Drove an hour to get to this location because it's the closest one to me. Went with my girlfriend and we both tried the new gyros, got the Greek, which is the lamb meat and the chicken one. Also tried the cucumber salad with the tzatziki sauce. The food was subpar. Mine had 90% lettuce, 5% tomato, and 5% meat. My girlfriends had wilted lettuce and unflavored chicken. Both tzatziki sauces didn't taste like anything just watered down. The cucumber salad was the most embarrassing thing I have ever eaten. They had cucumbers and pickles in water. I really enjoy that you can mobile order here. They are quick work getting the orders ready for lunch time. I love the chicken Caesar wrap it's really good. More like 3.75. My food was great and consistent, the service was a tad bit slow but we are in a pandemic so I will chalk it up to that. Everyone working was very polite and I don't have any complaints. Jimmy Johns are always clean including the bathrooms. Outside of Penn Station, Jimmy Johns is my place but yes I like subway also! Lakeridge has tons of eating out options and this spot is located in the same shopping center as Subway..... of course, and Chick Fil A..... lots of competition. A decent sandwich with a heavy side of complacent attitude. The staff is not helpful or welcoming. From the ordering process to the asking for a napkin, which are BEHIND the counter in the "employee" area , you are made to feel like a nuisance. The dining area is decorated with plaques meant to be inspirations espousing a strong work ethic, self reliance and mental fortitude. All commendable traits, however the staff has taken those ideals to the next level where customer service is considered a weakness that needs to be stamped out. A simple hello or just pleasant demeanor while taking a PAYING CUSTOMERS order, letting the PAYING CUSTOMER know their order is ready in a friendly manner, handing the PAYING CUSTOMER a napkin upon request or at least showing them where they are BEHIND THE COUNTER in nice way, and saying thank you or good bye to the PAYING CUSTOMER are not signs of weakness. Awful!!! I placed an order for 4 sandwiches & went into detail w/what I wanted on each one. I get home and find they gave me only 3 sandwiches! Why?! My biggest issue that will keep me from going back is the fact the bread is cold. I smell bread when I go in there. Why would you give me a sub on cold French bread? I placed an order for pick up with their online ordering system. When I arrived, my 2 year old was asleep in his carseat, and everyone knows what a pain it is to wake up your child (hello, tantrum!). Instead of risking WWIII by waking my son, I called the shop and asked if they would be willing to meet me at the curb with my order. They said that was no problem and asked me what my vehicle looked like. When I arrived at the shop, they quickly brought out my food. When I got home, my order was perfect and everything tasted great! The only thing I wish they would do is extend their delivery area, but I realize that's a corporate issue. read more

Always a good sandwich for a good price, but sometimes in the past the service had been lacking (sadly typical in many Northern Virginia food establishments). I'll give this place an extra star because their delivery service is decent. In terms of pick up, I agree the staff makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them when you come in, and they definitely aren't "freaky fast" or even fast for that matter. I want to like the subs, but everytime I "customize" the toppings on my sub, I get the standard toppings, and none of my customizations are taken into account. My biggest pet peeve is that the sandwiches fall apart when you try to eat them, so I always select cut in half. I have yet to receive a sub cut in half. They seriously lather on mayo to where you just feel gross after eating a few bites. Again, if you select the "light" option for mayo it is never made that way. I tried the Italian sub for the first time today, and I spit it out and it went in the trash. It was caked in mayo, and the peppers were so overwhelmingly spicy I just tossed the sandwich. I can handle heat too. I am super nauseous just from one bite of that mayo drenched sub, and feel super gross. Also, there are not a lot of options, and they don't toast subs. Didn't know if the place was open for business or closed at 8p on a Friday night. Once we established that they were opened, I ordered a sandwich (roast beef and cheese with salt and pepper). People screaming suggestions from extra meat to the slim. I just kept saying roast beef and cheese with salt and pepper. Then, the guy working the register said they didn't have salt and pepper but some oregano mix. I edited my order to "just roast beef and cheese". Sandwich appeared within seconds. I added chips and a large soda to the order and everything came to almost 10 bucks. Filled my cup with Coke and proceeded to unwrap the sandwich, lo and behold.......sandwich came with everything. Grumbled that I had to deconstruct the thing. One of the many black shirts (a army of them, actually) were working and doing busy work. One young man asked me how everything was, I proceeded to tell him that the sandwich must have come out of a cooler pre-made. He and I discussed the meaning of pre-made, pre-select, and just eat the damn sandwich and stop complaining. If you charge more than a couple of bucks for a pre-made (aka pre-select) product, then you are sorely in for a let down at Jimmy John's. Suggestions if you do wander in: 1. Avoid eye contact 2.
