The two young girls I had were efficient. But almost too quick, they weren't very thorough and seemed to work in a hurry for fear of the manager. There was an unnecessary rush to move me out of the spa chair the minute she put the top coat on. Even though there were seven open spa seats she made me get up because "the manager gets mad". The older lady walking around (with too much make up on) seemed superficial to customers and mean to staff. The place is clean and overall they did a decent job. I came into this nail salon wanting to use the ATM. They said NO ATM, CuStomers ONLY. I was in a hurry so I agreed to buy the bracelet in the case in front of me. The women to my right literally said "That's a lot of money, $80! I said that's fine. I didn't reply and just walked back into the business thinking they'd apologize and do my toes. People... THEY ACTUALLY CALLED ME A LIAR and started yelling at me over and over again yelling at me IN FRONT OF cUSTOMERS. So I yelled back " Is this how you treat all first time customers!? Went in last night with a friend to get an acrylic overlay and shellac and was VERY HAPPY with the results. First things first: the ambiance is so relaxing. I love a dim dark nail salon with big comfy chairs that you can just sink into and relax after a hard day at work. Second: everyone there is so nice and inviting and really do make you feel welcome and taken care of. You always get a cold bottle of water and if you get a basic mani or pedi you get to keep the buffer and file that they used on you. +++for cleanliness. Everything is super clean here! Third: Mima did my nails. I moved up here from Huntington Beach last March and was going to my regular nail lady foreverrrrr. She knew exactly how I wanted my nails and all I had to do was sit down and relax. So coming to a new town and having to start all over has been trying. I tried another nail salon down the street and although it may be beautiful in there, you just don't feel that warm cozy feeling when you really want to relax. So diamond nails has been a real gem in Napa. Mima listened to how I want my nails (I am very picky because my nails curl inward the longer they grow) and took it from there. My friend and I were chit chatting the whole time and both our nail techs were very involved and keeping up with us. It was a very enjoyable experience. This place has nice employees but a rude manager, Lisa. My sister and I have it a try and weren't as satisfied with the nail service, being that they fell off very soon and from the start they where very thick and uneven, lumpy and the shape was not what I was expecting. They made the acrylic nail very high up and I was able to see my nail near the cutical area. We decided to give a second try and we walked in and Lisa rudely said that we couldn't stay that we had to leave because they were closing soon, keep in mind it was barely 3pm. Okay sure. I have such mixed feelings about this place. It looks really fancy and nice inside, which I enjoyed, but the nail technicians have messed up on me twice now and I'm over it. The first time, a lady filing my nails accidentally filed the skin, even after I told her it was hurting. I started bleeding and she finally became careful! Today I had a similarly rough filing and then the lady didn't seem to understand the difference between round and oval, so my nail shapes are not what I hoped for. She did make changes when I asked, but by that time she didn't have enough nail to work with. She didn't use any cuticle oil and some of the nails already look slightly grown out because she left too much space between the nail color and the cuticle. To top it all off, I either have an allergic reaction or an infection because my thumb is red, itchy and slightly swollen. Never again! read more

I love this nail salon because it's a very nice and basic nail salon, and the ladies in there are very nice. They always do a great job on my nails (usually always shellac/gel) and regular polish pedicured toes. I do wish they would "dig" a little bit more on my ingrown toenails (I'm prone to them Bc of my wide big toes lol), but they do just enough to keep my ingrown toenails at bay. If you decide to give this place a try, CALL THEM FIRST FOR AN APPOINTMENT. Some days they're slow and they'll say come in right now, some days they're slammed and your appointment has to be an hour or two from when you've called. But I just had an annoying experience tonight where about 20 people all came in wanting to be seen without an appointment 30 minutes before closing. Come on guys I like to consider this a hidden "gem" (diamond) of Napa. I enjoy this salon and the atmosphere and the quality they produce! read more

