I came in with an inspiration picture and a haircut expectation, simple. This haircut is uneven and poorly executed. I paid $185.00 for IDK WHAT. I left the salon with the same color hair I walked in with which is a dark brown, and I asked for a deep cherry red color. I walked in with dark brown; I left with the same color but different root color?, I have no idea what happened with the color, but it is honestly disgusting....... As for the haircut, the ends are choppy, there is no proper shaping, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a salon. Poorly blended ends, one side is visibly longer than the other and it looks unfinished. I will not be returning, I do not recommend this salon, and I will be letting others know about this. read more

Extremely RUDE receptionist, owner and manager. Never had such experience in my lifetime! Came here first time, I was late 10 minutes for the manicure running out of the office. Upon arrival was told that there is not enough time for gel only regular manicure. I agreed. Later after TWO nails were covered with one layer of nail polish I asked if I could change the color and was told that there is not time for that and have to finish what I picked or wait for an hour. I agreed to finish what was started but then manager announced that there is no time for that as well. I was told by the owner that they have to work for living and can't accommodate anyone coming 10 minutes late. I have to work for living as well! Extremely RUDE and UNWELCOMING. I just moved to the area from the South Shore and I was nervous about finding a conveniently located salon that I could trust with my hair. A last minute google search after months of not getting my hair cut or styled led me here and I was so glad! There are two things that have put me off in the past about a salon: an uncomfortable environment (whether it be the space itself or the things the stylists were talking about or the stylist making a mistake on my hair and going too extreme with layering/ taking too much hair off). I am thrilled to say neither of these were my experience at Dellaria Natick. My stylist, Kaylyn was easy to talk to and made me feel welcome as a new client, she also knew how to handle my hair and this was easily one of the best haircuts I've had because it really suits my face shape vs. some of the choices I've made in the past. New clients get a nice discount and you get a discount for referring someone. I am so happy they didn't overcharge me because of my hair length. I know salons charge for the labor and experience of the stylists but in the end, I was satisfied with the entire experience and I will be back soon! read more

My mum and I have been coming to Dellaria Natick for years and have always been satisfied with the experience and service. However after my last appointment, I am not so sure if I will go back. I last went to Dellaria to brighten up the balayage I had gotten done at the Newton location. The stylist that I had in Natick seemed to rush through it, and pretty much dyed my whole top layer of hair white and left the under layers dark brown (not to mention one side was more dyed than the other). They also brushed through all of my curls, which completely messed up the texture of my hair (which you are not supposed to do!). Overall including tip I payed $180 for a poor job, and this did not even include a blowout. I came back the next day and was lucky enough to have a stylist fix it for me for no further charge. Although she did a great job, I was totally rushed off, as she had a previously booked client to get to. She stuck me under an incredibly hot hair dryer for 30 minutes, and my hair absolutely cooked. Luckily another stylist saw that I was in pain and turned it off. Overall I expected better from Dellaria, and am pretty disappointed. read more

Got my mop trimmed today. Mr. G has been going to Guido's for years so I now go too. I do miss my place in Boston but couldn't wait to make the trip since I no longer work down there. I have been growing my hair out for Locks of Love so I got a simple 1/2" trip to clean up the ends. Sadly the price is still high even without a blow dry but on another note he did exactly what I asked for so on a happy note I didn't come out having something I hated or didn't want. I have gone to places and asked for one thing and got something completely different and was very disappointed so with all that said this place is still a thumbs up. read more

