I priced out a few garden supplies only to find they were the same exact price as Lowe's right down the street. New or not, the items are not returnable so naturally I would choose the Lowe's option. I visit this store probably every 90 days and will find that a huge amount of items have been sitting at the same price tag for six months or more. Most of the larger furniture they take in is not in the best shape and priced over $150.00. This includes couches that have been torn up by cats and stained up. Still, I visit waiting for the occasional item that is just mysteriously priced very low. Be aware that they sometimes do have % off specials - but there's only one whiteboard at the front of the store by the cashier that indicates this.

From these super economical finds, I was able to fabricate a garden gate, using the faucet as a creative spin on a traditional doorknob or latch. I love it. Recently, I eye spied, a partially used tub of tile adhesive and several random tiles. They'd be the perfect solution with someone with a tiny bathroom or counter top that needed sprucing up. You can find doors, windows, screen, light fixtures, tiles, wood, paint, and a whole host of parts that you can't pick up at any big box store. Think of the green project like a thrift store for your house or creative endeavor. Be patient and diligent, as it can be hit or miss.

I've been a customer for over 5-years and have made many donations as well as many purchases. I intended to buy a pallet of flooring; I gave my credit card to the cashier to pay for the flooring; I made a hasty decision because I was leaving town in a few days, then I changed my mind. On Sunday, the following day the stored was closed, I made contact with one of the stores workers by the name of Jerome. I told him I decided not to buy the flooring and requested my credit card be credited back to me for the $1980. On Monday I called and asked if I needed to bring my card to the store for the 1980 refund. I spoke to the Manager by the name of Jasmine; she informed me that they don't give refunds. Of course, I thought that was ridicules because I hadn't even removed anything from the store and proceeded to call the credit card company and file a claim for the $1980 to be refunded. Credit One gave me a temporary refund, I left town a few days later, when I returned, I still didn't think there was a problem until May 6, 2026, the day my bank reversed the credit claim, and I owed my creditor $1980. Since then, I've made attempt after another trying to recover those funds and I have not been successful. At this time my credit account is past due, and I refuse to pay for something I did not receive. The Green project sold the flooring to someone else. The manager Jasmine told my creditor that I had picked up the flooring and also told them there was a large, posted sign stating, "no refund policy", but this is not true, there was no sign at all posted. The Green Project knows very well I did not pick up the flooring, and they should've simply refunded my card. Basically, this is theft.

The flowerbed/Alter originally had a wood border and it was looking shabby. I decided to invest in a rock border. On trip one , I bought 11 Colorado rocks as a nod to my Father's home state. This would give me a gauge on how many I needed. Trip 2, 22 more. All in all about 150$ spent for the border. The pond was another story with several trips until I realized I needed both base rock fill ins and the flagstone topper. I also purchased some water grass and a beautiful purple lily. Super happy with this family run biz and their help in consultation and loading. Easy to shop, grab a cart and start loading, from one rock to a truck full. no rock too small or toobig. I'm sad I don't need anymore rocks, maybe I will one day.....but dang if my yard don't look gorgeous because of them!!

Regardless, he was kind enough to wait till I finished with my project to pay him at the end instead of making multiple payments every time I went there. Since that first time, I've actually gone back for other project needs and recommended him to friends and family. They have not been steered wrong by this company either. Alas, I love sharing tips & little secrets, so here goes. They have some N100 & N95 masks in stock again! Now, by giving out this tip I'm hoping anyone who reads it acts responsibly. Don't buy more than you need. Sharing is caring, hoarding is just greedy. Now, that being said, understand that it is still difficult to get masks here. The best way is to order online to pickup in store. You will still wait weeks but at least you can get what you need eventually. This is especially important for those at high risk for whom nothing less than an N95 will do. Order on line & head over to the express pickup counter. No waiting in line, less risk. Or better yet, use curbside pickup. Another tip about Grainger, they have batteries I couldn't find elsewhere. I had been searching for a specific watch battery I couldn't find anywhere. Not only did they have it but it cost me less than 2 bucks. They also carry lots of safety & cleaning supplies. I'm sure if there is something you're having trouble finding, they probably have it!
