I went in for a full acrylic set and asked for coffin shape. First of all, the young girl who worked on my nails took 30 minutes just to glue and clip down the nails. Mind you, I'm usually in an out of a nail appointment in any other place in 1 hour or a little less. The process of applying the acrylic also took her more than normal and she left my nails really thick. They also didn't look "coffin". After an hour of being there and just before she was going to start buffing them down( which hurt with this nail tech) another nail tech came by and reshaped my nails to look more coffin like. Although this made them look better, they still don't look the way I wanted them they look and some are crooked looking. I was done after 1 hour and 40 minutes and I left with nail polish and acrylic on my finger tips. Will not be coming here again. read more

Absolutely terrible job done on my "eye brow wax/tint" they are uneven in thickness and the tint was applied VERY messily causing my skin to stain all around and the brows look TERRIBLE. I have never experienced such terrible customer service before!!!! I had to make a yelp account just to let people know about these people. I wish I could give them no stars. I went with my mom to give her a nice little spa day and she was done with her pedicure before they started on my full set. I sat and waited while a bunch of the girls sat around chit chatting. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked if anybody was going to be able to help me anytime soon. I am also 37 weeks pregnant. And was very uncomfortable. The owner lady pointed to the chair next to her station and said "sit." Than when her lady was drying her gel nails came over and filed mine and than left me to sit there for another 10 minutes. Than another lady came over and said "full set"? I said yeah than she filed my nails AGAIN than left and started working on somebody else! I was starting to get really annoyed. Than finally another lady came and sat down and didn't say hi or anything and started putting nails on my hands. And didn't even ask how long I wanted them and started cutting them! I asked her if she was going to ask what I want. And she just looked at me and rolled her eyes and said "shorter?" I said luckily I didn't want them very long huh? She than continued to cut them and than I told her twice that I need the gel they put on thick because I break them easily! She started putting on the gel and it was super thin! I asked her to please put more on and she looked at me with a death glare. I wanted to leave at this point. I wanted to leave a long time ago but I heard they did do good nails. She kept being really rough with positioning my hands and fingers and was just acting like a serious brat. She put the stuff of my nails to go wash and than when I came back she was on her phone and with her nail brush pointed to the lady next to her and the new girl said I will finish. I was honestly dumb founded. I couldn't believe it. When I went to pay I asked if they take cards and the guy asked if I have cash. I said no I have a card and he looked at me and said you don't have cash? I said NOOO I HAVE A CAARRDD. Than snatched my card and put the little machine to put my pin in in my face and than handed me my receipt and didn't even say thank you and walked away. I literally left damn near almost in tears well because I'm extra emotional. But because I literally have never experienced such shitty service before. When I just paid them $50 for their services. Like I said in the beginning I had to make a yelp account just to share my terrible experience. I hope everybody sees this and never goes to them. Luckily my nails look good. Was in town visiting the fam and my dad wanted to go get pedicures cause he likes his feet to not look like gross man feet. Which I appreciate and respect! He knew of this place, as it's near his house and he'd been before. They were pretty busy for a Friday evening so we had to wait a bit, which was no problem, we had trashy magazines to laugh at. A seat opened up and they invited my dad to sit down first, even though he's a dude and his pedicure would be much shorter than mine since he doesn't get polish. (Yet!) Eventually a seat opened up for me and I sat next to pops. He was still soaking and they set me to soak as well. I played with the massage chair and somehow pushed the button that made a fist repeatedly ram into my ass. Didn't like. My dad told me he'd done that before so now he leaves the chair alone. Eventually a lady came over to get to work on Pa and he claimed she was the best one there, because she was rough and worked hard to get the crust off. He was right, I watched her go to town on his feet and then give him a vigorous foot and calf massage. I was jealous when a super dainty lady came and sat in front of me, she looked as though she didn't want to be there and turns out, she didn't! She did a crappy job. She barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet which were terribly gross with old skin build up and she didn't massage my legs, then she painted my toenails horribly. I could do better myself and that's a long reach for me...my toes are far away! I felt bad because it was my dad's "treat" -- he got ripped off! read more

