Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it due to poor customer service and subpar service quality. In my initial appointment, I had a consultation with Ebony, where I was very specific about what I wanted, showing her pictures and emphasizing that I wanted an even hair color starting from the roots. However, when my appointment arrived, she only did a balayage that fell short of my expectations. Although I didn't voice my concerns at the time, Ebony noticed my disappointment and mentioned she would add notes to my account for full highlights at my next visit--something that should have been addressed during this appointment. I left feeling unhappy and let down. Months later, I returned for my second appointment only to find out that Ebony no longer worked at the salon. This time, I was seen by Jill and she was able to meet my expectations. For my third appointment, an hour before I was set to leave home, the salon called to reschedule because Jill couldn't make it that day. The new date they offered was tight, as I had planned a trip to Europe and scheduled this appointment well in advance to ensure I had fresh hair for photos. I wasn't given the option to see another stylist on the original date, and now I had to take an extra day off work for the rescheduled appointment. The salon didn't apologize for the inconvenience. In total, I had to take two days off, which was particularly challenging as I had a lot of work to finish before leaving for my trip. I finally had my rescheduled appointment, and unfortunately, it was a deep disappointment. After Jill finished blow drying my hair and inspected her work, she admitted that she should have left the color on longer, as my gray roots were still visible. I had clearly communicated that I wanted the roots fully covered. She promised to keep the color on longer at my next appointment, but by then, it was too late. After taking two days off, my hair still wasn't what I had requested. Three weeks later, my gray hairs were showing already (during my second appointment with Jill, my gray hair didn't become noticeable until three months later). I also asked for a haircut during this visit, requesting a one-length cut about an inch above my shoulders. Since my hair had previously been layered, Jill explained that my longest layer at the back would be shorter than the cut I wanted, but I was okay with that as I didn't want to compromise the length overall. In the end, she gave me a "bob" cut, which was not what I wanted and turned out shorter than I had described. To make matters worse, it became an angled bob, shorter at the back and longer in the front, which was completely off from my expectations. When I went to the counter to pay for my service, I spoke with Chloe at the front desk about the scheduling issues I had faced, including being forced to take two days off due to the salon's last-minute rescheduling. Instead of listening or offering to have a manager speak with me, she responded with an attitude, saying, "If it was an inconvenience to your life, you could have picked another day for your appointment." I explained that rescheduling wasn't my choice, but she only became more dismissive, suggesting I should have chosen a weekend to avoid taking time off work. I was taken aback by her response and the overall lack of customer service. I don't have a typical Monday to Friday job; my work involves various time zones and often includes weekends. Her attitude implied that I was at fault for the rescheduling, which left me shocked and frustrated. My husband was saddened to see how disappointed I was, especially since I didn't get any good pictures during my trip due to my dissatisfaction with my hair. He reached out to the salon director and connected with Emily Cruz. When I spoke to Emily, I explained all the issues I had faced. She listened and acknowledged that Chloe should have been more empathetic and apologized rather than offering her opinion. Emily offered to redo my roots since the color hadn't been applied long enough to cover my gray hair. However, I declined because I didn't want to return and risk another negative experience with Chloe, who would be the first point of contact upon my arrival. Emily then asked how she could help resolve the situation. I mentioned the salon's policy on their website, which states a 50% charge for cancellations made less than 12 hours before an appointment. I explained that since the salon had canceled my appointment less than 12 hours prior to a scheduled time I'd booked four months in advance, it would be fair for them to reimburse me 50%. I paid $575 for full highlights, a root color that wasn't done properly, and a haircut. My hair was already short, and I felt the quality and service I received did not justify the cost. read more

I've been going here for over 2 years. I love the salon and my hairdresser... BUT... they have policies that are pretty bad if you end up needing to cancel. We had a major life event that made a hair appointment an after thought. They charged me for a full 2 hour session instead of understanding at all. Wouldn't check with the owner or my hairdresser to make an exception. Unfortunately that means I just won't go here anymore. I completely understand a policy for someone just forgetting to call in, but in this scenario there should have been some understanding rather than a cold, were going to charge you anyway take on it. Again, not the hairstylists fault, she's great, but I will never support a business that sees you purely as a dollar sign rather than values your business going forward. Sadly, I'll be looking for another hair salon now. Basically: Good service, but really cold policy with no understanding of life events. read more

