I took my newborn baby here for his PKU (heel stick) test 10 days after birth, as instructed by the…read morehospital. The tech squeezed plenty of blood out of my boy's heel, so much so that blood was all over his foot and our car seat after I put him back in it. Low and behold, I get a call from his Pediatrician today saying the test was inconclusive due to "inadequate amount of blood" drawn. Are you kidding me ?! There was so much blood! What is with these people? This test is extremely important to have done at 7-10 days after the first test to test for a preventable disorder that causes retardation. So yes, I'm very upset.

Took my 9 month old in for a simple blood draw last week, it was anything but. The tech said they…read morecan draw via the needle I said she had recently had it drawn via the foot cut method to which there were no complaints and the tech said they like to make it as easy on the patient as they can. I asked the tech if she had done this before on an infant and she said she had so I didn't feel it was necessary to tell a tech how to do her job. In hindsight tech is an overstatement. She squeezed the foot too hard and wasn't capturing the blood fast enough, was clearly frustrated and hurried, at this point she was unable to capture most of the blood and spilled plenty all over the floor, my leg, bc i was holding my baby, and the sani pad. If she were competent with her job all the blood lost would have certainly provided enough sample to test. Next, she insisted that i stand up to hold my baby facing me, which she said was a proven method to draw the blood more efficiently. So as I'm standing there holding the baby and watching her not capture most of the blood dripping on the floor she tells me the blood has coagulated and that I might have to come back, but ASSURED me they would let me know if that were the case by the next business day. Of course she lied, PAC LAB never got back to me so when I follow up with the baby's child care provider the report they received was that the parent refused to have the needle draw and the recommendation was to return. I think witnessing the blood bath that ensued as a result of the PAC LAB techs inability to perform a simple blood draw is enough to prevent me from ever going back there much more so than their failure to follow up and mislead the Dr. So PLEASE if you have to take your child to these jokers ask more questions than I did.

I can't believe how bad the reviews are. The staff are working like crazy as they are constantly…read morebusy. And they have to deal with the most impatient people I have ever witnessed. So thank you so much to the staff, you all are wonderful! I sadly forgot the names of the kind women who worked with me on 2 different occasions. I booked ahead both times and was even able to cancel and reschedule my appointments a couple of times with ease. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews when this is a very popular area, so wait times are to be EXPECTED. I enjoyed coming here much more than a DR's office. I had so much blood drawn and I was pretty anxious about it but both phlebotomists were so kind and friendly that it made for such a wonderful experience. Also, book your stuff ahead. Don't do walk ins. And have some patience!

Two days later, they came back and told my doctor that they couldn't process it because the files were not labeled correctly. That was a lie... They were labeled exactly as directed. A day later they came back and said that they found them, but couldn't process the vials because they didn't have enough specimen in each of the vials. Another lie. The files were filled exactly according to the instructions. Unreliable, unprofessional and untrustworthy.