I was able to make a same-day appointment for last night (thank you online booking!). The website is a little weird, but it's much more user friendly than other salon websites I've looked at. Sam cut my hair and was awesome! Terrible manicure. The lady trimmed my cuticles briefly while they were dry then had me soak them for less than a minute in very cold water. No hand massage, then she used a quarter of the allotted tablespoon of lotion to swipe on the back of my hands. Also, filed most of my nails into very strange shapes. All for $25.00. Yuck man. I had a massage here because I was feeling cheap and I guess I got what I paid for. I had to wait for 45 minutes (even though I had an appointment) and people kept walking by as if I wasn't there. Perhaps they should realize people having a massage might be a little stressed out and annoyed to begin with, so I think my pissiness might have been a bit exacerbated... but I digress. The massage was marginal at best, and then she came at my back with some sort of rock/crystal thing which HURT! Maybe it's supposed to align my chakras or something, bring a sense of crystally peace to my being but all it did was scratch my back and make a bunch of painful red marks. I used to go to Dellaria's when I was a kid to get haircuts, and then eyebrow waxings and I never had a bad experience there. In fact, I remember taking lots of risks with my hairstyles during my teen years, and loving each cut here, from bangs to bobs. My last few experiences have been pretty mediocre at best. A couple of not-so-great trims and my most recent experience, and eyebrow wax gives 2 stars. So this location is pretty small, but it was dead when I came in here on my lunch break on a weekday. I had called ahead and was put on hold for about 5 minutes, and decided to hang up and just walk in. I figured they must be swamped since i had been left on hold, but, no, there was no one in there. Someone took me right away for the eyebrow waxing and she did a good job, but I've had red bumps for over 48 hours, which has never happened to me before. Eek. Also, during the waxing she was trying to push a haircut on me, and I kept saying no in various diplomatic ways and she kept asking. It was weird. On top of all that, the waxing was $16! I think that's robbery, considering i can get them done in Boston for $10. I won't be going back. read more

So this review is for Vanessa. I got a cut and color and it was the first time ever the stylist did something decent with my hair. She seemed to "get it" from the start what had to be done from a cut and color perspective. I went religiously for a few years, however, I had to stop because: (1) the accessory pushing. Listen up Dellaria managers... I do not want your overpriced junk product. Every time I went, they wanted to know if I wanted any of their shampoo. One time I caved and the stuff was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't use it on my cat; and (2) the price was just too high. For a cut and color we were pushing 155.00. With a tip, I was heading to the 200 mark. That is crazy. But, if this doesn't bother you, I would try Vanessa. She is talented. read more

