Review #962 2026-028 With the upcoming 3-day weekend, I needed something to keep my 10 YO occupied besides the screen & found the Bella Terra Kids Club: Valentine's Day Sweet Stroll on Eventbrite. It's a fun 90-min. walk through the open air mall with activities such as arts & craft, storytime, etc. Upon arrival, I was worried about finding The Green to check-in with less than 10-mins. before the event kick-off, but we saw this long time of parents with children & just followed along. We shuffled along for about 20-mins. until we were scanned in, picked up a cute pink Bella Terra tote & a map of all the participating businesses. There were 36, of which we were able to collect sweet treats from 30. It was barely 15-mins. in & Dog Haus was already out. Maybe because they were near the epicenter? But others like its neighbor, Pinot's Palette, Princess Bride Diamonds, Philz Coffee, still had goodies in their bowls. The furthest trek was out to Fogo de Chão, Luna Grill, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. M got hungry mid-stroll & I was fortunate enough to find a TGTG surprise bag at Nekter Juice Bar (refer to Review #963) for a quick pit stop. Most of the children participants look to be toddlers or in daycare, I didn't see too many older kids like mine. If we didn't have that rest break, I think we could have finished the stroll by 12:30 PM; he was there for the goodies, not the activities. We went over by 30-mins. & was still lucky to receive a sweet treat from the remaining participants, & received a l'il extra from some since the event was over. Whoohoo! M missed out from Buffalo Wild Wings, Dog Haus (ran out after 15-mins.), Flecha, Golf Bar (doesn't seem like they were open), Kabuki, Tutu School. When M walked out of Tutu School, Nightingale (refer to Review #961), American & Thai fusion cafe, wasn't on the Sweets Stroll map, but we were invited in for their complimentary sweets... a beautiful spread of cookies, mini muffins & donuts, Ferocher chocolates. It's my kinda eats; with such hospitality, I definitely plan to come back with the fam for brunch/lunch! Since I parked near Barnes & Nobles (refer to Review #964), we closed out the afternoon with a couple of bargain books (got the 2nd one at 50% off) at the B&N, Jr. section. Most mall kids club hold events during the week & the Sweets Stroll was on a Monday, & our school district happens to be off. I think I've taken my kids once or twice to these events when they were toddlers, but they were modest in comparison to Sweets Stroll's scale/grandness: business participants, goodies, & activities. Since I'm not a regular & I don't have much to compare with, I can totally be wrong about these kids club events. My son came home with a bagful of treats, & I discovered a few places that I'm looking forward to dine at. The Huntington Center originally had 4 2-story anchor stores: Barker Brothers (furniture store), JCPenney (department store with auto service center), Montgomery Ward (department store with auto service center), & The Broadway (converted to Macy's); I've been here a few times when I was studying at CSULB. Since 2006, Bella Terra opened as a lifestyle center that's anchored by Barnes & Noble, Cinemark Theaters, Costco, Kohl's, & Whole Foods. The mall's architecture is Tuscan-/Mediterranean-inspired with beautiful archways & structures, & fountains in the village-like complex. It's been a couple of decades since I've been here so I'm looking at them with fresh eyes. Thank you so much Bella Terra for entertaining my kid! I'm not really much of a "mall" person, but I like the outdoor vibe this place offers. They have a good selection of eateries along with a theater, REI, and places that I actually have interest in. Plenty of good shops with good service. The place is kept clean and tidy, and the parking structure usually has plenty of room. They really upped the ante with a Costco on premise. I find myself here a bit more as of late, the real bargain is the lack of frustration at this place vs. other malls - the prices are fine, but the savings is my anxiety. ;) read more

Bella Terra is a modern and giant shopping plaza located in Huntington Beach. This is one of the more popular plazas to visit in Orange County as this plaza has anchor stores like Costco, Whole Foods, Cinemark Century Huntington Beach and XD, Barnes & Noble, REI, World Market, Old Navy, and ULTA Beauty. [Parking]: This plaza has a parking structure dedicated for the entire plaza. Yes parking can get slightly difficult during busy dinner hours, but I never had any issue with parking and parking is free. [Noteworthy Highlights]: The Garden & Green is an inner courtyard located in front of the Cinemark theater. Currently the courtyard has a North Pole house setup for free photo ops. There's a flower vending machine right next to the theater & a musician will be playing live music on weekend afternoon. There's also a nice outdoor beer garden section near Dog Haus Biergarten and Buffalo Wild Wings & visitors can easily catch sports games here. [Food options]: One of the anchor eateries is Somi Somi at The Garden & Green and expect a long waiting line after 8 PM on weekends. They also have other decent food options like Silverlake Ramen, Philz Coffee, Ghost Sando Shop, and even The Cheesecake Factory. [Conclusion]: This is a perfect plaza for a cozy movie date, romantic evening out, hang out with friends to catch sports games, or an afternoon with the family. read more

