We had a wonderful experience I only wish we were located closer so we could go back. Each one of us had an awesome hairdresser and we loved it. DESTROYED MY HAIR! Got a half brazilian blowout (only get it done on top of hair to avoid being too flat) with Francisco over the weekend, washed my hair on Sunday and it was all burnt!! I have had brazilian blowout before and the product is great, except he used flat iron in such extreme temperature that it melted my hair, and burnt my scalp, it started by being itchy and a week later I had a scalp scabs!! Nightmare!! ASs mentioned, I only geet half BB and it made clear it was the heat know because the bottom hair that didn't receive the product was even worse. Called Fernanda (o) on Tuesday - they are close on Monday, she immediately had the attitude of well that doesn't happen, never heard of it before, etc. to the point that I asked her if she was thinking it was a made up story and if she would be interested in seeing my hair at all?!! Reluctantly she makes an appointment for a Saturday and says it is just to see, I confirmed "Is it just to see it?" YES! They are phony as it gets, large fake smiles, outdated professionals, not sure their products are even genuine, I could tell she had no intention of taking responsability for the lousy job. Instead. of appointment with her I went to doctor's appointment to treat my scalp injuries. Doctor was perplexed! I went to the salon, Fernanda (o) inquired if I had a way to prove it? She/He was rude and immediately threatened to call the police and lock me out the place!! hahah I said g ahead and call the Police but then she backed down. What was he going to tell the police? I burnt this lady hair and scalp and she wants me to treat it?!! I am taking the legal route, someone needs to stop them from doing this to people, its endless reviews like this. I say this often but this is a find! A hidden gem! Buy with me had an offer for a one hour massage for $30 so why not try it out. I do not go pamper myself as much as I'd like to but that is probably true for quite a few of us. I keep on trying to find just the right place and I felt really great when I left. The salon is beautiful and modern. It is small but cozy. The people are very friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions to ask about what products and services they provide and they were so informative, kind but not pushy. I was late getting to my appt and go a bit lost and they were very kind about it. I took the turn into the shopping plaza and their drive way was one turn before. The entrance is tucked away in the back so it wasn't so obvious to me from the street. The massage itself was really relaxing but I could also feel her get the knots out of my legs and lower back. I left feeling like I had a massage which sometimes isn't always the case. The bed was warmed and comfortable. I've gone to massages where I've enjoyed the massage but felt either cool or cold which for me doesn't allow my muscles to relax as much. The massage included my head, face, arms, hands, legs, back, and shoulders. I wish I hadn't fixed my hair and make up before I went but I didn't look like Medusa when I left either. read more

Kelly is AMAZING. If you are a blonde she is the only person I would ever go too. Both my sister and I drive over an hour to see her. I tried to go to someone near me to save time and it was a disaster, I didn't know it was possible to mess up basic blonde highlights but I ended up darker than I have been my entire life. I even went back to have it re-toned because I just didn't think it was possible to bleach hair and be dark but that still didn't work so I spent over $300 to then crawl back to my beloved hairstylist Kelly. I'll never make that mistake again! If you have something in mind, be specific, bring pictures, communicate to your stylist and Kelly will make your dreams come true. LOVE HER. Walked in and felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. No one was talking. Stylists were robotic. I watched one comb the same spot on a client for 15 minutes without saying a word. My stylist turned me completely away from the mirror as she cut. When she finished I knew why. It was nothing like what I asked for. When my stylist was blow drying my hair she used high heat. I asked her to use lower heat it was burning my neck and ear. She did not turn it down. I left and went to another salon that fixed what Bella sisters had done. read more