I went here yesterday with my mom, and during the appointment there were some hiccups, but it was the end result that made me write this review... We decided to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and my mom wanted to wax her eyebrows. They asked us to choose a color for our toes. We looked through a few, and then one of the employees tried to make us sit down. I told her that I wasn't done choosing my color yet, but my mom was a little uncomfortable, so she just sat down with whatever she had in her had at the moment. All they had was a lot of "China Glaze" brand nail polish, and not really a good selection of colors, so it was hard to choose something I really liked. I looked for another minute, but the employee was standing next to me and watching me, which felt quite uncomfortable, so I just grabbed something I wasn't sure about as well and sat down. While getting the pedicure, we had other employees starting our manicure. My mom and I tried to explain to the manicurist that we would like the pink tinted gel, instead of the clear gel that is typically used on nails, if they have some. The workers did not understand what we were talking about. I tried to explain it a different way, and she went and grabbed some acrylic nails, and pointed to the one that was pink and sparkly. She clearly didn't understand what I meant. I felt bad because it seemed like she was trying to understand me, but she didn't. "Oh well", I thought. "It won't make that much of a difference I suppose." Then, we asked them NOT to file the old gel off of our nails. The nail salon we went to before this one was really great about letting the gel soak off and making sure that our actual nail remained healthy. Well, that was just not going to happen here. They looked at us as if we were crazy, insisting that they had to file off part of the nail. "Okay", I thought again, but more apprehensively. It's their line of work, not mine. They know what they have to do. We made it very clear, though, that we did not want our REAL nails filed on top... Well of course, after they got the gel off, they filed our nails down. I tried to say something, but the person who was doing my fingers just told me no, it's okay. Well... it wasn't okay with me. I also told her that one of my finger nails was crooked, and she said she would file it later. Well, later came, and she filed it for about two seconds. I tried to tell myself that maybe from her angle it looked straight, so maybe it's okay. Nope. Had to fix it when I got home. After both my nails and my mom's nails were done, my mom went to get her eyebrows waxed. She came out with wax still on her face. She told me that the person who was waxing her told her to stop talking as well, and not in a kind way. I can understand that it would be difficult to wax someone who is talking, but can't you ask them kindly to stop? All of this might have been okay to overlook, except one of my mom's nails was ALREADY damaged. I then looked at mine, and I ALREADY had a chip in mine as well, on the side of the nail. My mom told the worker, and she said that it was my mom's fault! She said my mom must have messed it up. I don't really see the point of arguing something like that with a customer. I didn't even want to bring up the issue on my nail. I figured that since it was the gel part and not the french tip, I could try to put a coat of clear nail polish on top of it when I got home and fix it up... And now, here I am the next day. I just got out of the shower, looked at my thumb, and a big piece of the white part is chipped off. That really is the bottom line. If your GEL manicure cannot last a whole day (literally, it has not been 24 full hours yet) then I do not want to spend my money at your salon. The last nail salon I went to, the manicure lasted 3 weeks, no chips, no cracks, and no unpleasantness. Clearly, not all nail salons are equal. Lastly, pedicure and gel manicure was something like $70 dollars before tip. Not worth that price for sure. read more

I started coming here when they first opened and as I continued to go here, the service just seemed to get worse. I am very disappointed because its so hard to find a decent nail salon that does not cost an arm and a leg. When I first came, the girls did a great job with my pedicure - scrubbing away on my feet. The gel manicures were also really good. However, the last 3 times I went, the quality of work was horrible! I noticed there are some other girls there working because the same ladies that did a great job were not there when I had the bad service. The girl barely scrubbed my feet. When they do the gel, they wouldn't apply the gel close to my cuticle so when it grew out in less than a week, my nails looked horrible! On top of that, the last girl that did my manicure was cutting through cuticle, she tore of a piece of the cuticle and made me bleed. I am never going back. read more

