After searching all over Los Angeles, I've finally found the most perfect dental practice! The administrative staff (Dom, and a young lady whose name I don't know), the dental assistant, Sarah, the dental hygienist, and especially the dentist herself, Dr. Bella Doshi, are incredibly professional, courteous, caring, and adept in their skillset. Their offices have the most technologically advanced imaging systems which make it incredibly easy to visualize what's going on with my teeth. They also use this handheld camera inside my mouth to help make the final crowns that go atop my teeth, and since they use 3D imaging, there is no need (usually) to make any adjustments once the crown arrives from the manufacturing facility, given that the visual/electronic information is sent over electronically, and they aren't relying on a physical temporary mold to base the final crown on. Dr. Doshi is an amazing dentist! She is so gentle and detailed and patient! I'm so used to dentist usually being rushed and doing a crappy job. She crowned 2 of my teeth and invisaligned me as well and I'm so happy with the attention to detail and bedside manner. I Can confidently say that this is the first dentist I come to and don't feel pain when getting worked on! As for these other reviews I see, I can assure you she is not diagnosing anything unnecessary at all! If you have cavities or anything concerning for that matter she informs you right away you can get the proper treatment done before it gets to the point where you can no longer save the tooth! I appreciate that about her. There have been so many dentist I went to in the past that see I have decay and don't tell me and wait till it gets to the point of a root canal! I would avoid this dentist at all costs, she doesn't care about her patients and just drills and fills to make money. She's been my dentist for a while with never ending cavities, as soon as you finish her treatment plan she does an oral exam and "finds" new cavities. I knew something wasn't adding up at my last appointment when she suggested extensive work. I got a second opinion and the new dentist didn't think any of that was necessary. She is also very petty! Her office charged me for a $25 fluoride toothpaste and never gave it to me, twice! I noticed this irregularity when i requested my records and my acct ledger. If you are taking advantage of your patients for $25 I'm pretty sure your billing and your quality of work is also questionable. Her office also took an entire week to send my records (which were of poor quality btw), the x-rays were so small and even charged me $15 to send the files to me. PETTY! We had a very bad interaction at my last appointment, she was basically asking me questions with her hands in my mouth, shutting me up so i can't talk and so i moved her hand away from my face so i can talk and disassociated for the rest of the appointment because i know i would not be going back or acting on her treatment plan. Apparently she didn't like this because she sent me a letter (certified mail!), saying she can't be my dentist going forward. Girl please, as if I would ever step foot in her office again. I was referred to Dr. Doshi by a friend after moving to Santa Monica from Burbank. I wanted to save my commute to drive to The Valley to see my previews dentist. On my first visit Dr. Doshi recommended a ton of work. From a root canal, to replacement of crown and replacement of some old fillings. Because she was recommended I went through with some of the treatments. The prices are a lot higher than my previous dentist by a couple hundred dollars (not a small percentage). I felt that one of my crowns was coming loose. I came to see her to have her check my tooth. She said there was nothing wrong with it. A week later my crown complete came off. I went again to see her and she said that another crown would be sufficient. Not satisfied with the answer I went to see my preview dentist in The Valley who said that the tooth, given that it had a root canal, was not salvageable. Putting a crown on a root canal that had a leak would mean that a couple months down the road I would need an implant. My overall experience wasn't great with Dr. Doshi. I am not one to leave bad reviews but I felt not only she recommended something that would be very costly but also it was incorrect. She also recommended a lot of other expensive treatments and replacement of fillings that were not necessary. read more

On my first visit, Wendy, the hygenist was absolutely stellar! Her technique was excellent and she was so very personable. Although I only met Dr. Doshi for a moment, her bedside (chairside?) manner is en pointe. I knew I'd found my new dentist! I returned a few weeks later and had all my old fillings replaced and a new one done. Dr. Doshi chatted with me about a recent concert experience. I appreciated being treated like a valued client as well as a patient under her care. Also, it was as if she and her hygienist, Wendy, read each other's minds. They were flawless in their communication. Finally, the office staff is cheerful, polite and professional. They manage all the details so you know what you have going on and when it's going to happen. Add to that their use of SMS text for scheduling, and you've got a just about ideal situation. read more

Let's face it, going to the dentist is like, well, having your teeth pulled - pun intended! I've been to over 10 dentists in my (lets say) mature life. It took me this, so many years, to find a dentist that is so professional, pristinely clean and with a "hold your hand" bed side manor that takes all of the grief away from from this annual (in my case bi-annual) dreaded visit. Dr. Doshi has this zen inner peace that radiates to her patients that just works. She has past on these traits to her staff, so the whole office runs on a mantra styled hum. She not only knows teeth, she knows the whole mouth and all extenuating contributions each part plays in your oral health. Honestly don't skip past the bad reviews because you like what you hear in the good ones. If you like spending $200 over what you're quoted with out a real explanation by all means go here. If you want your teeth to be more sensitive after getting work you didn't want, but you were convinced you needed in order to get their over priced Invisalign, be my guest and come here. If you want someone who is uneducated about how Invisalign, a service they offer, then be my guest and come on in. When I asked about the process they told me to "try googling it". Upon googling it I found a website Smile Direct Club that has the same service for a fraction of the cost. They have friendly reps to answer questions in a timely manner. I came in for 2 pains and was quoted $120. Paid. And got a bill in the mail 3 weeks later for $180 and the best I got was "oops I thought you were covered but I was wrong. The work is done so pay". I never would have got the work if I knew it was so costly at this location. They had the nerve to say "it's not really that big of a difference you see". Well if $180 waisted I no biggie this is the place for you. But I'm 22 with school loans and other bills to worry about. read more

