Recommended by the KOA in Mercer, MBP turned out to be a diamond in the rough. Stopped in for a late dinner w best friend, Make a Left, no Right, I Think. Immediately felt at home. Very welcoming, cozy vibe. Menu was eclectic. Lots of great choices for appies and entrees. MaL,nR,IT had a chicken cheesesteak sandwich w a cup of French onion soup. He raved about it. Chunks of chicken, banana peppers, fried onions, and cheese on a sub roll. Naturally, he had to use a knife and fork. I had THE MOST AMAZING cheeseburger I've ever had... better than the old Mannions in Yonkers NY or Squires. 8 ounces of a blend of chuck, brisket, and "I forgot" on a grilled roll, with Swiss and fried onions. If you know me, I usually put ketchup on my ketchup. Not this time. My cb was naked, no ketchup needed. I savored EVERY DELECTABLE BITE!!! Service was ok. Waitress came over to take order, deliver food, and give final bill. No in between check ups. Food was nothing special. Burger was bland and cooked closer to rare than to medium. Bun was hard. French fries were those that the school sells. Philly steak was your typical chipped steak you get anywhere else. My daughter enjoyed her Kraft Mac and cheese kids meal. The kids grilled cheese was good as it was on sourdough bread toasted to perfection. Mgmt and staff made our family reunion a huge success by being available on a holiday, and very successfully handling a group of about 60 people with NO problems or mixups, in a very timely manner. The room looked good and was adequate for the number of people. They did a Fantastic job and we are truly impressed! The food was great - I didnt hear a negative comment from anyone. Update: I visited once again with a business group of seventeen. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. My Southwest Chicken was tender and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and added stars. There were two other very large groups with ours and the staff handled everything with grace. So glad I went back! read more

This is the place to eat if you're in the Grove City area or shopping at the Pme Outlets. Service was great and the menu has a little bit of everything. A lot of original items to select from. I had the garlic knots for an appetizer and they were really good. I had an original MBP creation, the Italian Wedding Melt sandwich, which was meatloaf, chicken, provolone cheese with a dressing on sourdough bread. A very friendly atmosphere. Feeling a tad hungry prior to my Premier Outlet shopping excursion, I came across this place driving an extra few minutes past the main drag. My first impression was that it looked a bit seedy as it had that 'out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere' vibe to it. However, once I walked in and was seated, I immediately got a very warm homey vibe. The bar area was quaint and quiet with a few people, and there were a number of flatscreens. The main dining area was also quaint, had low lighting, and had a flatscreen. The room was also adorned with local western PA decor that added to the charm. I ordered one of the specials, which was a seafood special consisting of cod, shrip, and scallops marinated in orange juice, and accompanied by wild rice. Most of the time, I end up getting a to-go box, but not this time. I literally cleaned my entire plate (except for the side of coleslaw). My meal was perfectly filling while also being healthy. Had I not been in a rush to get to my shopping, I would have enjoyed even more the warm, homey vibe of the venue and likely ventured to the bar area to watch some football and had a drink or two. In short, I really enjoyed my meal, the vibe of the place, and my overall dining experience. Important to add that the food was well above your typical bar fare. Didn't want to forget the staff who were all lovely and very nice and accommodating. Moral of the story is never judge a book by it's cover. read more

This was our second year coming to this restaurant. Last year, service was excellent and food was delicious. However, we had a completely opposite experience this year. Our waitress appeared extreme miserable and never attempted to be pleasant despite us trying to smile and be cordial. There were five sides that were forgotten until we mentioned them. The seafood trio, which was well-seasoned/buttered last year, was so bland and sparse this time. We asked for ketchup but didn't receive it. I've never left a negative review before and Im honestly having a hard time submitting this one. But, people have the right to know things have changed here. I hope they can turn things around, but we'll definitely go to a different place next year. P.S The burger has make to perfection and we had one happy person in our party because of it. read more

It's pretty cool looking inside. Also a nice patio outside which is where we sat. The food tasted so good! Steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Came with asparagus and mashed potatoes & gravy. And a salad. Good dressing and the mashed potatoes were deliciousio and gravy was super!! I could survive on the mashed potates & gavy alone. It's a hard commodity to get at a restaurant. I like to get straight to the point so here's what you need to know about my experience: -- my burger was cold -- the waitress was ANYTHING but pleasant; order alcohol if you want your waitress's attention -- if you want any of the salads, make it at home... you spend $16 for what's essentially a side salad -- the soup was at best lukewarm and the waitress said + I quote "oh sorry, the soup warmer actually wasn't even on hahaha" All this to say, I was really disappointed + there are FAR better options in the area... especially with Primanti Brothers up the road read more

