The first few questions the doctor asked me were the marital status of my parents, where they live, and if I swim or skii. I don't understand why these questions are relevant for my personal health (ok maybe the last one, but that's oddly specific?) She also incorrectly assumed my ethnicity twice (why not just ask directly instead of assume?) Oh yeah, she WILL get personal about the details of your sex life and relationships. I get a feeling she isn't very culturally aware and should know how to ask some questions in a more respectful manner. I also ordered a blood test and I was told it's uncommon for Americans under 35 to get blood test for physicals, since doctors can't prescribe medications for blood test results anyways. That's simply not true - most Americans I know have done at least some type of blood tests before 35 plus it's always good to be proactive about your health. I found this opinion of hers unprofessional. Overall a very odd experience. The only good thing is the front desk lady was nice, but I probably won't come back and suggest finding somewhere else for your check-ups.

Dr. Theresa Platz works at Lakeshore Clinic and is a stand-out in every sense. Lakeshore Clinic is getting better, but may be worth 2-3 stars tops. Dr. Platz is hard to get into and the scheduler offers other doctors when they tell you she's not available. I wait, or go elsewhere if need be. Lakeshore has a blood-draw & specimen lab, and X-ray faicility. However they lose X-rays and tell you to come back the following week for a simple blood draw... etc. It's hit & miss whether this place is more convenient than if she had a private office.

Do NOT ever let them record you for their notes because those notes and imformation can be seen by the billing department so not sure how they can violate Hepa but everyone does. Also, if the doctor asks you a question or notices something they just randomly mark it down as a diagnosis and then they bill you more as complex. For example, if you have acne but you came in for another reason and the doctor asks if you have acne and you say - I don't want to be treated for it - literally you say that, they can then write down a diagnosis of acne in your chart and charge you more for the visit. I don't think if the doctor notices something like that which you don't want to be treated for that they have the right to diagnose you without telling you. Make sure if you get asked to tell them that you don't want a "diagnosis". I feel like they are looking for diagnoses to make you complex case. I do not take any medications and have no chronic conditions but somehow UW Med says I am "complex" but no other doctor's practice has ever said that. Be very aware of what you say and what they write down is my recommendation.

I have been going here for six years and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. I have very complex health needs and I always know I will be treated kindly and with respect by everybody here -- doctors, nurses, staff, lab technicians, everybody. I came here after Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care was dismissive of my request, per my oncologist, to get a Covid test to confirm my positive home-test and get treatment due to being high-risk (I'm stage 4 cancer). I left there after the front desk lady said, "We don't give confirmation covid tests," and continued to dismiss me without even asking me any questions or talking with me. That's when I drove to Evergreen on 214th. At Evergreen, everything was great from when I walked in to when I left! The desk gal was kind and efficient, greeting me nicely and asking questions about how I was feeling, and what I needed, then getting me in quickly. The nurse was warm and knowledgeable, explaining what things might go into considering if they did a covid confirmation test or provided treatment with Paxlovid. Then the doctor was fantastic - a kind and intelligent woman with long red hair and an authentic aura about her. She asked about my situation and cared about my immune-suppressed state. The Evergreen doctor ordered a Covid nose swab and discussed other things they might do to help with the symptoms she asked about and be sure my weakened immune system was supported. She even helpfully explained that I likely wouldn't get a fever with Covid because my cancer drugs keep my immune system from being able to fight back as well against sickness (and fevers are the body fighting infection or virus). I left feeling well-cared for, knowing they'd contact me shortly with test results and be sending a Paxlovid prescription to my local pharmacy if needed and likely an antibiotic to be sure they shored up my compromised immune system as much as possible. All in all a fabulous contrast to what I experienced at Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care! I highly recommend Evergreen near 527 and 208th St SE!

We were coming from out of town and I wanted to be sure he had the support he needed since I had to leave early for the wedding activities. It was very hard to find an agency that would agree to do a single day appointment. Tanya did the intake interview and really connected with us over Zoom. Her communication skills were excellent and she provided his care the day of the wedding. She was timely, kept me informed via text, and made sure everything was organized. Back again for their vascular foundation and venous insuff. 5 day course. This time the course was…read moreheld in their main location in Bothell. The class room was big with duplex scanning machines set up. The lectures are indepth with power point presentation and those slides printed in a book for each student. The presenters are knowledgeable and have answered questions AND helped with the hands on scanning. The class is full day. The first part of the day(4hrs) is lecture. Then a CATERED LUNCH OF YOU CHOICE. The rest of the afternoon is for hands on scanning. PVI has live models that are normal and have pathology. They are usually clients and pleasant to work with. We had various instructors on different subjects and the Q&A got answered properly. Case studies were shown and as I mentioned each day, 4 hrs of hands on scanning with patients with and without disease. I know that PVI would put a great course together. My first experience with the TCD/TCI course showed me that PVI really put lecture and hands on training is worth the price. Materials are always provided and the instructors are more than willing to give additional information via email. This time around, I got to work with Ridge and Mimi again. But also got to learn from Anne, Lisa and Josh.. all great instructors. ------------------------------------------------------------------- As for Healthcare services. Pacific Vascular is a contractor to many hospitals in King County. All technologists are well trained as PVI is also a Vascular training center for people that meet their qualifications.

This Adult Family Home is actually Owned and run by a Nurse (RN), which is not always true. Many are run by Nurse Aids (CNAs). The Owner is very kind and did as much as she could to be helpful in arranging for my Dad's care and medical needs. The RN and CNA's who work here follow medical and safety regulations more closely than the nursing home staff, so it was easy to trust that they would provide good care for my Dad. They even helped my Dad discontinue medications that should have been stopped by the nursing home doctor by helping me understand how to talk with my Dad's primary care physician about his medications. I wish I had moved my Dad out of the nursing home and into this Adult Family Home sooner, because he received better care all around.
