I never write reviews but I feel like I needed to this time. I want to let people know that if your booking ahead of time and end up canceling an appointment they will charge you no matter what. So be ready to pay at least half. On top of that, they don't make it easy to reschedule or cancel ahead of time on their website nor does their phone number work on their website. This place is such a disappointment compared to other salons I've been to. They care more about the money than about people. read more

I was trying out a new stylist. Booked with Kelly My very 1st appointment she was 45 minutes to an hour behind I thought okay things happen, I will give her another chance. My 2nd appoint they call and say she is running 30 minutes behind. I Told the receptionist just to cancel , I cannot go somewhere that is going to be late every time. I pay a lot of money to get my hair done, at least she can be on time. Kelly then called me back and tried to make it right by telling me how it was not her fault instead of taking ownership. Then told me they would charge me a cancellation fee and actually hung up on me, this was so unprofessional and childish. read more

Everything about the quality of my hair service (perm and "cut" for very fine hair) was wonderful. Trista is a complete pro, and anyone would be lucky to have her. The salon is doing everything they should to keep clients and staff safe during Covid. Parking is delightful. What was difficult is the $90 charge for the "cut," which was a literal 5-minute trim of several ends. I told her I didn't want much, just clean up some ends - but I told that to the front desk, too, and they said "any time a master stylist picks up a scissors, it's a cut." I would love to go back; I totally trust Trista with my challenging hair - and she couldn't be a more lovely person - but I'm not in the category of clientele who can afford $400 at a crack (including tip and products), and that they didn't proactively adjust that $90 charge has been so hard to get over. I'm so disappointed, because I really found my Austin stylist, but unfortunately it's not the salon for me. read more

I went to Kaylee the hair stylist because she was an expert in curly hair and WOAH! Not only was the salon extremely clean and trendy, but everyone was so nice! Kaylee immediately knew how to fix my hair (it was damaged and I didn't know how to deal with my curls). She cut my hair perfectly and styled it into a way I had never seen my curls in! Bella is an absolutely stunning studio with great parking. I went for the first time for a haircut with Erik. I feel like it's pretty rare that when you walk out of a salon with the exact style you described or showed a picture of. Erik was so fun to talk to, such a great personality, so knowledgeable about hair and products, and most of all really listened to what I wanted and gave me the exact style I was looking for. On my daughter's wedding day she booked three updos for the bride, the bridesmaid, and me! The bride also had her makeup done. I was expecting a little more flare for a bridal party, but the service itself was as expected. Our updos were beautiful and survived an outdoor wedding, rain and all. I will be contacting the salon in the morning. Now that the festivities are settled, I'm balancing my checkbook and noticed that I was charged for a service not performed. My fellow Yelpers, always check your receipts before leaving a business. I live 600 miles from the shop!!! I'll keep you updated. Update March 21: Spoke with Crystal at the shop this morning and she's working on the refund. She was super-courteous and was able to pinpoint the error quickly. Both times I did not get what I wanted. After the second time after I saw roots still showing after she just did my highlights. I am SOLD. After moving to Austin from Los Angeles I was nervous about finding a place that was on par with the salons back home, and oh my goodness Bella Salon is far better than I could have even dreamed! The staff, the decor, the space itself, it's honestly just a beautiful and amazing salon all around - and the prices are SO good! I did a color/trim, nails, AND a spray tan and I'm seriously never going anywhere else. I was amazed at how kind every single person who works there was - I feel like there is an almost hostile vibe at a lot of salons and was blown away by how happy and NICE the staff is! Sam did my hair and she is KILLER, the color is rich and hasn't washed out at all. Highly recommend the keratin treatment, my hair is highly processed and for the first time in years it's shiny and soft again. Maddie Joe did my nails and that girl has got TALENT! We did a negative space design with a pink iridescent accent and I have been getting a ton of compliments on them, highly recommend her. I never know what to do with my nails and she came up with the concept and was super fast, which I appreciate big time. I also had a spray tan done with Jessica, she was so thorough and made sure to go over some spots multiple times. I've had spray tans where it looked great that day but faded after the first shower, and this tan lasted a good five days before I started to notice any fade. The owner, Sarah, is the CUTEST, such a sweetheart, so it's easy to see why the staff she brings on is so happy. I really am impossibly stoked on finding Bella Salon, dying to try out their makeup artists next, and have heard great things about the girl who does microblading there. Yay Austin! read more
