If you have been lured by the mythology that every good place is down in Palm Springs and that DHS businesses are second rate, I am here to put a stop in front of your illusions! In the past 3 months, I have been to 3 separate nail salons. The first one I like but they don't do acrylic nails. The second 2 were in downtown Palm Springs and I wasn't impressed by either one. So, wanting to find a place closer to home, I started looking at the various places we have around here. Bella Nails has many positive reviews so I called them up to see if they could fit me in that morning as I had an interview later in the day. Tom answered the phone and told me to come in. I had to wait a bit due to a customer mixup so he put me on the massage chair while I waited. Needless to say, the time passed quickly! As soon as he started on my nails, I could tell that he had many years of experience due to his deftness with the tools. He apologized for the wait and said that he doesn't take walk ins because he wants everyone to be relaxed and serene when they are in the salon. However, the best part is the number of coats that he applied to my nails, keeping them sharp looking for much longer! Thank you Tom! read more

I had my toes done today at Bella's Nails& Spa. They did a great job. It was a gel pedicure. I made an appointment for 10am & was taken care of immediately. There was a good selection of gel colors & I was very happy with the gal who helped me. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I used to recommend this place all the time and I still will if you're just wanting a basic. But I went in there today and I was the only person in there. He gave me a pedicure and his phone kept ringing and he kept answering it which was annoying. Do not come here for any wax's. The wife will not take accountability. I went in with full grown out brows. I told her do not thin them only clean up they're shaped fine. She then proceeded to wax off the top part of my right brow WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN WAXED. I immediately felt the hairs ripped out that shouldn't have been she quickly put makeup on my brows to cover it, but she didn't notice I saw her facial expression. She knew she messed up. I left and called to get my money back because I saw the damage once I was home and washed off the thick layer of eye pencil she drew. My brows are completely messed up. Her husband the owner tells her, she then proceeds to yell and say they were messed up before. I explained to her if there was some issue she should've told me what she was going to do before proceeding to make them completely different and misshaped! He then yelled at me said he wouldn't give the refund. Once I told him he will not be raising his voice at me and I'll be leaving a review about this, he then changed his tone to say "come get your money back" I no longer wanted it at that point. So here I am to leave the review I promised him. Here's to show he's a disrespecting person, they don't take accountability for mess ups shows lack of work and effort to uphold a decent business. I'm giving this place a two star because it didn't smell of chemicals and I left without any type of injury but that's where my pros end. I am SHOCKED and I mean absolutely SHOCKED that this places gets good reviews. Which leads me to believe one of two things: either they are fake reviews OR standards are so low in this area that people actually consider this dump above average. The ONLY reason I picked this place vs going into Palm Springs was because of the reviews and as soon as I saw the place from the parking lot- I should have kept going. It was filthy inside and everything at the manicure station was covered in a film of nail filings. I was not allowed to wash my hands. The man I had was extremely aggressive in clipping my nails and maneuvering my hands around. At one point- he actually slapped my hand down onto the table and then whacked my nails with the gel dryer that he flopped from hand to hand without care. I told him I like square and wanted them a "bit" shorter. He aggressively cut my nails with the clipper and I was waiting for him to cut a chunk of skin. He filed several of my nails (unevenly), missed several of my nails, and then proceeded to argue with me when I mentioned I would like the remaining nails filed. I asked for an express gel manicure- he charged me $35 to remove my polish and reapply. Some of my nails are clipped down to the bone, some are longer and unfiled, and it's been 1 hour and the gel is bubbling and has some type of grit/dirt that was embedded in the polish. If you have any type of self-respect and standards- you can just skip the his place and make the drive to Palm Springs or Palm Desert because you won't find out hat you're looking for here. read more

As a contractor/visitor to this area, I went by the Yelp review. I stopped by before 3 pm, on a non busy WEDNESDAY, since they advertised "walk-ins welcome". There was only ONE person getting nails done and NO one getting a pedicure. The gentleman who said they could not take me said he had an appointment in 5 minutes. Lots of good reviews, I must have walked in on a bad day because I paid 37 for a basic mani pedi, with my own nail polish. The pedi was great but I could have done the mani better on my own. He did the painting in under 5 min, he didn't get the sides well and went I've my cuticles. I'm bummed out. I want to get my money back or have them fix it but I feel bad!! Grrr read more

Horrible, I asked for square the guy made them coffin, asked for natural pink, they did glitter. The man was very aggressive when turning my hands and fingers, he even tossed my phone pencil down because he did not want me to touch it. Charged $55 for my nails because they put a clear gel coat on top, never did I ask for gel, they did as they wanted. Not for what you want. My nails are even bumpy... Won't go back. I absolutely love this place! Everything is new and clean. If you make an appointment and show up on time you never have to wait. They are also good at never over booking. Don't let the outside fool you... the building is way larger than expected. Being a husband and wife team the chemistry is felt throughout the salon. This is a hidden gem in Desert Hot Springs. The place is very clean and modern. They use good product and sterile packaged utensils. If you haven't given Bellagio a try, don't wait! I brought the whole family for multiple services and we all left happy and looking good. The Deluxe pedicure is worth every penny. It included a hot stone massage, scrub, massage and a really nice mud mask followed with hot towels. My daughter is coming back for a set of acrylics later today, I'll update when she's done. Took my teen age daughter to get her nails done for prom. I also wanted nails done too (both full sets) with me getting a pedi too! They were super nice on the phone when I called. We went right over like he suggested. Waited about 10 minutes before getting into pedi chair. They had 2 employees one doing pedis and one doing nails. So they started my daughters nails while I got my pedi and then I took her spot. I love my nails. Pedi was amazing. She did a great job with the cleaning of the skin around the nails. Massage chairs were amazing state of the art first class chairs! We will be back! Not sure why I waited so long to try this place. I'm glad I read the other reviews because the little strip mall that this place is in is kind of a dump but when you go inside it's very nice, it appeared to be really clean and all the chairs and equipment were new and nice. My mom and I both got the regular $20 pedicure which includes a hot stone massage. I thought both the man and woman did a nice job. We had 3pm appointments but we ended up being the only ones there. Pedicure was not good as I felt rushed. Very little attention to detail. The man who works there was rude. He threw my debit card to me after he swiped it. After reading the reviews I decided to make an appointment for a gel manicure and a pedicure. Since I'm a DHS resident, finding local businesses I feel good about patronizing is important to me. As most of the reviews have mentioned, this nail salon is very nice and very clean. The massage chairs are a great touch:). The warm stone pedicure was wonderful. Lam did both my mani / pedi and her attention to detail is awesome. The gentleman (manager I believe) was very courteous and efficient. I went in to get a full set and a pedicure for my bday.. Let me start by saying that I did go there before when I walked in it was such a rude vibe that I walked out I decided to go back because it's close to my home. The vibe seemed a little bit better so I went back in the second time for my birthday the husband did a horrible job on my nails and had an attitude about it but yet you have to pay anywhere from $30-$60 for someone to give you an attitude..