This place is beyond Eek! Which is SUCH a shame because it has so much potential. My girlfriend suggested this place as she has been before, and had a decent experience. She did say the one down fall was that she had an appointment and they made her wait. Well unfortunately things for us were the same. We had 1:00 appointments and they did not see us until 1:38, and that was AFTER she had to ask 3 times if someone was going to help us. I was in the process of calling Imola Nails, and they finally came and put the tools down in front of us. The actual service wasn't so bad. I was pleased with my pedicure, and she was pleased with the outcome of her pedicure and manicure, BUT the service that we received was NOT worth the quality of results we received. When we went to pay, I handed her my debit card, and the person helping me asked if I had cash. I asked if she didn't take cards, and she said they do, but she preferred cash. I said, no I don't, and handed her my card. She LOOKED in my wallet and then said, "Can you write that check?" I almost felt violated that she was looking so closely IN my wallet. (My checks were not that easily visible). I went to write the check, and she told me to not fill out the name. I asked her why and she said she wanted to stamp it. I wanted to make sure she didn't write cash on it, so I watched her do it. In short: PROS: * Pretty ambiance * A fair selection of nail colors * Comfy massage chairs CONS: * Rude service * They do not schedule people in a timely manner and will put walk-ins on top of appointments * Pushy when it comes to payment method * Although the comfy massage chairs look comfy ... don't be alarmed if they don't work If you have ample time to kill, with nothing on your schedule ... go in with headphones so you can't hear how they speak to you. Oh and hide your check book and cash if you want to pay with a debit card, because if it's on you they will find it and bully you to pay via their "preferred method." Triple EEK! read more

I'm used to more affordable prices coming from San Francisco - slightly floored when i was told to cough over $35 for a mani/pedi, but I hear thats the going rate in Napa...also, two people end up doing the mani pedi combo, so now you have not be stingy with the tips and fork over at least $5 each so you're talking close to $50 for a simple hour of nail pampering! With that said, I think thy have a relaxing environment and dont skimp on the massages that come with the manipedi. I have felt awkward about saying no thanks to an upgrade in services...only because was asked maybe 4 times while I was trying to relax. The shop is clean and the ladies who work there are nice and friendly. The pedi chairs are lovely and relaxing massage chairs. I'll go again but not as often as I'd like to based on price. read more

If you're into "S&M" for feet and hands, go here! They were so rushed to get MORE customers that they overbook and underserve. I waited about 25 minutes with foil and chemicals on my fingers and feet in a tub before they even started their service for me. The pedi and shellac service was rough, painful and fast. Pedi: pinkie toe just had a nail and skin separate a little...hoping it doesn't become ingrown. After she buffed my heels, she left for a few minutes and I watched her eat in the back room. Shellac: uneven and thick (imagine speed bumps on most nails). AND didn't even paint to the edges so it'll grow out and look like crap even faster!!!!!!! She dug under my nails and it felt like that "bamboo torture under the nails" that some countries use. Maybe that was her inspiration? I told her it hurt and she said, "Your nails are dirty; I have to." My thumb was sore the whole evening. Then, they were angry that I didn't have cash (have an ATM in the SALON..hello tacky) and she watched as I wrote the check..hello awkward. Then was visibly angry when I left a $2 tip...and I NEVER do that! I'd rather rats chew off my nails and dead skin and go to a hardware store and spray paint my fingers than come here again. Clean instruments? Sure, if you call spraying them with alcohol effective. read more

Being new to Napa, I came to Bella based on the reviews on Yelp. I was looking for a basic pedicure and gel manicure. I stopped in without an appointment, and they were kind of busy so the lady suggested I come back. No problem, I went to take care of other things, called back later and asked if they could accommodate a mani-pedi in about 30 minutes. They said yes, of course. When I got there, they set me up in a chair but I still sat there for about 15 minutes before someone came to start my pedicure. But, she was very nice when she came, so that helped to ease my slight frustration! All of that to say, I am picky about my nails - so if they do a good job but sometimes I have to wait - that's ok with me! Overall, the place has a great, relaxing feel and the staff is very nice. I have to say I will probably shop around a couple of other places in Napa before I settle on "my place". The true tell will be how long my gel mani lasts. We will see! read more

My shellac manicure lasted 5 days. My pedicure resulted in a major infection and I lost my toe nail. $70.00 and an ER trip later.