I met Bella by coincidence, at a local restaurant when I was out with friends. She had told me she had a dental practice in Santa Monica. At the time, I made a mental note of that in case I ever needed a competent local Dentist. I have been going to my Dentist in Canada my whole life, so I am not big on change, but that being said, I need to have someone who is locally capable and reliable . Previous to my visit, I had been seeing another nice Dentist in Westwood for the last 5 years or so. Great guy, very responsive, by phone and email, but I felt his Hygienist and cleanings were not that great compared to what I was used to with my Dentist in Canada. I needed a Teeth cleaning exam with Xrays, and so I decided to give Bella a shot. The office is impeccably clean, the ladies at the front Desk were lovely and the Hygienist, I believe her name was Wendy, was very thorough, and knowledgeable, and very detailed in her cleaning. She offered tips for which tooth brush and floss to use, and made the experience very pleasant. I had no wait in the office at all, and was in and out in about an hour. I did have a discount coupon that made it easier, but the point is, even without it, this office, on my first visit does nice professional work with warm ambiance and nice friendly staff. I had asked for a copy of my Xrays and received right away, by email, so they are very responsive. Bella, is a doll, very charming, good human social skills, which is an important RARE trait for a Dr/Dentist. She seemed like a true expert at what she does. She looked at my Xrays, gave me her general opinion on the current state of my teeth/mouth, and it felt like she had a lot of integrity. On a personal level, it is hard for me to trust new Dr's or Lawyers in USA, especially LA, where everyone wants to make $ and upsell you, even if you don't need the work done. Bella was very classy, did not criticize or downplay my Canadian dentist, and even endorsed his night guard he had made for me, regarding, my clenching teeth. She did not try and push any services on me, and was very on point with any small questions I had Bottom line, is I would not hesitate to refer and recommend any new friends, family, and work colleagues to her practice. On this initial first experience, she is a pleasure to deal with, great location on West Side, and her staff is very punctual and responsive. 5 stars for this great first impression/appointment, and hopefully, a nice trusted relationship for my dental health going forward. read more

They ruin my teeth! I had invisalign with them, During the invisalign I had to do root canal and crown right in my front teeth with Dr. Doshi! And The crown looks terrible! I don't feel confident when i smile now because my crown! Also I use the invisalign from them and i don't see any improvement in my teeth! I have nice teeth before and now they ruin my teeth! In my quest to find a good dentist in LA, I finally stumbled upon "The One". One could say I've fallen head over heels with this office. Dr. Doshi and her ENTIRE staff are out of this world amazing. Not simply with the superb quality of work, but also because of their kind, attentive and prompt level of service. If you are at all phobic about the dentist...you can lay those fears to rest. Dr. Doshi is honest and will never go beyond the scope of what is needed for a healthy smile. Dr. Doshi is really great! She is not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable but she is also very informative and aware of your personal needs and questions that you may have. She and her staff are super nice and very attentive. She is constantly keeping you informed while she is working on your treatment and asks you if you are doing okay or if you have any pain. She let's you know ahead of time what she will be doing and what to expect. Her office is pristine and she uses all the latest dental technology and advancements so you really get the best treatment possible. I've had fillings, cleanings and other procedures done by Dr. Doshi over the last 20 years however recently I had some major issues starting with an old root canal that needed a re-treatment, plus another tooth that needed an extraction & implant, and also another crown on a 3rd tooth that was needed. Dr. Doshi recommended me to a great Oral Surgeon and an Endodontist for the other pre work that needed to be done and then Dr. Doshi did the post work and my crowns and she is going to do my implant afterwards. She has really made this as easy as possible for me to go thru. She not only checks in on you to see how you are doing later that same day after your treatment, but depending on your treatment, she also sends you home with a little to go bag with Vitamin E oil and Aloe juice in little to go containers to help with the sensitivity area, swelling etc to rub on your gums and tooth area! Never been a fan of the dentist and decided to visit Dr. Doshi since she was close by and had decent reviews. First visit was fine- she filled a cavity and had minimal pain but was constantly telling me over and over how terrible my teeth were. I told her I grind my teeth a lot and she told me my mouth guard would be upwards of $500 and when I panicked on how much that was she only further jabbed me by saying no one wants to end up with nubs for teeth and how she sees it all the time. Also said my gum line was receding. (False) The next time I went in they had said I had SEVEN CAVITIES and I was floored. How had 7 popped up in just 6 months? Perplexed I left the office crying after they told me the cost it would be (thousands) and they scolded me for poor hygiene. My gut said to go to a different dentist and thank god I did. Got my X-rays from this office to the new dentist and he explained how I had one cavity for sure needing to be filled and another very small one we could wait on. Also they marketed and sold me this dumb fluoride toothpaste for $25 which is not even necessary for my teeth per my new dentist. Unfortunately this office just cares about making $$$ and they are so rude. Wish I didn't have to leave a bad review but I felt the need to after my terrible experience.yikes read more

