Went to this restaurant last Saturday Celebrating our anniversary Heard good things Arrived early- told the owner- greeter I would wait in bar until my party arrived. He informed me- staff called out sick = bar closed. Would just seat me at my table. Sat there 20 minutes before waitress said hello. Thermometer on wall said 63 degrees. Everyone in room had jackets on. Asked her to turn heat up, she did, 15 minutes later , owner came by- turned it down =WtH. Ordered a wine- out Father ordered ribs- out Father ordered an ipa Beer - out Prime rib out Finally father ordered a short rib Received one on a pile of mash potatoes- pure fat Service was nonexistent Would definitely not waste my money on this place!!!! read more

If you're looking for a throwback to the 70's this is it. First, halfway thru our party of four ordering in which 2 ordered the prime rib special- which was on the regular menu & four of the nights specials- we were told we could not order it because they were "holding it" in case any of the people in a party of 30 due later in the evening wanted to order it. What??? That was a first. Steaks ordered instead were from ok to grizzly. Chicken dish had a really strong sherry taste. Wine subpar- which in the Finger Lakes it should not be. Classic blue collar steakhouse vibe and menu. They have all the classics you'd expect. Recently they got a new head chef, insider info says a menu change is coming sometime next month. Not a horrible selection, but I wish they'd get rid of the salad bar. Post Covid, do people still want to eat communally with strangers? Some Composed salads for the leaf eaters and waist watchers would be so much better, and probably bring prices down for everything else. Can I get a hell yeah?! read more

Bella Seneca Lake Steakhouse An unfortunate step back in time with tacky decor and music. We thought this would be a fine dining experience based on the selection and pricing on their website. We let the waitress know it was our 40th anniversary and thought perhaps they would offer a complimentary dessert (they didn't). The salad bar (which I thought went away with COVID) was dismal and sparse. I ordered the flank steak medium and it was served well done and way over salted. My husband had surf and turf. His steak was cooked correctly but had absolutely so seasoning. His lobster came with an orange instead of a lemon. The waitress came by 15 minutes later and we expressed our disappointment. She offered another steak but it was too late by then. Nothing taken off our bill at the end and again not even a free dessert. read more

Went for Father's Day's buffet that was advertised. Not pleasantly surprised what the menu had to offer for the price paid plus we were not aware of the automatic gratuity when receiving the check at checkout. The gratuity is usually on the check for large parties setting at a table. Their regular salad bar was not offered. A potato bar that was offered had potatoes bigger than one could eat with sides such as Mac&cheese,coleslaw pulled pork, beef tips in a white sauce and sausage and peppers. Food combinations I thought were odd. Oh I forgot to mention that tray of bread stuffing. The dessert was maybe the best part of the meal. The presentation of the food offered was not done well. Had been to the old Bella's Pasta house a few times and was always good. That one closed so we decided to try the Steakhouse for my son's birthday. Multiple online sites were contradictory so we called about menu items and birthday offer. The young lady on the phone gave us another iteration then at the restaurant got yet another version of both. My Chicken Parm was the worst I've ever had. Chicken was rubbery and sauce was thick and dry. What a disappointment. Guess we won't drive 45 minutes for that again .. read more

Server was amazing. Owner went around asking people if they had a birthday. Got the salad bar, which cant go wrong with that, and swordfish which was pretty bad. Very dry with bbq shrimp. Flavors didnt go together. Resteraunt is a hole in the wall. They badly need a revamp and to ditch their menu and chef and start over. I got the worst fish fry I ever had in my life last night. I wasn't up to eating steak so I went with a fish fry which was horrible, A small piece on top of a larger piece was the only edible piece. The whole fish was dry and soaked with a mushy flour inside. The service was fantastic, salad bar was wonderful. I didn't complain but I just know that I would never recommend this place. After driving fifty miles for the worst fish of my life.No, I don't think I would try your steak after that meal. Then I used the bathroom, my knees were to my chest. I looked up at the ceiling. Looked like it was about to fall. In some places out in the dining room were the same way, and they're horrible carpeting all the way through the place. No, the aviance was not there for the prices that they're charging. I think you need some Badly needed upgrades in that place yuk! read more

Service was terrible and food wasn't much better. two of my friends ordered chicken parmesan. Chicken looked like something cooked the day before and pasta came with saucemixed in but looked like it wash something out ofv the refrigerator they asked for extra sauce and aftewrsome time waiter came backi and said they were out of sauce they would have to make some more. Another friend ordered chicken cordon bleu. That was a peice of chicken breaded and cooked , with a thin slice of ham laid on top with a slice of cheese over that and warmed up to melt the cheese. Another friend asked for a spoon to eat her pasta and never received it, and never ate her meal. Then when the waiter brought our separate check he added a 20% tip to each check. We will never go there again. Also the have a bar with no bartender to serve guests, then the waiter came out and made our drinks and rush to immediately seat us. Our reservations we for 5:30 and this was 5:20 we were waiting for anothewr friend who was coming. Also never received our meals until after 6:30. The place was not that busy. The place smells of mildew when you come in and has alot of air fresherner to try to cover the smell. rating is ----minus. read more

