    Cake

I had a jungle theme cake and the cake was nice but the zebra had MISSING ARMS. I didn't notice until I was home. They had no attention to detail.

We ended up putting the green flowers ourselves but look at the cake falling!

If there was an option to give this bakery zero stars, I would do it. We ordered a cake for my bridal event from them and it came out looking worse than a cake you purchase at a market! There were many things wrong so let me break it down for you... 1. They gave us a two-tiered cake in a flat cardboard base without a box or any support for it to be in a car and taken to the event location. 2. We purchased a box of green hued flowers to place on the cake and instead, they chose only the white flowers in it and gave us back a box full of green flowers that we purchased for them to use and they didn't. 3. The frosting is so cheap that the cake was tilting to the side even after being in the car for only 10 mins total (it takes 45 to get to the event location). So you can imagine the state it was in getting there. I wish I could show you but when it got to the location it was almost unsalvageable to place in the fridge that we had to throw it out and go purchase another cake. 4. When I called the store to complain, a lady spoke to me and instead of providing good customer service to a very unhappy customer she kept going back and forth with me telling me that we asked for an all white cake and this is why she only put white flowers. What we said was an all white cake in terms of frosting and to put the very clear green hued flowers on it. 5. In the end, the lady told me that we can bring her the cake back to fix it. I'm sorry honey but we paid you $250 to make quality cake for us and you guys didn't deliver that. Instead of telling us to bring you the cake back, get your a** over there and fix the very clear mistakes you made. That's basic customer service. Bottom line, this bakery is overpriced for market quality ingredients, presentation, and customer service. They sure will not be receiving any more service from us or anyone we know any longer. We made a mistake coming here, I assure you all there are far better bakeries in the valley! Think twice about this one!

This bakery is really good! Not only the food but the customized cakes! They have a lady who is an artist and has made each of my son's birthdays unforgettable! I am not going to gatekeep this place because it is too good.

    Custom sugar cookie

I needed custom cookies for my son's baptism that was very last minute & stumbled upon La Paz Bakery on yelp... I had called thinking there's no way they would have the time to make 75 cookies in a few days notice. Well I was wrong! They were able to do it for me and I'm so happy with my cookies! I was able to text them a picture of what I wanted which was also super convenient. The cookies came out even more gorgeous than the picture I had sent! Will definitely be going back for my next event.

I added the edible pearls and gold dust.

I ordered a 10-inch round tres leches cake from here after checking out a few bakeries nearby. Gotta be honest, wasn't too thrilled with the taste of the cake; it had like 7 layers. Personally, I think it would've been better with more cake and fewer layers.

This place is as much as you can get home cooked meals. It's salvican (Salvadoran /mexican). For breakfast it's always packed with people getting their pupusas or a bread filled with beans and cheese and eggs. You can put whatever you want into that bread. Their aguas frescas are so good......specially horchata. And on weekends they have sopa de pata (beef feet soup). It's so good. The ladies there are super sweet and friendly and they always so helpful and adorable.

They did the best wedding cake. I'm slow putting up this review I got married August 2023. We gave them a beach cake design and they made a perfect cake. We got to taste different cakes and that was fun. We got a 3tier wedding cake and they delivered it to our reception in Malibu. It looked beautiful and tasted great. I would highly recommend them. In fact, I recommended them to my daughter who's getting married in 2026.

The location here in Woodland Hills is at the Topanga village right near the front/parking lot area. It was easy to find and walkable. The store itself was a throwback to those cute 50s bakery style shops. Adorable, I absolutely loved it. Decor was super cute and the inside was clean and spacious for window shopping. The staff are what make this bakery magical. Everyone was so so nice and helpful. They were even extra sweet to my friend and threw in a freebie for her as she is having her baby soon. The staff answered all my questions as it was my first time and were knowledgeable about the menu. I walked out with some delicious thin chocolate chip cookies and my friend got a cupcake. Great spot and would highly recommend checking them out if you have a sweet tooth or want some seriously impressive baked goods for a party/event.