Today was my first appointment with Francisco - I saw a woman's haircut on the commuter rail into Boston, and she sent me his way, saying he was "outstanding" - this is the honest truth! He gave me a wonderful cut - could not stop looking in the car mirror on the way home, as it makes me look YEARS younger! I got a blow dry and the stylist was great. I got home 2 hours later and my blow dry was ruined. The weather was a little humid but not raining at all. A 50 dollar blow dry should not be ruined that quickly. I called management and emailed and said nothing they can do. I understand service was performed but Clearly something went wrong. An amazing place where everyone is truly nice and friendly. It feels like coming home every time I go there, which isn't as often as I'd like because I live down the Cape. Can't say enough good things about this place, the services, prices and people. And major props for coming back so quickly from the fire. I got a pedi today for $35, it lasts an hour and includes extras like a 10-minute foot/leg massage with hot stones. You sit in a massaging chair that you control. Everything is very clean and all metal tools come from sealed packs (like a dentist's office). This is the only place I've ever got manis and pedis and will be the only place. I have been going to Bella's Sisters Salon for about 5 years now and they are absolutely amazing at what they do. I regularly get bikini waxes and every aesthetician I have had has done a wonderful job, especially Ana Paula (who just so happens to be the owner). The entire staff is so courteous and friendly from the minute I walk through the door. Recently I had to bring my niece with me for an appointment and the front desk people didn't hesitate to get her hot chocolate and cookies as she waited for me to be done with my appointment. My niece begged to stay longer! These people know how to treat a customer right and I will forever stand by how great their service is. First time customer. Honestly, it was the worst manicure in my life! It took forever for that new young lady to have it done. The work was done completely unprofessional. She doesn't know how to make a square shape, she doesn't know how to put the polish on and on the top she was extremely slow. 2.5 hours for 1 hour job is way too much. I had a friend get me the Buy with Me for an hour massage as a bridesmaid gift for her wedding. So I decided to use it a few days before my own wedding to relax. The salon is not easy to find but there is plenty of parking. It is clean, modern and very pretty. They gave me a bottled water as soon as I arrived. They do hair, waxing and massage and it is at metro-west prices so much cheaper then what I am used to in Boston. Ana-Paula was great. I felt so awesome after my massage. They had someone training who was watching which was a little weird. I am kind of a Buy with me and Groupon whore when it comes to massages and beauty services. I visited Bella Sisters due to great Yelp reviews, proximity to work and the amazing bikini wax pricing. Unfortunately, this was my worst waxing experience... ever. It took 1 hour and fifteen minutes to do a Brazillian and an eyebrow wax. Each second was excruciating as the (inexperienced ?) waxer slowly peeled off the strips inch by inch. The worst part was that, despite the length of time and despite the abnormal pain that was inflicted on me.... SHE STILL DID NOT REMOVE ALL OF THE HAIR. There were numerous patches where it was obvious that the hair broke off at skin level instead of being ripped out at the root as well as patches of hair that were simply not removed due to lack of precision. Deal seeker beware: spend the money on an establishment that knows how to do a proper wax. read more

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the salon...when I called to book the appointment (a much needed blow out) the receptionist Rebecca was SO INCREDIBLY SWEET. Every service person should take a cue from this young girl!! That's mainly the reason I gave four stars (and my blow out looked pretty good). They offered me water, took me promptly, the shampoo was pretty good (I only got a little bit of water splashed on my face) but there was still hair from the last client at her station. ALL OVER THE PLACE. I know it was late and maybe she didn't have an assistant to clean up for her but when I got there early her previous client was long gone and she was idly chatting with a friend leaving her plenty of time to clean up. I had one of the owners (Roberta) do my hair and I admit I have fairly thick/coarse hair that can be a bit tough to manage. But as the owner of the salon (who does ALL types of hair) I didn't think it would be such a big deal. She kept making exasperated faces at another stylist as if to say "why me?" Um..thanks, that type of reaction really makes me want to come back... A wash and blow dry was relatively inexpensive ($30) and it is so close to my house which is convenient (as are their hours for after work access) but the experience did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I may keep shopping around to find a place close by for my weekly blowouts. read more