Celebrated my birthday with a trip to Bella's Steakhouse and loved the entire experience. It was a VERY busy Friday night with a bunch of groups in addition to individual tables. The wait staff was attentive and friendly in spite of this. When our waitress was delayed by attending to other diners she made sure to speak to us as she passed the table, assuring us she's be right back. I had the Delmonico and it was huge, flavorful and cooked exactly as a medium rare steak should be. My daughter had the smallest prime rib cut they offer and it was almost the same size as the serving platter. Huge and cooked to perfection. It's such a treat to see the salad bar back, like the old Emile's offered. The sides are unique and delicious. The baked potato side is enough for a whole meal in itself. They offer a side dish of pepper jack corn bread casserole - it is delicious! What really impressed me was their kids options, which includes a FREE meal. And while they were the basic things expected on a kids menu (pizza, macaroni, chicken strips, etc - all include a side and drink) the one my granddaughter ordered was generous and served well. I'm kind of mystified by the poor reviews for service. Everyone surrounding us appeared to be having a great time. The owner comes around and visits with the tables and celebrates the special occasions with the diners. I'll be back over and over again! read more

Don't waste your time or your money. We went Friday for an early dinner. Three staff for the ENTIRE bar/dinning rooms, who were so overwhelmed they failed at every task. Even patrons with reservations waited a long time to 1) be seated and 2) get any attention whatsoever. If you like the ambiance of an 80s wedding venue, are happy with a complete lack of service, and don't mind watching loud servers race around chickens with their heads cut off, then this is the place for you. read more

The food was great, the service was even better. Prices are high, but mostly worth it. We'll definitely be back.

The food was over priced and mediocre. The service was slow and we had their first seating. They had trouble finding the reservations on their computer. They advertised that if you were celebrating a birthday that the dinner was free. When bill arrived they charged for the dinner, even though they were aware that there was someone celebrating the birthday. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for the wait. Unfortunately we will not be returning. read more

By far the worst steakhouse. Prime rib was so tough. Both dinners were cold. When we sent them back they still came out cold. No steak knives which you need for the cuts of beef. I give 2 stars because service was terrific. read more

This used to be the old Emiel's. Unbelievably, they kept the old early 70s decor including the dated and impractical ancient wall to wall carpeting, paneling and salad bar. The wait staff looked confused and no one seemed to be watching the bar as you walked in. Took quite a long time to take the drink order even though the place was not too busy. The steak was cooked as requested however it has a lot of fat and gristle. If you like the Ponderosa restaurant chain, then this is the place for you. read more

First the good. The rib-eye steak was cook to my liking rare and very tender. My wife´s tenderloin was also cooked to how she ordered. Now the not so good. Water served room temp no ice. Salad bar underwhelming. No bread at the table. I chose the Craig´s Camp Beans as my entree side dish described as baked beans fixed up with onions, peppers, hot Italian sausage and southwest seasoning. No onions no peppers 3 very small pieces of sausage and very loose almost runny. Very disappointing. Service was ok not bad not great just ok. Went there last night. The special was a strip steak for $19.99. My two companions ordered the special. I wanted an 8 ounce filet but they don't serve them (?). Instead, they offer two four ounce filets which, if you have ever tried them anywhere, just don't cut it. Anyway, since I found nothing else on the menu appetizing, I just ordered the special, medium, with a baked potato. The salad bar was well stocked so I got my salad, went to the dressings station and found out that they do not offer any blue cheese dressing (?). there were rolls but they were ice cold. When our orders came out, I was presented with the largest baked potato I have ever seen in a restaurant. I love baked potatoes but it was so big I could only eat half. The steak was long thin, grizzly and almost well done because it was so thin. The waitress and the salad bar were the best things about the dinner. If asked by the owner, I would tell him to spend less money on huge potatoes, etc. and more money on buying quality cuts of meat (and some blue cheese dressing!). read more

It was average. For an Italian restaurant, I ordered pasta Alfredo and was then asked if I wanted penne or linguine as my noodle, isnt it most always FETTUCCINE?? ... didnt know there was a choice. Salad bar was decent, but no blue cheese dressing. That's a definite staple at a salad bar. No bread at all was given before dinner. It was prime rib night and they ran out of baked potatoes. Service was slow. Asked for cheese bread with salad. Never came until we were done. Husband ordered a well done ribeye. It came out some rare and the rest medium rare. I ordered the seafood platter - they brought me a steak. I said that is not what I ordered and just got an "oh". She left and brought back my dinner after my husband was done. The food was very good I had the prime rib and my girlfriend had the scallops they were both very delicious. The wait staff was fantastic the meal was fantastic. The place was clean and the salad bar was ok. Our bill came to 95& with dessert which we had to take most of it home the piece of cake was huge I got the chocolate cheesecake with strawberries but didn't have room left to finish it so I'll have it with coffee for breakfast. We will definitely be going back to this place. We both felt very comfortable there. This isn't a Fine dining restaurant but it has good reasonably priced food with staff that seem to care. read more