I adore my hand-tied extensions for volume. I have what one would politely call very "fine hair", and the hand-tied extensions have significantly upped my confidence & compliments. I've never had extensions before v Bella Sirena Salon, but now I have the lush hair I've sought for years. I always figured I needed growth & length, but my locks with extensions have proven to show off everyday with the newly added thickness. The maintenance is fairly simple, and my stylist answered any questions I had, I've continued my same hair routine, just with more hair woven in to take care of. I love my stylist there. The parking is hard so I usually park in the public parking below the library and walk over. When I discovered that little trick it makes the parking so much easier. I love that they offer water or tea but I usually go for water because the tea has a distinct licorice taste which I do not like, but I love the concept that they provide you with a beverage while you wait and cut your hair. They updated the salon recently and I like it. It's a little more minimalist but very clean and sleek. I also like that I can get my Aveda products there and they are close enough to my home that I can get my product without having to go very far. Love my experience there! read more

I have been coming to this salon for about 2 years now to get blowouts and highly recommend them! The blowouts range from $50-$65 depending on the level stylist you book with, each service even comes with a complimentary hand or scalp massage with your choice of an essential oil (the lavender is my favorite!). I used to see my stylist Athena at another salon and followed her here because her blowouts are AMAZING!! I have textured hair and she always knows exactly what products to use to make me hair feel silky smooth. I've even fallen in love with some of the Aveda products and can really see a difference in my hair health journey. There have been a few times I've seen other stylists due to scheduling availability and everyone there is so knowledgeable about the Aveda brand and products. I went last week to have my hair cut by Jill, and she did a great job! First of all, I love that she takes late appointments - I think mine was at 7pm - which works really well with my work hours. She let me choose what essential oil scent I liked and then gave me a scalp/neck/shoulder massage before washing my hair. She talked to me in detail about what style I wanted and made sure I understood how the cut would work in a ponytail, etc. The cut was great and even though we finished after 8pm, she took the time to straighten it so I could see the full effect. She noted my hair type and offered some helpful suggestions on products but didn't push me to purchase them since I wanted to think about it. Yikes. I went in to have some blotchy highlights I put in, colored over to make them still be there just less noticeable. The "base color" she chose to weave through was a very dark ashen brown. For context my "base color" is a copper gold. Then a "detox wash" was put on to try to take out some of the darkness. My hair (which is down to my lowest rib) still looked awful: dark ashish brown, no red nor warmth. So, when I got home I put in a reddish conditioner and washed it a few more times. I paid $150- for that visit and was to go back the next day to have highlight put in to try to lighten up the dark disaster and was told I'd be charged for it. The manager refused to acknowledge the extent to the difference between the my base color and the color that the salon put on. To try to help lift the color I'd scheduled highlights but was told I'd have to pay for them despite the highlights being a way to help take the darkness out that was put on my hair. I went somewhere else. I love Aveda products but this salon is incompetent and doesn't take responsibility for putting a level 6 on my hair when my base color is a level 8CG and lightens from there. read more

I went in for a cut and gloss using a groupon. Let me start off by saying that my experience outside of the haircut itself is spectacular, I love my stylist's fun personality and everyone who works there seems friendly. The decor is nice and I didn't notice any extraordinary noise experienced by some of the other yelpers. I felt extremely comfortable (which is unusual for me at a hair salon) and loved the fact that my stylist and I played with make up while we were waiting for my gloss to set. Here are the few problems - first, it was impossible to find parking... I circled the block at least 3 times before trying the library and also had no luck. Finally got lucky with a street parking spot and was 10 minutes late for my appointment. I asked for a more experienced stylist and was assured that mine has been cutting hair for 4 years, but turned out Makayla was just a month out of beauty school. Okay... she seems like a nice person and she definitely listened to what I wanted, so I didn't mind that much. Unfortunately, despite her ability to identify my issues (razor damage and awkward growing out phase from aggressive layering), she was unable to fix it because my hair is extremely difficult to cut. In fact, she left me with an even more awkward thick layer on the right side. I pointed it out to her, and she did try to fix it again, but I fear she made the situation worse, so just told her that it was fine. I am certain it would eventually grow out (in a couple of weeks). To her credit, she does know her products, and she seems well versed in a number of styling techniques. Despite this flaw, I am tempted to go back to her because I liked her, and she is relatively inexpensive: $25 for a cut. I think when my hair is much much longer, it would be a more straight forward cut and I wouldn't mind letting her have another chance, but I definitely would warn you to not go to Makayla if your hair is anything but straight forward. read more

