Friendly hosts greeted us and find us a seat on a late Sunday afternoon. Nice day gave us the option of courtyard seating or indoor cottage seating. Pleasant service team, great food and a wonderful cottage atmosphere makes this place a great place to stop for brunch. Korean BBQ Short Rib sandwich is a newer menu item. Flavorful, lots of rib meat filling and bread grilled nice and crunchy. It's delicious. Berry Almond French Toast is very good. If you have a sweet tooth for brunch, then do not miss this dish. Steak & cheese melt is a staple on this menu. Filled with nicely seasoned steak, grilled onions and a blend of cheese makes this dish a hearty brunch meal. From the host to the service team, everyone is very efficient and friendly. Pro Tip: use the Yelp waitlist feature on busy days.

Very calm and chill place to hang out. I ordered a Toffee Nut Coffee and the Uncle Johnny Hot Savory Panini. The sandwich was good, it wasn't cut all the way through but good flavor. It had a lot of onions and peppers but not bad. I would like to come back and try their Crepes but would come back again.

I ordered a vegetarian crepe, and my friend got an Oreo crepe. Both were decent, but honestly pretty underwhelming. The flavors were fine, just not memorable, and definitely not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I also tried a vanilla chai latte, which was the same story--good, but nothing special. The biggest downside for me was the value. I ended up spending around $17, and it just didn't feel worth it. Between the portion size and the overall taste, it felt like something I could've easily made at home for a fraction of the price. Service was okay. The woman working there had a more straightforward, no-frills personality--not particularly warm or welcoming, but not rude either. Just very to-the-point. The space itself is also pretty small, with limited seating. It's probably best suited for quick stops or takeout rather than sitting and hanging out for a while. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't give me a strong reason to come back. If you're nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once--but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

From the initial contact with the owner, Bassam Medawar, the setup of the private dining room, the excellent service provided by Chris and the rest of the waitstaff, to the delicious food, it was a resounding success. I highly recommend the Bourbon & Fig for casual dining, as well as any special events like birthdays, rehearsal dinners, and holidays. You will not be disappointed.

They started us off with baskets of biscuits and two different butters- it could really have used a jam, because they were like a fancier KFC biscuit, so they were fluffy and delicious, but void of moisture. There was no offer of a jam, unfortunately. I ordered the croque madame, which is a sandwich with prosciutto, gruyere, bechamel, and fig mostarada on brioche, served with a salad. Due to medication interference i cannot have vitamin K whenever I want, so i got breakfast potatoes with it. The potatoes were out of this world fantastic! The sandwich, I subbed bacon for the prosciutto, and it was delightful! A bit salty, but made upon the ingredients, it was expected. I always thought a croque madame came with an egg on it, but theirs did not. The shrimp and grits were ordered by several people and the consensus was that there were not enough grits in the dish, making it a smaller portion than one would think. There was also some confusion bc one person asked for no tails on their shrimp What he meant was no shell, as some places give you shrimp that still have the tail portion of the shell attached and now you have to dig them out one by one and pull the shell off. They were able to grant his request and he was very happy about that! The French toast was ordered by two people and they enjoyed it, especially the orange Chantilly cream that came on the side. Two other people got the Southern Breakfast and said the spinach was phenomenal! The chicken was a little different than expected but everyone enjoyed their meal! Our server Chris was nice and professional but still personable. All around it was a great experience, although it was a tiny bit quieter than I would have liked, just because it makes a lull in conversation more awkward. Either way, five stars!

He gave us the history of the restaurant, it used to be at the watergate hotel and former president Reagan was a huge fan of the restaurant. Right after he got shot his wife had a surprise birthday party here. The original chef passed away and they lost their lease so this is the location now. Just some fyi for all you history buffs. The food was fantastic yet again. For the hors d'Œuvres we got the Merguez which was lamb sausage with ratatouille. It was very good. We also got a Brie and prosciutto platter with pickles and spiced pears in a red wine sauce. It was interesting for sure. The Brie was St Stephen's from Stephentown NY. I love Brie and this was a good one. Very interesting flavors. I got the seafood special this time. It was scallops, risotto, asparagus, and a shrimp crab cake. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp crab cake it was dry but everything else paired well. My husband got the filet mignon. The side was these stuffed potatoes and asparagus. The stuffed potatoes were stuffed with a creamy filling almost like crab Rangoon but better. So yum. The waiter found out it was our anniversary and he went all out. He also gave me half a dozen roses and proposed to me in front of my husband . Yall just go here, and ask for Dennis to be your waiter. He's the best.
