I've been here a few times for dinner and lunch. The lunch specials are a fair price for the quality of food.

One of my favorite places to eat. Great service! Best bartender. Makes the perfect Cosmopolitan. The food and proteins are always perfectly prepared and flavorful. What a gem this place is! The Greek Chicken Pasta was prepared beautifully. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was divine. All accompanied by warm bread and a nice oil, garlic and Parmesan dipping sauce. I had the Fruit and Nut Chicken salad. The house made raspberry vinaigrette was delicious. Whenever we are in town we try to go here. It is a great place with good food and drinks. Usually we all take filet but last time I tried the lamb chop appetizer and it was really good so this time I took the entree. Half of it was fat, the other half was bone, and one bite of lamp meat. You are better off sticking with the appetizer as actually get more meat for half the price. Bella is definitely back! Like so many establishments, we felt service declined during and post pandemic, but they have once again found their groove. We typically dine here at least bi-weekly, and it's always perfect! The servers are friendly, knowledgable, and appear to enjoy working as a team. The food is always fantastic, and the specials are creative and varied. Wine selections are limited, but solid. This is easily one of, if not the best, dining option in Venango County. Service was outstanding. I was able to easily obtain a fantastic ribeye (medium rare, great flavor), with all the sides and fixin's to go. Even though they were quite busy, my takeout order was quick (hadn't even finished my drink), on a Saturday night even. I will be sure to dine here again on my next trip. read more

4 Hungry people looking for a relaxing dinner, stumbled upon Bella Cucina located in Franklin, Pa. As we walked into the establishment we asked a couple leaving, "How is the food"? the instant reply was , " We come here ALL the time." So, in we went. We were greeted and sat immediately, but you could tell that earlier they had been quite busy. The restaurant was quaint and clean, with cloth napkins at our place setting. Our busboy was prompt and filled our water glasses quickly, explaining that our server would be over shortly. When our waitress arrived she introduced herself with a pleasant smile and a warm welcome. "Bre is my name , and I am here to serve you this evening." (And serve us she did!), efficiently taking our beverage orders, and clearly explaining the Specials of the night, along with answering questions as we proceeded. Our salads arrived in a timely fashion, (Pic included) with the promised House made dressings of our choice. Even the Ranch and Bleu Cheese had the distinct flavors of freshly created. The main course was delivered just as we finished our salads, and was cooked to perfection, and clearly was NOT sitting under a heat lamp waiting for someone to fetch them. The one steak that was ordered came Exactly as ordered, and a remark was made at the tenderness and taste was fantastic! The Peppercorn Filet Pappardelle (House made noodles, layered with red and yellow tomatoes, caramelized onions & arugula bathed in a Madeira Herb Cream sauce) was absolutely heaven. We have frequently eaten at this restaurant and the food and service is always very good. The last time we had dinner there we were charged 3% for using a credit card. I feel a restaurant where a meal cost more than $30.00 on average should not be charging the extra amount. It should be a cost of doing business. To make matters worse is the fact that we were not told prior to ordering or mentioned on the menu that there is a charge for using credit card. Our bill came to $300.00 and we were charged extra $10.00. No excuse for that. read more

There is nothing comparable within 50 miles. It's a very good Italian themed place with excellent service and good execution. We shared a Waldorf salad and had the special lobster sliders as entrees. There is a pretty good wine list with very reasonable prices. Overall an extraordinary local gem. read more

This has to be one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and I feel that I have been to a lot. I say this because of the quality of the food with respect to the price. I came here yesterday with a friend of mine and, after taking a power nap, was tired, groggy, and not really in the mood for a decent sized meal. Nonetheless, I ordered the duck egg rolls with sweet soy and siracha aioli. The rolls were unbelievably tasty and were so well-presented. For my entrée, I ordered the pork chop with a raspberry sauce potatoes and asparagus. Again, it was amazing and the raspberry sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness and really brightened up the pork chop both in terms of taste and presentation. My bill was around $29, which also included the Bella Salad (my friend paid for the duck rolls). I've been here before a couple of other times and my experience was excellent on all occasions. On this occasion, I didn't feel like dining, but still dined like a champ due to the awesome food. Like I said, one of the best. Look forward to returning soon. read more

