We are a bit unconventional: I didn't want a white dress and my daughter didn't want a dress at all, so we had some issues at other places. Particularly for my daughter, who seemed to scare the heck out of any guy working at a tux shop when he realized he'd have to measure her. Thank goodness we found LBD where they fitted her for a tux that she loved with no problems. I ended up with a bridesmaid dress since I didn't want white, but they recommended a seamstress who helped me embellish it into just what I wanted. The missing star is for my bridesmaid's experience. When she tried the sample on in the store, it fit like a dream, it was just the wrong color. It would seem when they put the order in, they ordered the wrong size completely (an 8 instead of a 6) and since it took 3 months to get there, we had to have it severely altered just to fit, which was sad for my friend because she had planned to alter it into something she would wear again and again, but all her alteration budget went to making it fit instead. She did reach out to the owner to try and get them to make it right in some way. Unfortunately, they took no responsibility for the mistake, and dismissively gave her $50 for alterations. Alterations which ended up costing $110 after it finally fit. So I guess it just depends. I had a great time with this business, my best friend not so much.

She wasn't apologetic at all and made it sound like it was my fault for not calling to confirm? Like that is why I came in person and filled out all that paperwork? To confirm? I called CK and they were able to see me that same day. I am very thankful they were able to squeeze me in on such short notice. I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders among all the chaos of wedding planning. My dress had three different fabrics that needed to be hemmed, the main fabric being tulle and lots of it. They also added several bustles, both French and traditional, to keep my dress up during the reception. You have the option of a clear button or jeweled. Because of the design of my dress, they recommended the clear. I picked up my dress the day before the wedding and it was absolutely perfect! CK is very professional, knowledgable, and timely. When I went to go pick up my dress the week of the wedding, the cups had been moved even higher and had padding in them. I had to take those out myself and put the dress back together. The day of the wedding the zipper didn't even want to zip plus during my photos before my ceremony. The center of the zipper broke and I had to hold my dress together with safety pins.
