Hi end shopping place. I usually come here for the food and shopping. This place has coffee shop and brand names stores you can shop all day here. My favorite is the swiss chocolate store and the Le Shrimp Noodles House. It's pricey but worth it! Come check it out and bring your whole family and enjoy the trotting and photo shooting while windows shopping, you might find something when you least expected . It has a Carrousel on the first floor for kids to ride for a fee. Parking is usually available at different sides of the Mall. read more

Apparently coming in very casual clothes just for gelato then mall walking while admiring the shop displays is a highly suspicion activity as my husband and I were followed by multiple security guards- including one zealous guard that followed us down a floor and across the mall then walked up on us while we sat for a few minutes to play on our phones. I have never encountered this issue in the past as I have always dressed nicely when visiting this mall and we have always in the past planned visits around getting a meal or buying some things during our mall walking, but this time we didn't want to spend much money and didn't bother to dress up which ostensibly is a huge problem to South Coast Plaza security and seemed to put a target on us. Good forbid two people who don't look rich want to enjoy a beautiful air conditioned mall on a hot day. Let this be a warning to all that you should look rich and/or visibly be actively spending money here if you want to avoid being followed. read more

Honestly, South Coast Plaza is a bit overwhelming for me. However, my experiences here has always been pleasant. There are a plethora of stores from high-end to regular stores. Good restaurants in the mall itself and surrounding. There are valet options & self parking options. I work two exits away on MacArthur so it's convenient for me to come and there's a great selection of pretty much everything. Love the Skims store here. South coast plaza is a beautiful mall. I overheard someone saying it's the 4th largest mall in the US? It might be, but it's definitely one of the nicest. It's clean and bright. It has so many great stores from luxury brands to like little known brands and great restaurants. It has character. And it attracts a lot of people. We walked to the mall from the east side and there was a beautiful bridge leading to the entrance of the mall. There is even a carousel inside. There are plenty of maps and an info counter for people to help you. We ate dinner here and walked around for a bit. I was impressed. There are a lot of Asian restaurants and I wonder if they're trying to attract Asian customers. It's not like it's located in an Asian community, but I was happy to find out they had a din tai fung, a phoholic and other restaurants that have dim sum, boba, Korean food etc.--lots to choose from! read more

Since my high school days, this mall was one of the best in Southern California. Always clean and well maintained. I'm glad to see that it still is! Although, I don't come here often to shop, I still stop in here occasionally to get coffee at Starbucks. I feel that South Coast has a lot of stores that are not common to other shopping centers. Prior to Popmart opening in Cerritos, it was South Coast Plaza that was my go to stop for Popmart. It is also at this mall that I go for my Laderach chocolate fix. As a foodie, I love the abundance of restaurants here! Paradise Dynasty is an amazing spot for xiao long bao. I love that they have a Filipino fusion spot via Terrace by Mix Mix. Calo Kitchen is another favorite. Christmas time is always a good time to come because of all the beautiful decorations. During, the summer they also display creative can creations from the Canstruction OC benefiting the OC Food Bank! Whenever I come to South Coast Plaza, I am always amazed at how big it is and how so much there is to see! It's definitely one of my fave spots to visit when I'm in Costa Mesa. read more

Always such a beautiful mall to go to with so many different stores. There's ample parking even on a Sunday, which cannot be said about a lot of other malls! The workers are also nice, I saw one give a service dog sticker to someone so that their dog was easily identifiable. That's such a nice touch that I never would have thought of! The South Coast Plaza is a great indoor mall to window shop as they have every store imaginable to fit every budget. Every time I go I feel like they have a new art installation of some sort like a stamp collection from Asia or crystal exhibit from Baccarat or the latest which was Canstruction, a design build competition. There are two parts to the mall that are connected by a bridge. The second part of the mall is quieter with less people so I like to do my mall walking there. Parking is plentiful whether it be outside parking or covered parking. I've tried many of the restaurants in the mall and have not been disappointed yet. This is my go to mall in the area! read more

You are sure to find something you like here. I believe this is one of the biggest malls in Souther California. This is a going to hang out and kill time at mall at the OC. It's so high end that unless I get something from the other side of the mall connected by the bridge, I'm not buying anything at all. I think the level of bouginess can easily be gauged as this place doesn't have a set food court like other malls, but there are dining options like Din Tai Fung and fancier cafes. And I guess a small nook area with boba and some other sit down food, but not a food court as you know it. If you're a luxury lover, it'd be nice to dress up nicely to make sure you're not marked as a prole and see what the clothes, fabric, materials, purses, jewelry, bags etc look good on you in person. Other than that, it's quite nice during the Christmas season to see all of the decorations and the giant 3 story tree. It's also nicely decorated during Lunar New Year, so this gives you some photo ops. Fine place to kill some time. read more

I came here on a Tuesday afternoon just to walk around in it and eat at some places. There are a lot of luxury stores and restaurants to go to, and there are also two merry go rounds that almost always get busy. There are anchor tenants like Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue. There is a food court that is in Blommingdales on its southeast corner that includes restaurants like Pho Holic and Bruxie's. There is plenty of parking in the large parking lots and if you go here, you'll always find a parking spot for you, a friend, a family member, and/or both. Parking is usually crowded near the building but the vehicles dwindled as sunset and night approach. read more