It looks the part, for sure. But the food is not worth the money. I ordered steak medium rare and the gumbo. The steak was well done and the gumbo tasted like it came out of a can. Very disappointing. I wish restaurants that charge an arm and a leg would pay attention to detail. It seemed the gumbo was thrown together instead of embracing the true way of making gumbo, which I would expect from this place. The staff are very professional and friendly. Although very busy on the Wednesday before Applefest, the staff at Bella Cucina did a wonderful job of serving our large group. The salmon and the walleye special that my wife and I enjoyed were outstanding. Gretchen who seated us, worked the bar, and helped out was terrific. Highly recommend an evening out here. read more

This place is a true gem in western Pa. The menu is inspired. Not what you'd expect in small town pa. My wife and I have eaten here over 25 times. Never disappointed. Ava the owner is always present, greeting guests and assuring the highest quality. The servers are all professional, pleasant and not overbearing. The bartenders know how to mix a drink. The menu is varied the food is the best in a 30 mile radius (at least!). I usually do not order fish outside of metropolitan area but any fish I've had here has been on par with the best. Just finished a trout dish cooked to perfection. Can't go wrong with the steak, pork chops or lamb. The veggies are fresh and delicious! The wine list is good with a nice selection and reasonable mark up. If you are anywhere close to Franklin stop in. You won't be disappointed. PS to the person who gave them a one star review, his suggestion to go to McDonald's tells you all you need to know. This isn't fast food. To each his own! read more

Staff is great but food is meh. Nice menu selection but their food quality has been going down. My guess is they have plateaued-- and why shouldn't they? They're the only "fancy" restaurant in 50 miles. I like to support small businesses so I'm not going to trash them-- they have probably had a really hard year and are trying to cut corners like mad. read more

Mmm this was a surprise I always say "there is no place good to eat in Pennsylvania unless it is pizza or wings" - but I can't say that any more. The potato bacon corn chowder was wonderful I wish I would have ordered a bowl instead of a cup! The chick cordon bleu sandwich was good too - the chicken breast need a couple of whacks with a meat tenderizing hammer it was at least 1-1/2" thick on one side but it was delicious. Stopped on our way home from our cabin and ended up having a fabulous meal. We didn't make a reservation so we sat at the bar. When a table didn't show they seated us and treated us very well. Not only is the menu great the wine list is superb. This will be a regular stop for us or we would even drive there for a special night. If I were to try to find something negative it may be the carpet in back section on way to bathroom. Just needs replaced. Otherwise I can't think of anything negative. Requests are accommodated by an excellent staff of professional servers the likes, I'd say could keep ranks with the servers local union in Pittsburgh. It was a beautiful night to dine on the porch with a view of the park. The halibut special was great. We also had the pecan crusted chicken that has always been a favorite, and it did not disappoint. We topped off our meal the Creme Brule and we highly recommend it! read more

First their website is in Japanese?? Second the menu linked from yelp is no where near to what their actual menu is. Ok, the disclaimer says some items may change, but this was completely different. The house salad was good, but the tomato bisque was a little acidic and needed sweetening. There were more seeds than meat in the tomatoes. It also was not a true creamy bisque, more like a tomato puree. The hubs had shrimp and scallops that had a very fishy taste and the shrimp was a bit rubbery. He didn't finish it. I had the salmon with horseradish sauce. I love horseradish but this was an extremely powerful sauce so I couldn't even taste the salmon. Didn't finish that either. Service was on the slow side as we had to wait a while for our entrees. When they came, the plates were hotter than the food. I had to ask our waitress twice for more water. Each time she passed by and asked if we were OK, I don't think she bothered to hear the answer. We had great expectations for this place, but were very disappointed. read more