I was very disappointed with my full set of acrylic nails. The initial placement of the nail extension felt weak and cheap. It was a clear tip I've never had placed elsewhere, especially considering my short natural nails. the nail tech used only one coat of natural looking color.. So basically they were clear and they only lasted two days before two nails had cracks going across the entire tip. they have now officially broke off (Day 3) The staff is so sweet and caring but the value of the work is very poor. I'm in such disappointment. I went on Friday to get a gel manicure and when I got my 3rd coat, the younger lady who did my nails only kept my hand under the light for 15 seconds. After I told her no I need to keep it in longer, she yelled at me and said YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO WHAT I TELL YOU. I AM THE PROFESSIONAL. Well, no. I told her I was paying her so she needed to be accommodating. Turns out, the next day I pay close attention to my nails and there are black holes, you can feel the nail file dust under the clear coat and 3 of my nails chipped at 2 days!!!! BEWARE!! I'm not a sensitive person and I left in tears. A man named Tony started my nail fill at 6:10PM and was very friendly at first but, at 6:45 his demeanor completely went south and he became very irritated and outright mean. He kept saying they "closed at 7!" and he needed to "hurry up!". I was shocked, uncomfortable and helpless-as he was still sanding out my nails! He was so aggressive with the sanding and filing that I ended up with cuts on three fingers and my nails look terrible. Some nails look like bubbles and others are so thin they could break. The paint job is so bad it looks like I have three different shades of pink. At 6:57, he was still painting, and he said "we close at 7:00, it's after 7:00!" so I picked up my phone, showed him that it was 6:57 and told him that he was being rude. So I went in and asked for gel manicure and a normal manicure for my daughter. There was a lady who was SUPER rude that said we do not guarantee polish and to get her gel because it lasts 2 weeks. So I said ok just because I needed the polish to last for the next day for an event and didn't want any issues! The lady who did my nails basically complained that I liked my nails short and was rude about it...umm not sure why that is a crime but whatever!! So the next day my daughters nails started lifting!!! By the third day they got so bad that we had to peel them off! So I called on the fourth day and complained and said I just want my money back! The guy on the phone was rude and said to come down to fix it, however, we have no time to fit in a manicure in the next few weeks! He said that he did not force us to get the gel but that they didn't guarantee the polish and so I asked so do you not guarantee the gel? Then he said some people react differently to the gel, ok true but why would I come all the way down there to have this happen again if the gel doesn't go with her body temperature??? Great that he offered that, but it does not work in this situation for us!! Then he said if you have time to come for a refund you have time for a manicure...umm not really! We have literally 5 min to stop by before we have to be some where!! Plus we do not live in the town of Napa! So I told them to F off and hung up since I was so over the customer service..the day of service and the phone call!! He then goes on the call me 3 times, and I ignore the phone calls! He then leaves a message that he reported my phone number to Napa PD for harassment!!!! Umm I was calling to complain their product did not last not even 2 days and that was Unacceptable!!! Please don't waste your money and time at this salon, as I left this salon very upset when the owner Lisa had an argument with me in front of her customers. Lisa messed up on my nails, but I still paid + tipped her. Since they messed up, they should apologize and guarantee their work, so I asked her to redo my nails free of charge since my nails came out incredibly thick and lumpy and a paid and tipped for the last set. After reading great reviews on this place I thought I'd try it out with one of my friends. I must say I was disappointed. However I must say some positive things about this place. When we first walked in we were greeted by a gentleman who asked us what we needed. After being seated we were given water bottles to enjoy. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. However, the pros do not outweigh the cons. I had decided to get a full set and a pedicure. My pedicure was actually nice, but my full set was awful. As I was getting my set, the lady doing my nails kept drilling too hard and I had to pull my hand away for than once. She drilled up to my cuticles and made me bleed a little. As I kept pulling my hand back she kept saying "oh your cuticles are very sensitive and dry" I've had my nails done many other times, and no one had ever said that. I went to wash my hands so she could put the nail polish on. She started applying the nail polish and I noticed they looked a little bumpy. Being that it was my first time getting gel polish i thought maybe there was more she was going to do. While waiting for one hand to dry she filed the other hand, this made little flakes fall onto the other nails. She kept applying polish on, and I could clearly see little particles on the nails. Her polish job was sloppy but she said she would clean it up. Even after she "cleaned up" my fingers and cuticles it still looked sloppy. I'm so embarrassed to even post a picture but I think it is needed. read more