Calling all the boujee baddies! This is the only high end mall in OC. This mall contains anything high end and more. This mall is also a very large mall with two stories and different wings. It can get overwhelming sometimes. There's plenty of parking lots and parking garages. Free! Finding a spot can be a challenge, especially during the weekend. It's extremely clean inside. I love visiting during the holidays because they go all out with the decor, especially during Christmas. It's a bit emptier during the weekdays but extremely crowded during the weekends. Great spot to bring your family, hangout with friends, or grab a bite to eat. As I mentioned before, this mall is huge. There's directories in almost every corner. The concierge is also very helpful with directions. They usually approach you if you look lost. There's security everywhere, so it seems safe. All workers in every store is also helpful. They always greet you once you enter and assist you with finding anything you're looking for. There's constant stores and restaurants opening and closing. The restaurants offered here are none like your usual mall. They have quick grab-n-go and sit down restaurants. New luxury brands are always popping up. This is a great mall for all things materialist. It does uphold the luxury feel. You can honestly spend a whole day here. read more

Lovely indoor mall offering many stores I like shopping from. The Tiffany's store here can service my jewelry while I shop their collection. Buchere's offers Rolex servicing, which I find useful and convenient. Love getting all my fragrance restocks at Saks as well as at Jo Malone. The latter allows you to get personalized engraving on the spot for free. So cool. The mall also just added Dior and Lacoste. And don't get me started on the eatery selection found in the Bloomingdales wing. So many good eats found there and much more elevated experience than many mall food court. Love Nagi over in the Crate and Barrel wing too. It also has a nice anthropologie store along with Lululemon, Apple Store, and William-Sonoma. Ugh. This place is a gem when you want to see gorgeous lunar new year decorations catering to the lavish spenders on luxury goods. I did come lunar new year week and this place was insanely packed. The wait in the food court was 30 minutes for Boba and I'll be honest, you can smell the body odor from people there. Wow what can I say about this mall that everyone has not already said? There are two sections of the mall: Jewel and Carousel Court; and the mall is 3 floors. The high-end section in Jewel Court are equipped with many well known stores such as Chanel, Hermes, Dior, Gucci, Tiffany Co, and so much more. Fun fact: The restrooms in this wing are pretty fancy and VERY clean. Some stores have a maximum occupancy so you may need to wait in line till the store clears up. To get to the other section of the mall, you will need to walk across The Bridge of Gardens which has some also cool stores such as Diesel, Vans, Bath and Body Works, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and so much more. I think it is really cool that they have some stores specific to what is needed, Pottery Barn has stores specific to baby, kids, teen, and home. You can basically find anything you need. Crate & barrel and H&M have similar stores that also cater to a certain market. Very smart indeed. A few of my favorite stores were Sur la Table and Pop Mart. It was my first time in both stores and they were fun and pretty cool. Sur has cooking classes which I would love to attend one of these days. Pop Mart had everything Labubu for all the people who love these modern Trollz lol. Overall great mall for shopping, eating, sightseeing (for those not from the area), and working out. Parking is always easy, even when it's busy. I also enjoy the beautiful cars on display--last time, they had amazing Aston Martins. We usually find great deals here during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, so it's perfect for holiday shopping. Came by South Coast today with the kids to cool down from the heat and to buy a couple of things. There are a lot of stores and department stores you can visit. Mall is kept clean. Restaurants like corner bakery and boudin have come and gone but they have vox kitchen, dim sum, and Ruby's to name a few restaurants inside the mall. South Coast Plaza is a gigantic mall with really high end store options. We went for Uniqlo the day before Christmas -- it was definitely overcrowded but there were a lot of Christmas decor. The large Christmas tree makes for a great photo op! There's also a little Christmas town with miniature trains and a vendor that sells floaty pet balloons. Note for disabled/handicapped access: coming from the north coast garage, when you use the elevator get off at the M level to get to the plaza. We accidentally got off at level 1 and had to take stairs up to get to the mall entrance. The inside is handicap accessible with ramps wherever there are stairs. There's also lots of spots to sit at. Signage for bathrooms near Uniqlo is pretty clear. However there's a secret "additional restrooms" area with minimal signage on the opposite side of the main restrooms that seemed much emptier. read more

We love South Coast Plaza. There are a lot of designer flagship stores that we can't afford but it's fun to window shop to check out the new styles and eat at the plethora of restaurants. If you're going to hit up Din Tai Fung, be prepared to wait. You can join the waiting list remotely via Yelp. Bloomingdales has an interesting food court that is worth checking out. Shopping is not completely impossible- there are places ppl can shop at. Uniqlo is one of our favorite spots to shop bc it's affordable and almost like a Japanese Gap - basics for everyone. Zara, Bath & Body Works, Ann Taylor, Anthropology, Urban Outfitters, Victoria Secret, etc. etc. Also, always loved Nordstrom. Service is generally A+. It's nice being able to go to a mall. There's not many left anymore. It's to bad they only cater to those with fat wallets. I haven't been here in a long time. I remember the old days with the food court and stores I could afford. Now it's the very high-end stores. One even had an armed guard at the door. HANDICAP PARKING VIOLATIONS AT SOUTH COAST PLAZA This review is specifically directed to all Parking Enforcement Officers at South Coast Plaza. There is a small section of handicap parking right in front of Din Tai Fung designed for older and medically disabled folks who need the spots. With the holidays approaching, there are more and more cars WITHOUT HANDICAP PLACARDS nor license plate handicap stickers who refuse to move their cars when handicap folks like me ask them to move. Most of these entitled people are delivery drivers and regular folks who just happen to be shockingly inconsiderate and rude. There are evenings when I see the parking enforcement officers in their pickup trucks or bikes drive past these cars and don't ticket or at least reprimand them. Why is that? And by the way, some of these drivers WITHOUT HANDICAP PLACARDS sit in their cars and get on their phone for 30-45 minutes. South Coast Plaza Management, I hope you do something about this because I feel bad for other seniors like me who are in worse conditions and can't walk too far yet are still semi-mobile.