Stopped into one of the eateries for lunch. Sat on the patio overlooking the courtyard and people watched as it was a beautiful day. They had a Santa taking pictures with families, including their pets. They had 2 backgrounds... a festive house or Santa's sleigh. Good looking authentic Santa. He made the pictures fun by pretending to photo bomb the families. He also leaned into the sleigh making the kids giggle with a resounding ho ho ho. read more

This is a nice area to hang out for families with young children. There's always entertainment in the center of the mall in front of the theaters. They often have small business fairs on weekends as well. The shops are limited but you'll find most of what you'll need. There's a few restaurants too, notably, The Cheesecake Factory and Flecha. It's pretty small, so it won't take you more than an hour or two to look around. read more

Oh Bella Terra.... you have a wide array of restaurants (chains and independent places) and stores. I enjoy the urban pseudo wilderness warriors in REI and I love perusing the vast wonderland of books at Barnes and Nobel while drinking a coffee from Philz. People can spend the whole day walking around the vast landscape. There are some nice places to just sit and people watch. The back side has all the wonderful craziness of Costco. Good luck with the madness of the parking lot. You can usually find parking if you are patient and maybe don't mind a walk to your destination. I'm happy to visit once in a long while but really don't want to spend all my time there every weekend. read more

I always enjoy Bella Terra for eatery options or go see a movie to attending events for families and kids! They have live music on certain days as well! A lot goes on here! My most favorite time of the year has to be during the holiday season! Bella Terra goes all out!!!!! They really want everyone to get into the holiday spirit by having various Christmas/Holiday themed events. The free Santa pics/meeting is excellent! The set up is always so incredibly fun and festive. Santa was so jolly and friendly. It wasn't a snap pic and leave, he actually interacted with the children from all ages. 2024 Santa was awesome. The staff for events are amazing: courteous, helpful, and joyful. They really do help make the events come alive! I recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on Instagram for all of the latest and greatest events taking place all year round! read more

This is one of those multi purpose centers that gets a lot of traffic, both foot and vehicle traffic. Needless to say, parking can be tricky at peak dining hours. Dine, shop, and do business here...which is nice as long as what you need to do is all contained here. And it probably is! Loads of places to eat. See a movie. Nosh on chocolate. Upgrade your mobile gadget. Immerse in books. Clothing, grocery, cookies and sweets shopping too. There's a lot packed into Bella Terra, it's worth a visit. read more

Today's experience at Bella Terra was amazing. It's such a laid-back, open-air mall with a perfect selection of big-box stores, casual restaurants, bars, and a movie theater in a great value. The walkable layout made it super easy to get around, and there's plenty of parking available. Plus, it's wheelchair accessible, which is a big plus. The atmosphere was great, very chill and peaceful. I loved walking around and checking out the variety of fantastic stores. With over 70 shops and restaurants, it had everything I needed, and I especially enjoyed the diverse mix of options. It's a huge place, but it never felt crowded, and the whole experience was so relaxing. Costco, Century Theaters, and all the unique boutiques made it a really fun spot to explore. The Bella Terra is a huge outdoor shopping and entertainment destination - it offers dozens of shops and restaurants along with a movie theater! Parking feels pretty cramped when you're here due to all of the traffic of people coming and going, not to mention there's also a Costco in the same shopping center, but the Bella Terra has something for everyone - quick service dining, family friendly restaurants, fine dining, loads of various cuisines, tea and coffee shops - it's a great place to spend an hour or two. Just be prepared to pack your patience when dealing with parking and exiting - especially around the holidays. read more