When you come in, it's refreshing to see the open space. It's clean with plenty of seating whether you want to sit and dine and work or head to the back to just chill. I got their iced dirty chai. I've been craving one lately and it hit the spot. They had sandwich samples so tried their turkey sandwich. Also I got to meet the owner and he was nice enough to let me try a sample of their chocolate chip cookie which it had sea salt and made with sourdough. It was also warmed up for me. I can taste the combination of the cookie and it was really good. I would get this because it's different and it works. The owner is really nice and explained how they came here to the valley and have other locations in Palmdale. Parking is on the street or the small paid parking lot in the back but on the other side of the block. I think this area needed something more modern like this.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in, the barista was super friendly and made sure to check which milk I wanted as I almost forgot to say I wanted oat! I got a medium iced latte with vanilla and strawberry syrup. I wish every coffee shop had strawberry syrup. Because I think this was one of the best lattes I've ever had. It was incredible. The only catch is that it's quite small and expensive... I know that's typical for bougie coffee these days. It's just unfortunately not something I can be in the habit of getting often. But I drank it all in maybe just 5 minutes. Partly because it was unbelievably delicious but also I don't think there was much in there! Especially with how much ice is in it. Maybe I'll just get a hot one next time. I will definitely be back because I'm going to be thinking about it for a while now.

The…read moreplace looked popular with tables filled on the patio and the pastries on display through the window looked intriguing so decided to take a chance and maybe get a small coffee and some pastries to try. There was a young man at the counter who welcomed us with a wonderful smile. He said his name is Said (pronounced Sa-eed) and asked if it was our first time here. We said it was, so he offered to give us some samples of their most popular bake goods. He said it is made of light custard and it's called soft cake and it is traditional pastry from his country in Uzbekistan that his mother bakes all from scratch. In Asia we also don't like overly sweet cakes so we thought it sounded to fit our taste preferences. And we loved it after trying! My mom said it tastes very similar to the cake she had back in Seoul in her childhood she misses fondly, but she could never have that same taste. Just a little sweeter. But the custard and texture of the cake is just the same. We also got the eclair. And it was pretty good too. But definitely recommend the soft cake!! Sooo yummyyy!! I also got the strawberry cold foam matcha latte and my mom got a small americano coffee. She said it's the best coffee she had in a cafe. Of course superb compared to Starbucks or any other coffee franchise. She says American coffee shops always burn their beans so it tastes burnt, but this place roasted the beans just right. And we also loved the strawberry cold foam matcha. I don't know how, but it tasted like really strawberry was in the drink!! My mom said it's the best strawberry milk she ever had here and in Korea! And she wants to order again when we come by next time. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Food and drinks were all prepared with such care, but given at a reasonable time. Some of these cafes take forever to make your drinks, even Starbucks makes you wait 20 minutes! These other coffee shops make it seem like they're doing some complex chemistry experiment how long it takes for just a drink! But this young guy he makes the drink in under 5 min and it tastes 10x better anything those other coffee shops make, but in less than half the time! I really thought maybe it was really hard making drinks, but this young dude makes it look like a walk in the park, the speed and ease he cranks out the drinks. I think Uzbekistan people must be just built different! and he was also so kind and pleasant taking the time to explain and answer all our questions. Some of these other places wouldn't even bother or make it feel like you're pulling a nail from them the way they grimace. He was so nice we wanted to give a tip, but he even said he didn't want us to. He'd happily accept just our enjoying the food and drinks and would appreciate if we left a review for his cafe. just had to leave a review. Especially after how nice he is. And hearing his story and how it's a family run bakery with the mom baking and son making drinks and running front counter. And an authentic European bakery!! Wow! Aren't we so glad they moved into our neighborhood! A Real quality cafe I didn't even know what I was missing until I stepped into this little shop by mere chance! I Will definitely come by again. And anyone else who discovers this little gem would be so lucky and blessed as us!