I went during their grand opening special. My appointment was for 3pm on a Friday and was told to do the usual, pick a color and sit in the pedi chair. I was sitting in my water for 35 minutes before my lady came to start on me. They don't have a full staff and even though all of them are pretty quick, it feels like they had over booked. At least while I was there they did turn down people who walked in after 4pm. They have OPI, OPI gel, Gelish, China Glaze, and a few other obscure nail polishes. I chose China glaze for both my mani and pedi. Nancy, I think, did my services and was very nice. She did a great job of cutting my nails the right length, cleaning, filing and painting. My mani lasted 4 days without chipping but I also massage and do office work so that is a long time for me. My pedi lasted about 3 weeks before I had to take it off. The only problem I had was that I saw the ladies toss the nail clippings on the floor and no one cleaned it the entire time I was there, which was about and hour and a half. Also, they filled the foot baths with water and soap before refilling them for the next person but there wasn't a good scrubbing along with that. So, hopefully they will hire more nail techs and everyone will have the time to properly clean things. read more

The guy who did my nails was pretty friendly we didn't chat while he was doing my nails except to ask about them but that's fine by me. I would rather let him do his job and have nails done a little faster. Speaking of fast he put on my acrylics with lightening speed I was very impressed with how natural they looked when he was done. I told him that I wanted a pointy shape that wasn't too long and he cut and filed them perfectly! With the grand opening special my nails were only $15 plus tip and worth every penny. I've had no problems with lifting even after accidentally smacking or jamming my nails into stuff. I will absolutely be back when I need a fill and for future manicures. read more

Came here with my grandma and mom a few weeks ago and our entire experience wasn't good. As soon as we walked in multiple employees weren't wearing masks and greeted us without masks. Then we got pedicures and mine took a whole 10 minutes total and my grandmas and moms took around 15 minutes. Probably got a 1 minute leg/foot massage total and the service was very rushed. I thought maybe since we came in the afternoon they wanted to get out of there quickly but as soon as they were done with our services two of employees rushed outside and just went back to sitting out there on their phones. I came here on a Sunday right when they opened. My usual place is closed on Sundays so I thought let me give this place a try. I asked for a pedicure and a gel fill. My pedicure was fine took about 10 min which my place they do a really good job of really getting in and cleaning and take a good 25-30 min on a pedicure. Anyway onto my fill I sit down and she starts I can tell she's not very experience because it took about 10 min to file the nail polish off my nails. Halfway through she asks what I think I'm like they are pretty thick and bumpy and she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't usually do nails just pedicures!!!! Great...... I don't want to be rude but by the time she was done I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I spent 60 dollars plus a tip and my nails are horrible. I had to go home and file them so they where even straight and 4 days in and my nail polish has already chipped. I would not recommend this place to any one. Not even an enemy. read more

Nice establishment, great looking place. It's very clean which is a big deal when your talking about nail salons. This place has a calming effect on me every time I come in. They do a good job with my nails and feet. I always get acrylic & I recommend paying the extra $10 for the ultra pedicure. Even though the salon is worth going to each month I haven't found a specific person I go to each time- still looking for the perfect person. Not only were there plenty of positive reviews, but prices and full staff made it an easy choice to choose Bella Nails. I went for a pink & white fill, but stayed for a pedicure to top of the day. I loved the detailed to work provided, clean shop, friendly staff (Cathy the owner was who was one of the ladies who provided care, kind as they come), and the pedicure chairs are the best in town. My wife went here a few days ago. She asked for a full set. My wife received terrible service from the man that was doing the full set with the electric nail file. My wife said that the man was very unprofessional and left her in pain after she finished getting this manicure.