I'm really rating this a 2.5. Service: promptly seated but apparently the server assigned to our table didn't know it was her table. Once we flagged the hostess, it was straightened out and our server was polite but the service still was slow getting our food once the order was placed. Menu: lots of options that looked enticing from pasta dishes to sandwiches, to ribs. Food: Yeah, about those ribs. My husband and I made a colossal mistake. We should never, ever order the same thing. We both ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and we then were both greatly disappointed and couldn't beg to share the other's dish so we both suffered. The quantity was plenty but the taste was just plain awful. I'm gonna say worst ribs I ever had. Dry and tough. The slathering in bbq sauce trick it came to the table with did not help. We both ate a few bites and cried "uncle". Since it took so long to get our food there was no way we were gonna complain and get something else. Back to the Service: We weren't going to actively complain but our server asked so we had to be honest about how we felt about the ribs. She came back in a bit and offered us cheesecake. Saved it for later (still haven't tried it as of this post). Thought it was a very sweet gesture. Would I be back? I think so. I would try one of the pasta dishes advertised on the menu. Family owned business between Volant and grove city. We decided to stop by when we saw the sign that said "live music from 4-7". What a pleasant surprise! The dining room is nicely set up. Lots of space. We sat outside on the deck where the music was. It seemed there was only one server to a lot of people . While she did her absolute best, she seemed agitated. If the music is what brings the crowd there should be more then one server to accommodate that many people. We ordered salads which were very large and priced reasonably. We were in the area and looking to not eat at a chain restaurant. Remembered that MBP was within 10 minutes and decided to head there. We had forgotten that they have great food. Now I am not talking burger and fries, but stuffed haddock and others that are also good. This night I was with our friends and food was great! Service was a touch slow, but the place was busy, so you make allowances. All-in-all a great dinner! Oh - don't get the chocolate-peanut butter pudding pie! My wife and I shop at Grove City a lot. Our favorite restaurant is my brothers place. The cheeseburgers are American to a tee. But one of the biggest reasons was a bartender named Tiffanie. We could go months without going there and she was always knew what we ordered. We were just there today and found out she was demoted and got less than fantastic service from somebody that could have cared less if we went to the crappy BBQ place up the street. DO NOT GO HERE! 3 friends and I walked in at 10:30PM and one guy was sitting at the bar and told the bar tender not to serve us. No ID check, no age verfication or anything... The owner looked at us and deemed that we were not good enough to drink at his bar, even though we could've spent lots of money there. From other reviews it sounds likes this bar is good but the owner is defiantly going to kill the business eventually. We arrived here to a line, we put our name in and was told 25 min wait . 1hr later with our 9 month old son we where still waiting . As I looked at the list the hostess scratched our name off the list and never seated us. No apology, didn't seem to care at all. The food was ok, service could use some help . I don't know why so many people are complaining about My Brother's Place. My wife and I went there today for the first time. We had chef - style salads. The service was excellent, our waitress being attentive and courteous. The regular chicken salad was enormous. My wife's half gyro salad was enough for her. We will be returning. read more

What a joke. I have been here without complaint, but today was ridiculous. The waitress was beyond rude. Coffee cold and old. Had to ask twice for cream. Hubby ordered pink lemonade, got water. Asked again for lemonade and got a bowl of lemon slices. First words from our waitress was "we're out of everything". We got 4 menus for 6 people. We decided to leave and asked for a bill. Go if you want some excellent food AND are willing to wait the time that a made-from-scratch meal takes. A beer list that included some craft offerings would help the wait. Husband and I stopped here on a Friday night. It was our first visit but had heard good things. When we walked in there was a sign that said 'Please Wait To Be Seated'. We stood there for about 5 minutes until my husband asked a passing waitress if we were going to be seated. After another 5+ minute wait, we were seated...sort of. We were told to "pick a high top" and the girl followed us over with menus. Okay, well if that's all we needed to do than I would have sat down 15 minutes ago. After looking at the menu for another 15 or more minutes, no joke, a waitress finally comes over and takes our drink and food order. The waitress was sweet and you tell she was working a large area. She also said they had a couple large parties in the back. I wonder if they normally under staff or if they had to pull staff from the front for the large groups that came in unannounced. I'd hope that this isn't a normal occurrence. It took a long while for our drinks to come out...well, my soda and his water. Then the tap had to be changed before his beer could come. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of just 1 is because my husband liked the fries and the ranch was good. And the place seemed to be pretty clean, from what I could see. The food was decent. Portions were good. There definitely needs to be a different set up when you walk in..maybe someone to greet you, seat you faster. And more staff, especially on the weekends. We were in line with several other people, we gave our name and the party behind us said they made reservations early in week. The hostess was really smart with them and said they could not accommodate them because they had a big group in back. Might I add that we waited in line at leased 10 minutes for the hostess to show up. They ended up walking out. Then the hostess tells us the kitchen is backed up and it will be 45 minutes before they can seat us. We might want to go somewhere else. We did.
