A nice detour for lunch from I80 highway. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambience, lots to see in the restaurant from stuffed animals to pictures to carousel animals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fast and friendly. Food was very delicious and came out warm. The burgers were outstanding done right! Cob salad was huge with a lot of toppings. Would definitely put on my list again for return. Looks like they're known for their prime rib and their French onion soup. Price is reasonable on the lunch menu. read more

I wanted to send a few words about our last visit to the Iron Bridge Restaurant. This location has been one of our favorite places to eat. Even though we live directly across from the Log Cabin Inn (a sister restaurant) and have to pass Rachels Roadhouse(also a sister restaurant), we much prefer the food, service, staff members, menu and atmosphere of the Iron Bridge. I was absolutely DEVASTATED on our visit with our close friends on 7/10/26 and was informed that their Shrimp and Grits have been removed from the menu. Our server Lesley was absolutely fantastic. She immediately went back to the kitchen and asked if they could still make this for me and the Kitchen staff had some remaining grits to make an order for me. I relocated 8 years ago from South Carolina and I seek out the best Shrimp and Grits whenever I can. I have to say that in my opinion the Iron Bridge Shrimp and Grits are one of the top 2 or 3 I have ever eaten! I want to also commend both our server Lesley as well as the kitchen staff for going above and beyond in making a customer visit special but also for all their work to prepare and serve our whole party with their meals as well. I went there because I'm a state guy and it's one of the bigger sirloin steaks you can get in the area. However, this steak is unseasoned and underwhelming especially for the price and the distance I drove. Now as for the Dr. Pepper ribs, those are awesome. I don't remember what else I've gotten from there and that should tell you all you need to know. If it's unrememorable it's not worth it. read more

I was in Mercer for business travel and stopped at the Iron Bridge Inn due to strong reviews online. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was charming and old-school and there was a great crowd for a Monday night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started off with a $2 Yuengling pint, which I found out is an all day every day deal. Loved the seasonal pork chops with cranberry pear relish and cheesy grits and my coworker spoke highly of the pot roast and the seasonal mule to drink. Met some friends here on a Saturday and had a great time! I would recommend getting a reservation - it was packed at 7pm! We sat in a booth near the bar and loved looking at all the memorabilia and animals on the wall. Really neat atmosphere! We had a very fun, sweet, energetic waitress - wish I caught her name - she was awesome at recommendations and helped us pick our meals. We got the cowboy dip that was on special and wow, the pitas alone were incredible! My fish and the home made chips were so crispy, the chip dip was INCREDIBLE. We all left with empty plates! Also. Crispy rib app was disappointing. They were tender but lacked flavor depth. The shrimp and grits were great. A little skimpy on the sausage and the $6 up charge for the added chicken wasn't worth it. $36 Ribeye came out WELL DONE after being ordered medium rare and the mashed potatoes came out looking like a baked potato. Server believes they crosse up the plates by accident. Steak was well cooked the second time but very little seasoning. No seasoning really. We got here late enough in the dinner service that they were out of a number of things. We settled for the Bavarian pretzels. The dip was warm and cheesy. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with chicken sausage in brown butter sauce. I didn't expect this presentation. I was expecting the sausage to be stuffed in the ravioli not cut up around the plate. They were heavy on the brown butter sauce. It could've used a little less sauce and a little more non-brown coloring. While the ravioli, sausage and sauce tased very good the one-note color palette of my plate was not appetizing. That being said I would definitely eat here again. read more

We stopped in for the Sunday brunch buffet. We remembered it from years past as a lovely buffet, including various types of salad and side dishes, the usual egg offerings, bacon and sausage, carved-on-the-spot roast beef and ham and a wide selection of pastries and desserts. What was offered yesterday was scrambled eggs, sausage (cooked to briquette - almost black on the outside and completely dry), eggs Benedict with undercooked eggs, home fried potatoes (possibly from frozen, as they were raw inside), a few pastries and one bowl of fresh fruit. No salads, no sides. As a person with celiac disease, I had to ask if I could eat the sausage and/or the potatoes. The "carver" said he thought so - I asked him who would know for sure, and he pointed to the ceiling. Very poor taste, although he apparently did check with the "chef," who said the sausage was safe to eat. Too bad it was burned. I also noted that the fresh fruit bowl (yay, something I could eat) was sitting right next to a raised platter containing mini doughnuts. I could see crumbs mixed in with the fruit - so, another item I couldn't eat. We were very disappointed in the changes to what used to be a brunch buffet worth driving an hour to enjoy. We really enjoy coming here for dinner. The food is very good and service is always good. Had a great lunch at Iron Bridge. I had beef on weck...outstanding! Weck bun nicely toasted, au jus was delicious, as was the horseradish sauce. Had a side of tots which were hot and crisp. We went for the brunch on a rainy Sunday. We were seated immediately as we showed up at 10:20 they open at 10am on Sunday. The brunch was well under way. Nice decor and feeling of an old time bar and grill. Service was prompt and got our coffee, which was very nice. We then proceeded to the brunch buffet. Upon entering we enjoyed interacting with the staff as they shared the items to partake in. Honestly, we tried a bit of everything including the pastries. First time back at Iron Bridge in over a year. Stopped for late lunch around 1:30pm on a Thursday. My bartender, Devyn, was great. I ordered oysters, because they're a tad rare & hard to get in these parts...but they were disappointing, 4 of them were ok & the other two tasted nasty. But my steak gyro was tasty & I had a nice house salad. I had 2 different craft beers. I like the atmosphere of Iron Bridge. read more

I have dinner here at least once a month and have for years. Excellent food and very good service.

I was hungry when I got here so the freshly baked bread and creamy butter was oh so nice. The nice crispy edges and soft center of the bread hit the spot. The wife got the Ahi tuna salad and I got the Chicken and Shrimp creole. The tuna was great and prepared as asked. The chicken and shrimp were blackened, which is why I got it. Since I use little salt The first bite was too salty for me. I just ate it with some rice and it balanced it out. The flavor is what will keep me coming back. I haven't been here for over 10 years - since I've moved further away - and it's as good as it used to be, which is rare for a place. Nice indeed. read more

Ate here today because of organizing a family get together. From the day I made the reservation, to the completion of our meal today I was very impressed with the service. There were 8 in our group and we really enjoyed the food. Had a great time. I do recommend if you are wanting to make a reservation for a larger group during the holidays to do so a few weeks in advance. The Hungarian stuffed peppers are super good. Highly recommend that as an appetizer. We ordered various entrees, and of our group, three ordered the prime rib. Loved it! Made to order. Was driving through grove city from Canada to Va and searched for good food. This restaurant name came up in yelp and decided to take a chance. The place was located middle of nowhere and from outside looked old. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside decor also took you back in old days but was nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Host and servers were nice. Is this a restaurant or a comedic show? My husband Clinty Bear, and I went to Iron Bridge for our 38th Anniversary Dinner. We got the steak salad and nachos for dinner. The service was amazing, but I did get startled at one thing... a huge burst of thunder-from-down-under. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once me and hubby arrived, we got sat at a little small table in the corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Across from us in a large circular booth against the wall sat an obnoxious large family. Two adults and three girls. All they did was talk- and talk- and TALK. Every single time I tried talking to my hubby about tickle time, we got interrupted by laughing, screaming, and fartin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got aggravated the most by a young girl around the age of ten. She was laughing and yelling, and it got me to feel like a volcano about to bust everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had finally gotten their food and began eating. I saw the young girl start to make some weird faces then I heard her sneeze. A few minutes later she sneezed again and I was... SHOOK. When she had sneezed she let out a booty ticklin TOOT.
