Portion sizes are HUGE! We initially went here just for a snack, we were looking more so for fruit in a cup or corn in a cup because we had dinner reservations for later in the day. The meat market workers at the store by Cicis told us to come here. I ended up ordering a tamale and a beef burrito. The waitress were eager to take our orders and the food came out fast. I was NOT expecting our food to be so huge and delicious. The food was def worth the price, which was very reasonable when you consider the portion sizes. We had to end up cancelling our dinner reservation because the tamale I received was sooo huge and I got full so fast. I can officially be happy with my move from Louisiana. This place is legit and a great hole-in-the-wall spot located in the back of a Hispanic grocery store and meat market. I knew this would be the spot because you had all different types of people dinning and if you don't speak Spanish you'll still feel right at home!First, don't be like me and order lots of food because portions are huge. I ordered a taco plate that came with three tacos, rice and beans, two hot tamales wrapped in banana leaves, a chicken quesadilla, and horchata. I ordered steak and chicken tacos with my plate and there was tons of meat on my tacos. The only complaint I have is my corn tortillas were left on the grill too long and the beans had no flavor. They also make their own salsa verde and it is everything! My boyfriend enjoyed his quesadilla and he doesn't really eat Mexican food. Let's talk tamales, y'all I ordered two and one is an entire meal. The best tamales are wrapped in banana leaves and these were. The masa by itself was so delicious and they were full of chicken. Have been to this location many times. Last night was not a good experience. Very slow service even though not crowded. Probably caused by wait staff shortage. Salsa was terrible. We asked for a replacement bowl but was told it was all like that. Whoever made it did not know how to prepare properly. One member of our party got flaunts but they were fried so crisp that they were inedible. One member of our party paid with cash. After the payment they were told that you only get paper bills back. All the tickets are rounded up to the next dollar. This would have been nice information to have prior to payment. I don't think we'll be returning for a while. ITS SO BOMB ! So first let me start by saying call ahead cause it's just easier and even if the line is busy ... wait like 4 minutes then call back. Lol they may have someone else take the order cause my Spanish isn't so great so just be patient ! So I'm late on this review because I've eaten there 5 times since this picture lol 5 times y'all!!! Anyways let me start with location, if you're on this side of town it's a must stop because the grocery store it's in literally has everything you could want to plan a real fiesta for the weekend. Then let's get to the prices , I have ate many tacos and I swear this is the best bag for your bucks and I wouldn't go anywhere else on this side. So it takes maybe 10-15 minutes to get your order then you go to the back of the store and they call your name and give you payment slip. Once you get payment slip you give to register girl , and boom you're done!! Oh and don't forget to ask them for hot sauce and green sauce in the fridge! Lol I have had the chicken burrito but I get no avocado and extra lettuce instead , I order the carne asada tacos (steak) and chicken tacos, but I get them with flour tortillas because I prefer that. Then a side of rice and beans separately. The tacos are Devine, Just good meat with cilantro and fresh white onions like I'm in California at a truck! The rice is really good to me I actually add a fork full in my tacos occasionally then the beans come with some fresh tortilla chips and cheese on top. Kinda weird at first but once you dip and eat it's amazing ! Now the salsas are HOT AF! Lol but I'm about 7 months pregnant so I enjoy the spice! But all in all location is authentic, Food is great for price and I always eat for two days off the tacos plus sides for sure! They reheat in the oven perfect so it's worth it. If I get like 2 steak tacos,1 chicken with sides it's about 14.00. Burrito with 4 tacos about 20.00 but well worth it. I've eaten at several Mexican restaurants since living in Atlanta and have been greatly disappointed in the food. That was until I found Bella Vista. The dining area and food preparation is located in the back of the grocery market. The menu has all the dishes I'm remembered eating in California, and so far I haven't been disappointed. the lengua tacos are especially good. Truly fantastic food. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had in GA. The the meat was well prepared and portions were super generous. The Tamales are huge and so flavorful. We left with enough food for an entire meal. The waitress was super nice and helpful too, her recommendations were fantastic as well. My only complaint was the carne asada was very tough and over cooked, but my child seemed to enjoy it that way so, but for me it was tough. We will be back soon. The restaurant has some delicious offerings. So it disappoints me that I will not be able to return. Consistency is key. I've patronized this restaurant for a few years now, but today's experience left me feeling disgusted. I placed my to-go order while in line and attempted to pre-pay since I made it to the register prior to my order coming up. I was told with a smile by the cashier "I do not know what you ordered." and then she proceeded to cash out the next customer. So I stepped to the side. A large menu with my fave Mexican shrimp cocktail which is hard to find in a place like this. Loaded with huge shrimp and avocado a large is a multi serving masterpiece.