However, when I booked my appointment (I asked for anyone) I did not realize the cost of a cut with my stylist. I wish I would have been made aware prior to booking my appointment the rate he charges. In the future, please disclose this information with your customers as I was a bit taken back with how much my haircut cost. I got a refund from Dellaria and here is why. I've had a couple of weeks to sit and suffer and think deeply about the haircut I got from Dellaria Natick. I walked in on a Saturday at the beginning of the month, ready to finally get my hair cut back to the short length it was at in August. My long bob had grown out and I wanted the exact same hairstyle, but shorter. Very simple. My hairdresser was really, really nice. She used words like "beautiful" a lot, and I felt like she truly wanted the best for me. I told her what I wanted, she washed my hair, and before she led me to to the chair, I said, "Just confirming, but I am getting the same haircut I currently have but shorter". She nodded her head and I felt like I was in good hands. We made small talk, and I thought I was in a nice relaxing therapeutic "treat yourself" type of situation. My mind drifted, and this is when things started to go wrong. The next thing I know, the hairdresser was blowdrying my hair. I put my glasses back on and was SHOCKED at what she had done. Remember how I asked for a long bob, same style as I currently had, but shorter? What I saw in the mirror looked like the haircut my mom would have given me if I had gotten lice and needed a quick chop, not thinking too much about the details. Or if someone's experimental pixie cut was in the awkward stages of growing out. I wanted my bob to be at chin length, but what the hairdresser forgot to do (and what I didn't realize) was estimate that wet hair may look longer, but will dry and become shorter. So instead of chin length, the longest strands of my new haircut hung awkwardly two inches above my chin, the perfect length to expose my chubby cheeks in the most unflattering light. There were multiple weird, short layers on one side of my head, but for some reason the hairdresser didn't feel the need to match it on the other side. The "long to short" effect of my long bob that a beauty school student had easily perfected in the summer (for a haircut that was only $20!) was now in scattered pieces, an awkward clear line between where my hair was "short" and where it started to go "long". And one side was jagged, the hair an awkward geometric divulsion from the rest of my awkwardly cut hair. "I gave you layers, because I could tell you wanted something same as before, but different. Your friends are going to love it! It's BEAUTIFUL! So modern!!" the hairdresser said, beaming and mussing up my new, ugly cut. I didn't know what to say, and this is where my second mistake happened. It is so, so important for customers to express dissatisfaction if they feel it, and I really should have. I felt bad because the hairdresser was so kind, and truly felt like she did a good job with my hair. The problem is, she did not give me what I asked for. In fact, she had gone ahead and completely improvised a haircut, a "modern" type of "bob" that I was now stuck with. I got up and went to pay at the register. The hairdresser waved goodbye as she went to get her new customer. "Thank you, I love it,", I said, defeatedly. Maybe if I said the words, I would believe them. I didn't believe them. This haircut was ugly, unflattering, and looked like the work of a child. Maybe a child could have given me a better haircut. My college friends have definitely given me better haircuts, with a pair of craft scissors, as I stood in a dorm bathroom. The worst part is, I had a fancy photoshoot with a school org the very next morning. My mom is sort of dramatic sometimes, one time I got my hair cut a bit shorter in high school (like chin length) and she cried because she didn't like it. Lol, usually I don't care what she thinks about what I do to my appearance BUT-- I couldn't even imagine what would happen if I went to this fancy photoshoot and she had to see my ugly haircut in it because I didn't want to see myself with it. My friends came to get me on Sunday morning for the photo shoot and I was so ashamed of my haircut that I ended up not going. For the next few days, I was miserable and frustrated. I wore a baseball cap most of the time. I truly appreciate how Dellaria handled the situation but honestly disappointed that something like this could have happened in the first place. I went in to get my hair "fixed" (there was not much to fix, my hair was already so short so not much happened there) and then I filled out a refund form. It took over 2 weeks to get a refund, but I got one. I don't know anything about being a hairdresser, but from my experience, here is my two cents: If you're a hairdresser and your customer gives you simple, specific directions about what they want, you should probably follow them. If you plan on improvising or doing "something different", PLEASE let your customer know what you want to do. Believe it or not, sometimes what you think will be an amazing haircut could be the customer's biggest nightmare. read more

I have curly hair and have used DevaCurl products for years. After seeing a video online about Deva Cuts, I wanted to try one out and searched for a salon in the Framingham area that offered them. When I I made the appointment for a Deva Cut at Dellaria, I was told to come in with clean hair without product in it, because it would be cut dry. Amanda sat me down and asked me what I was looking for and why I wanted a Deva Cut and I explained that I wanted more volume on top and that I didn't like it to be weighted down, frizzy and curly only on the bottom. That is EXACTLY what the haircut did for me! She cut it dry, then washed it and taught me how to style it. Though I've been using DevaCurl products for years, it turns out I'd been using them incorrectly! In the past week since I've gotten the haircut, I have gotten more compliments on my curls than I have in my entire life. Although a Deva Cut is expensive ($125), I love the way it brought volume back to my hair, and cut down on the frizziness! I've ended up looking like Alice from Dilbert more than once at other salons (to the point where I was happy with basically any haircut that didn't make me look like a poodle), but with this haircut I didn't worry about it coming out poofy or pyramid shaped or the curls jumping up three inches after being cut, because she cut them as they were dry. I have always been a big fan of Dellaria and have been going for years. Unfortunately, when the Natick salon moved from the Natick Mall to the Christmas Tree mall, the rent must have skyrocketed. (Not sure why, since the new location is in a much smaller, outdoor mall.) In the past they charged me $80 for a perm. Today I was billed $139. Yes, in their new location the perm now costs $59 MORE, or an increase of about 40%. For that type of increase we should be getting champagne in gold goblets. Sad. read more