Patricia was very nice and accommodating. She helped me pick a Mediterranean Bianca Pizza. I waited at a table for a about 30 minutes (too long). A classyer restaurant would have offered me a glass of water or a complmentary dessert or side for my inconvenience. I guess that's a pipedream here at Bella Terra! The atmosphere was Awesome, very cozy! My Pizza finally arrived and it was burned on the bottom (CARBON DEPOSITS = CARCINOGENIC)and it was too salty! Lesson learned. My Pizza cost $33 for a personal size plus tip = $38.00. The experience was unique! Great except for the Food and the fact I had to wait so long! I will eat there again in 2 weeks to see if this was an isolated incident or if this typical behavior of Bella Terra. read more

I miss have a Starbucks in Barnes and Noble. And more chairs in the bookstore to sit in. And just a word on the patronage of all businesses everywhere post 1/2020. Covid was not an invitation for the world to rush everyone out of the establishments as fast as possible with no area to relax and enjoy a sense of community but nobody seems to care. Bella Terra is an outdoor mall in Huntington Beach near the 405 freeway inspired by the Tuscan villages of Italy. The main stores are Kohl's, Barnes & Noble, Cinemark Theaters, REI, Whole Foods, and Costco. There are parking lots throughout along with a parking structure. Each store has its own entrance and exit so they are not connected to each other. There are not a lot of shops here and although there are restaurants, they're spread out so you'll have to walk a bit to get from one to another. The Costco has its own parking lot but it's not as big as other stores so you might find yourself parking in the structure for a spot and carrying your cart back to your car. read more

Place is good but not much to do. The workers at the theater though were real pains in the butt. Came with a couple friends trying to watch a movie but they told us we needed a guardian even though we literally had one right next to us. Then had to call one of our moms just to check us in and staff kept staring at us even though we had 2 legal guardians. Also, while buying the ticket the girl was so stupid and unprofessional like you just told us we can't buy a ticket because we "don't have a legal guardian" then proceeded to call her manager and then he tells us the same thing. Like don't even call your manager if he gonna say the same thing so don't waste my time on bullcrap. Honestly, the experience there was horrible except for the guy who made popcorn but overall great movie. read more

Bella Terra used to be state-of-the-art and elegant. Now it's looking pretty sad. A fountain that was working still posted old signs that it was under repair. Reindeer looked sad and a little tired propped up on benches. One store with customer facing windows to the outside sported empty windows (during the holidays!?!?) and worse, it had a peg board backing which was invented in 1962. Another store had a giant negative sign about prosecuting shoplifters. Just not that classy folks. read more

What's with the low star reviews? I actually enjoyed my visit here. Customer service was great, food was great, and they greet you with, okay.......a drink that needs some work......sour alcoholic pineapple drink of some sort. But the actual food was delicious. Don't judge the place based on the welcome drink. The tacos were good, burrito was flavorful and filling. The margaritas were made with love and very satisfying as well. My girlfriend had to throw her hand in the photo but the drinks were not attention lacked. read more

Huge! Spotless place to walk around with beautiful landscaping. They also have a Century movie theater here. People are nice. Staffs look well trained at most places. Not everything is cheap around here, but the quality exists at the stores. Modern and luxurious looking in some spots. Great shopping district for dining out at restaurants and retail shopping. It's actually walkable to Costco behind the parking garages and walkable to a German looking Christmas Market across the street too. This place is definitely for walking around for hours. The retail spaces are well designed and there's plenty of stores/outlets to choose from. Parking lot is huge too. Beautiful holiday decorations and vibes here. This is definitely a great place for dining out and taking photos. We will likely revisit again. Restaurant choices are extremely tempting that it may take more time to make a selection. Bella Terra is a busy bustling center with major selections such as Costco, Whole Foods, Kohls and many restaurants. When searching for parking, if you can avoid the Costco area do so because the Costco area is too small for all the patrons and gas line. Try parking in garage or near kohls. The plaza has many restaurants to choose from such as Kings fish house, Cheesecake Factory, sushi, and many more others. Such a fun mall! This is the garden green room area. I was here to take a picture with Santa. So many places to eat here as well as shop. It's like rodeo drive in Beverly Hills. I like the atmosphere and they had snow machines during the evening. Also a Disney Princess hour. Yesterday was the night market and so many cool places were here. For the sound of its name of, "Bella Terra," you think it'd be some Beverly Hills kind of place, but it's actually a very chill place with basically many shops, restaurants, a theater, and places to just sit and hangout. It's a shopping destination for friends, families, or even if you just wanna just take a nice walk around. It feels like this place is always happening, no matter what time or day of the week you're here. Its likely because it houses so many variety of shops and things, that everyone is just here. Parking can be little chaotic if you park outside, but they also have a parking structure, which is easy to locate and just park your car there. There are no parking fees, just in-and-out basic parking here. Some cool places here are the Brazillian Barbecue restaurant, Fogo De Chao, the food selection, and the big ol' Century Theater, which is also a great place for movies. The service at one restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, can be slow when extremely busy. The selection options for dining is sufficient. The overall value, in my opinion, is okay. Reasons for 1 star review: I had witnessed or experienced multiple incidents at this mall (I'm a frequent visitor) due to lax security. - kids harassing people at the washroom (I was a victim) - kids on bikes harassing people (saw a kid on a bike attacked a person by throwing ice from a cup at a girl - imagine that was your daughter) - Random people being racist (I was a victim of a person who was passing by me and was being racist to me by calling me a "Chinese motherfucker." Keep in mind the Japanese American Concentration Camps happened, the Holocaust happened, Anti-Asian Racism and Violence during the Pandemic, and I can speak German). read more