Styling my hair this morning was a breeze because of Jill's amazing cut. I am due for a color soon yet my hair color and the health of my hair looks amazing. As I walked out the door this morning feeling great, I know that this feeling of satisfaction is 100% due to Jill's care for me and my hair. in fact, I recall her stating at my last color that it was her responsibility to notice if my color is not in an optimal state. this is refreshing because in the past, I have walked around with visible stripes and burnt hair from color treatments at other expensive salons. Samantha, who did my eyelash extensions, was sweet and thorough. She was very nice. Took a little longer than I expected, nearly an hour and a half for a full set rather than the hour I was expecting. Especially since she only added near the center of my lids and did not expand out as much near the edges. She did a meticulous job! And it was worth the groupon deal! I called in being in dire need of scalp treatments and a blowout due to a physical ailment that is denying me the ability to wash my own hair. Within 30 mins of scheduling my appointment with the very friendly front desk staff, I was sitting with Jill to get my hair back on track. She was caring, understanding, honest, and very professional while dealing with my special case and I am certain that I will be returning to her for future washes/scalp treatments and hair color / cuts! I moved here recently from the east coast and have gone to a few different salons in the Seattle area. I found Bella Sirena by chance because I needed to buy an Aveda product and one of their stylists was so nice I decided to give her a try. She did a fine job on a haircut but then went out on leave unexpectedly so I had to switch to another stylist who I liked a lot personally. The appt I had scheduled with her was swapped for someone else who had a higher rate and I got charged the higher rate. That should have been an indication of what was to come.... My next cut was ok but color could have been more subtle, as I had requested. The next appt for color, however, was a complete disaster. First, the stylist listened to my feedback on her last color work and miss the mark entirely - it was like she rush through it. She listened to what I said but then her solution was a mess - creating a ring of color around my roots that looked terrible. Next, was worse. After the roots were done, all the sudden a different person started working on the rest of my hair. Puzzled, I asked what was going on and she stated that 'x' was going to be a team player and cut someone else's hair while she finished mine. Apparently a woman came in and the stylist she had booked with had gone home sick. So, to my dismay, her appt. superceded mine. They didn't even ask if it was ok! They just made the move. No discount, nothing! - like it was perfectly fine with me!!! I had to ask for my stylist to come back and trim my bangs and she hurried over and hacked them, not even straight. It was crazy - I was in complete disbelief! I won't ever return there. Clearly I was second class to the other customer. Not! I wouldn't recommend this salon. I got a deal for a 60-min elemental facial + 20 min upper back massage. After the appointment, I kind of wished I didn't get the deal (which was $49). First of all, an elemental facial at this salon is priced around $80, which is way overpriced. I've had Aveda facials elsewhere (with similar store atmosphere) for less than $70. Let me break down my experience (btw it was my first time at the salon): Location: Quite good but you'll need to find street parking, which could be difficult depending on when your appointment is. Atmosphere: OK, but not the best. It's a hair salon, so like someone else said, you could hear conversations and other environmental noises through the thin door. However, I thought the facial room itself was quite cozy. Front-desk service: There were 2 ladies, one was definitely in training. The non-training one lacked in good customer service, but I could see that the trainee was trying very hard to learn and do her job. Despite her willingness, it was awkward and some transactions took longer. I went in a bit late to my appointment, so I just wanted to get started with my facial right away but she was like "Let me take you on a tour of the salon." Sure, I'd have liked a quick tour if it were a day spa, but I didn't need a tour of a small hair salon, especially when I was already late. But I am sure she meant well. Facial: The facial was a typical Aveda facial with a bit more massage added on. It wasn't like she did a separate, full 20 minutes worth of massaging, so I felt a bit mislead by the deal. She was, however, very friendly and did her job well. (She let me relax by not being talkative during the facial). This happened with many facials I've gotten before, but aestheticians including this one didn't really make sure I looked ok after the facial. I still had some masque and cream left on my hairline afterwards, so I had to wipe those things off myself. I find this unprofessional, but it happens to me often. Would I go again? No. I would definitely not pay regular price for this facial when I've gotten something better elsewhere. The best facial I've had was with Viola at Zilpa Spa in Issaquah. I'd recommend her if you're looking for a facial. Her facial is about 85-90, but service/atmosphere/professionalism/results were all good. If I'm paying only $5~10 more, I'd much rather go to Viola. read more