Dr. Doshi and her team are amazing!! I was referred to Dr. Doshi by a good friend after a horrible experience with another dentist. I had been seeing my previous dentist for a few years for my regular cleanings since she was located close to my work. I never had any serious dental work performed during those years and always had a pleasant experience during my cleanings so I had no reason to ever question the ability of my dentist.....until the day came when I needed a filling. You would think a dental filling would be a simple procedure, was I wrong! A few days after I received my filling I was still experiencing a lot of pain. I went back to see my dentist and she proceeded to "fix" the filling with no success, as I experienced even more pain after the second visit. A couple of days later, I visited Dr. Doshi's office after a glowing review from a friend. Dr. Doshi examined the filling and inserted a device with a camera into my mouth to show me the issue with my tooth. To my surprise, there was a hole in the side of my tooth that went down to my bone! I was mortified, my tooth was beyond basic repair at this point! A simple filling performed by another dentist caused me to have a root canal and a crown. Dr. Doshi was amazing during this experience. She referred me to an excellent oral surgeon for the root canal and even followed-up with me after the procedure was done. I later went back to Dr. Doshi to have a crown put on my tooth. The crown was beautiful and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. Dr. Doshi made me feel at ease through the entire process and performed excellent work. I will only see Dr. Doshi going forward for any dental work needed. An experienced, trustworthy, competent dentist is hard to find. I highly recommend Dr. Doshi!! read more

Wow, Dr. Doshi and her crew rolled out the red carpet yet again. I had a very tricky crown as I let it go for too long and the decay grew deep. Dr. Doshi went way beyond the call of duty. I knew it was an incredibly tricky case. Her work is impeccable and she is dedicated to making you feel like a million bucks after her treatment. She is so calm and thorough....and she also treats her staff so kindly. Anyway, each time I went back for a minor adjustment...the doctor and her staff took the same amount of time and care as my first appt. Other offices always try and rush patients out with these short appointments, but not this office. It is actually the opposite. They are so caring. On a side note, I have to say that the negative review below has to be from another dental office trying to take away Dr. Doshi's fine and well deserved reputation....it really sickens me to read lies like this. That review is completely bogus. Not only are Dr. Doshi's treatment costs reasonable, they are far less expensive than many other dentists I have seen over the years....and as previously mentioned, her care and expertise are superior. After years of traumatic dental experiences, and virtually on the cusp of enlisting the help of an anesthesiologist for even the simplest of procedures, i started seeing Dr. Doshi. Doshi has all the usual pros: clean and comfortable office, impeccable professionalism and punctuality, but what differentiates her from all other dentist I've met is her flawless attention to detail and sensitivity. Recommend! Dr. Doshi's dental office is a hidden treasure which my wife recommended to me! Dr. Doshi has been my dentist for a while and is by far the most professional and competent dentist ever to work on my teeth. Dr. Doshi is respectful to individual customer needs and has outstanding integrity. Dr. Doshi, identifies problems accurately, shows exactly what is wrong on the x-rays and then solves the problem. Every staff member is intelligent, courteous and easy to talk to. The fact that this staff is so great shows not only that Dr. Doshi is a great dentist but that she also has outstanding leadership. The experience in Dr. Doshi's office is on par with high-end Beverly Hills cosmetic dental offices, but at regular dental rates and preferred by my current dental insurance. If you are considering seeing Dr. Doshi - you will need two things - the ability to mortgage your house to pay her exorbitant fees and an appointment with another dentist to ensure that you do not get expansive unnecessary treatments and procedures Doshi will insist you need. I started seeing Doshi because she bought the practice of another dentist I used to see. But after a while, I found it odd that every time I went to see her, I required thousands of dollars of treatment. So this most recent time, after she once again told me I need two new crowns for two teeth that she said were cracked or on the verge of cracking - I decided to get a second opinion from a reputable dentist. Not only did he disagree with her course of treatment, he did not even see any of the issues she insisted I had after a thorough exam. I regret not getting a second opinion sooner. I've never had much wrong with my teeth. Now suddenly I need a crown, my filings are cracking and need to be replaced and they want to clean my teeth every 4 months instead of every six. I know other patients personally and have heard the same from them. Makes me wonder whats really going on in this dentist office. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more