Worst customer service. I got groupon and made appointment a day before and I had emergency that I have to cancel my appointment. When I called the person was extremely entitled and rude and she said she will redeem my groupon without me using it. She told me people read policy which and she was raising her voice saying this is holiday season do you think it is fair to us? She was very low class and awful way to handle the situation. Got a groupon for a keratin treatment, was asked for a voucher number when I called to make the appointment. The person who got the number marked it as redeemed. When I showed up at the appointment I was asked for the number again but groupon does not let you see redeemed coupons. The ladies at the front desk were not friendly by any means and asked me for my phone to verify if groupon does not let you see redeemed coupons.I have been treated much better at Newbury street salons! I purchased a voucher on groupon for a manicure and express pedicure. The salon was adorable! The girl at the front desk was so happy and welcoming and immediately got me a coffee and escorted me to pick out a color. Lais (spelling?) did my nails and did a wonderful job. The pedicure was hardly an express pedicure. The term express made me think it may be more of a polish change but the only thing that wasn't really included was a foot mask or hot stones. The gel colors were displayed on the bottles which I appreciated. She really took her time and I'm very happy with the outcome. I even got a little take home sugar scrub with the service. I used a groupon purchase for a mani-pedi. The pedicure(regular) was mediocre. I got a shellac manicure for which I wasn't happy at all. Firstly, they barely have a bunch of colors to select from, like around 20 of them for shellac. I have done shellac earlier at other nail salons and they have lasted at least more than a week or two. This one started coming off in two 2 days! The surface was really uneven (needed more buffing, probably a buffing tool )and I also had bubbles on some nails. They have a good salon and seem pretty professional for other services but they aint good for nails. read more

Roberta at Bella Sisters has cut my hair for the last five or so years. She always does a great job and listens to my requests regarding length, layers, etc. I have fairly curly but fine hair which can be hard to cut - but it always ends up looking great! Recently (within the last year or so), I also began seeing Ana Paula for my eyebrow waxing. She, too, does a fantastic job and listens to my requests - which is very important considering how a bad eyebrow job can make you look completely crazy. With the exception of the holiday rush (which is to be expected) I'm always able to book an appointment within the same week and Fernanda and the other receptionists are always cheerful and accommodating. I never really know what I want done with my hair, just that I want it to look good, and she definitely understood my vague instructions and gave me a cut I'm comfortable with but looks fresh. The salon's environment was lovely, and the front desk attendant and girl who washed my hair were great as well. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I'd rate no stars if I could! **This was a Groupon Purchase!** Totally my choice, but I traveled an hour and 15 minutes in a snowstorm for this Groupon, so keep that in mind as you read this review. First, I came in and was greeted by one of the sweetest receptionists ever! Then, another woman came out to do my pedicure and manicure. She didn't say "hi" or speak a word (I wish I asked her name)! I go to take of my boots for my pedicure and sit down... she turns on the water and fills up the pedicure bath. She doesn't ask how the water is... literally spoke no words to me besides "do you want to cut or file?" and "is that gel on your hands?" I responded "file please, and gel". She puts on the nail polish remover and foil on my fingernails. Then the pedicure... She takes my off nail polish, files my nails, then grates my feet with what I call 'the cheese grater' (), and then she puts a scrub on my legs and rubs them for less than a minute, then oil on my legs and rubs for like 10 seconds and she starts painting my toes.... that was legit my whole pedicure (didn't even last 15 minutes)! Not relaxing at all! And she used this weird tool to clean off the excess polish that got on my toes, not a brush like normal salon. Let's move on to the gel manicure... we sit down and she asks "file?" I said, "cut and file please"... she seemed pissed that I said that. Then, she starts removing my gel polish. After, she buffs my nails, cuts them, files and then put on soap and sprays water for my cuticles. Let me just say, I WISH I took a picture of the way she filed my nails BEFORE I asked her to fix them THREE times! She rounded one side and squared off the other and my two hands are different lengths (I had to fix it at home) because she kept saying "I don't understand" when I asked her to fix them. I had to take the file and do it myself... then after I fixed them, she starts painting them.. she doesn't clean up the excess polish on the side. I asked her if she was going to and again, she said "I don't understand what you want".... of course you don't. If you don't understand English, then you shouldn't work in a place that requires you to speak to your clients IN ENGLISH. Needless to say, HORRIBLE experience. My nails are messy and my pedicure was fast and NOT relaxing. I didn't even get the scrub that was promised in the Groupon... the woman left me at the manicure station as soon as my manicure was done. Unbelievable. Don't waste your time OR money! read more