Barnes & Noble, Ulta, Whole Foods, and REI.. all in one location? Huntington Beach's Bella Terra is a parasite on my wallet. This outdoor shopping center houses a bit of everything. I've frequently visited to stock up on my favorite beautify items, furniture, home goods, outdoor gear, and books. Not only do they have your shopping needs covered, but Bella Tera also hosts a number of fantastic eateries. My favorites include: Puesto with their chef crafted tacos, Somi Somi with ice cream in their signature fish cone, and BuyTea for their wide assortment of bubble teas. Bella Tera is well manicured with a ton of greenery and an overall gorgeous atmosphere. There's a number of parking lots, so you won't struggle grabbing a spot. In the future I hope Bella Tera adds more small businesses. While it's nice to have all of your favorite stores in one place, I think a few local spots could really help spruce up the place and foster more Huntington Beach pride. read more

We've been visiting Bella Terra since it first opened in the early 2000's. So much has changed over the years, but we're happy to always see them improving the plaza. We are very pleased with the newly added food offerings here, as they have added Silverlake Ramen, Somi Somi, and Puesto. I personally used to frequent the movie theater here at least twice a week during my college days for matinee pricing. We honestly have nothing to complain about because we love Bella Terra. We've had some of our best dates here at Solita, King's Fish House, and Eureka! We'd recommend to anyone who is visiting the area. Parking can be messy during peak hours. We recommend parking in the structure for movies and out towards the World Market area or the Whole Foods area for extra parking. Barnes & Nobles can get a bit chaotic and it's usually hard to find a spot unless if you're here during off hours. read more

Sometimes parking is hard to find, but you can park inside the building structure. There's also an elevator inside the building parking structure. I used to go here a lot to watch movies and to get drinks/food! There's a ramen shop here that sells really good ramen and there's an arcade inside the movie theater. There's also a somi somi here that sells really delicious hot piping fish pastries. read more

Bella Terra is such a fun spot and there's literally so much to do, you can't possibly be here for just one day! Stores like Kohl's, Cost Plus, Burlington, Ulta, and Old Navy to name just a few. Then there's restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, Solita, MOD pizza, Island's, Kabuki, Puesto, Somi Somi, and the list goes on. There's even a theater and so many activities that go on in front of the theater on the lawn. There's so many other stores and restaurants but too many to list. Tons of parking available and there's even a Costco in the same plaza. Across the street there's even more stores and restaurants, and casual eateries. Perfect to go here just in time for Christmas shopping or just to hang out with friends or family. read more

I came for dinner and a concert. We ate at Puesto Mexican restaurant. I left them a 5 star review. Then we saw the free tribute concert for Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty. After she sang, they upped the volume very loud. Always carry ear plugs so you don't lose your hearing. I'm so glad I had mine. read more

Bella Terra in Huntington Beach is a scenic Mediterranean style outdoor shopping plaza with movie theater and restaurants. It features several big stores like Kohl's, Target, etc. We came here for dinner and ice cream in the courtyard. It was a pretty scenery with string lights and a nice grassy space in the center. Luckily, it was not crowded so we really enjoyed it. read more