If there is a negative star I would give it one! first of all, they called me and left me a vm saying the appt will be delayed by another 30 minutes because the stylist won't be there (she was running late). I get there and she puts a demi-permanent color on my hair, which literally does nothing to it, it is one shade cooler but you can still see the grow out. I had explained to her that I needed it to be corrected and I am not interested in black. This means she needs to use a brown hair color. She makes me leave the salon with my hair wet!!! and asks me to come back the next day so she can color correct it. What does she do? She puts BLACK! ALL OVER my hair. I am so furious, I got home and my hair was all black. I feel like I need to call them and ask for a refund because she ruined my hair. I hate this place, I am never going there again. read more

I went in for a "90-minute self renewal facial" and was sorely disappointed. The treatment room is right next to the salon area and it's not even close to being sound proof. I've been coming here for the past 5 months and have had the best experience and service. I've had two different hair stylist because my first one went on maternity leave. I've now been with Jessica for the the past three visits and each time it's been awesome, she gets the cut and color just right every time. I'm not very picky with the cut so I like to ask for her suggestions. And she gladly gives it and each time I love it. I love the de-stress relaxing treatment she starts with and the hand massages as you wait for your color to set. Everyone here has been super friendly and helpful. I had a HORRID experience at Gene Juarez, my hair was incredibly dark. I was relieved to find that Jamie is very good with blondes. She's been helping me lighten ever since. My hair is none the worse for wear. I am so thankful! This is a pretty good salon, all-in-all. Yes, you can hear other people's conversations, and yes, you have to find street parking. She definitely embodies what good customer service is, and it began with her pleasant demeanor. She asked questions to find out how to make this experience a good one for me. She also answered any questions I had for her. I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me (check in and out) at the desk, but she was incredibly polite as well. The staff seemed genuine. I got waxed. I would recommend Paris to anybody wanting any waxing. The clear coat and haircut I received were both great! I walked out of the salon transformed. The salon uses Aveda products which are superior to other salon lines and they smell fabulous! I'm not sure why others reported such bad experiences also! I tried Bella Sirena for the first time using a Travelzoo coupon for an Aveda facial and head/neck massage. I misread my start time on my iphone and showed up 15mins early so had some time to check out the place and read some reviews on Yelp! The lady who checked me in offered me a beverage - I opted for the Aveda herbal hot tea. It was delicious! She gave me a tour of the salon, which I've never had before at other salons, so thought that was a nice, personal touch. I have to agree with a former reviewer - the treatment room is obviously in the same vacinity as the hair stations and next door to the office, so I could hear hair dryers and phones ringing during my session, but that doesn't really bother me as I can fall asleep during a concert - that's just me! I do agree though, when I am getting a relaxing treatments like a massage or facial, it would be nice to be in a more "serene" environment. If I got facials on a routine basis, I may not mind the hustle and bustle outside of the treatment room doors, but since I don't, I may want a more peaceful setting. The gal doing my treatment was friendly, professional, and let me know exactly what to expect before my treatment started, which I really appreciated! She was really gentle so of course I fell asleep. bummer, as I probably would've gotten more out of the treatment if I'd been awake! Overall, a good experience. I've been to this salon 4 times. Twice for a hair cut with their "new talent" and twice for a facial. Every time I've had a good experience. No complaints here. ** Be sure to get on their email list** They send last minute deals like: $25 cut with "new talent", $50 color, $80 full foil. This deal is great for a trim. I figure go this route instead of my regular stylist where I get charged full price (cut $45+) for a trim (although most places charge more like $60+ for a cut) even if you say "trim".
