During yesterdays fake winter weather we stopped by here because it was the only spot open and it was so worth it! The bartender did not disappoint with the drinks and the food was excellent! Second time going here, and my thoughts havent really changed. Fun and chill spot to hang out and get some food. Large parking lot, but be cautious it's not evenly paved. It's pretty busy in there. Stopped in Snellville to visit my oldest brother and his wife! I wanted some authentic Mexican food and my sister in law suggested this restaurant. Me, my Sissy in law and her bestie pulled up for lunch. The server was Ramon and he provided excellent service! I ordered a Veggie quesadilla, so good and my sis in law ordered a meat quesadilla and we all ordered a guava margarita, sooo good! They give you plenty of food and we both took some home! I came in expecting a good experience based on reviews...strong drinks, large portions, and a great atmosphere. I walked in and sat at the bar, and within minutes I was completely turned off. Without exaggeration, this was one of the dirtiest bars I've seen. Margarita mix was being poured from reused plastic jars, and the margarita machine was being filled using liquid from a large plastic container that had been sitting on the floor behind the bar with no lid. The back counter area was cluttered with wash buckets, dirty towels, dirty glasses, and straws. What bothered me most was the lack of basic sanitation. The stirring spoons were being kept in a container of water that looked contaminated with drink mixture. I watched the bartender grab a spoon, mix a drink, not rinse it off, and put it right back into the same dirty water to be used again. All of this was happening right in front of me. I stayed for about five minutes and had to walk out. Strong drinks and big portions should not outweigh cleanliness and safety. I personally won't be returning. read more

The Staff: We usually get our food to-go, but we ate inside once recently and the staff were all nice. The Parking: Huge free parking lot! The Atmosphere: it's your typical Mexican restaurant vibe. They have music playing as well as TV's showing sports by the bar. The Food: We always get the Fajita Trio for two! Amazing! You get so much for such a good price. Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp! Service is fast and friendly. BUT - restaurant stinks, literally. Some antiseptic or cleaner they use all over the place really is a stringent and makes my nose pucker every time I come in. I went to this place today after a few discussions with the staff about making me Carne Asada fries and they delivered. I love the staff. I love the drinks and I love the food you must visit. Although this isn't necessarily on the menu, they made it for me. It was the chorizo fries substituted with Carne Asada so amazing. My recommendation is to order extra pico de gallo. read more

I would give one star due to the to-go male worker (wish I had got his name...I would have mentioned him personally) that helped me and his TERRIBLE attitude, but I have been going to this restaurant for so long that. I placed an to go order for carne asada tacos, and if you have been to this restaurant before you know they give you a lot food for the tacos and sides. As I was placing the order on the phone, I informed the to-go worker that I wanted ALOT of limes in the bag bc I was sharing the food. He told me ok, it will be in the bag. When I came to pick up my food shortly after, I paid and TIPPED (wish I didn't with his attitude) the to-go worker. Before I left he informed me that it was only 1 lime in the bag. I politely asked the to-go worker if I could get another lime , and he gave me the most craziest look for asking for another lime. He went to the bar that is right across from the to-go station to give me a lime , and when he returned he had the lime wrapped in a napkin. When I asked for a container to put the limes in ...which I thought would have been common sense to do anyway. He again gave me craziest look like I was bothering him for doing his job. Another worker noticed what was going on and I informed him of the situation and the worker just laughed it off. When the to-go worker returned, instead of giving me a container that I asked for, he came back with aluminum foil for me to wrapped it in . It has a nice small, homey neighborhood feel to it and a health score of an A. We were seated right away. The menu is extensive, with plenty of options. I ordered the chimichangas. I've had better, but they were still good. My companion ordered the quesadilla fajita Texana. It looked DELICIOUS. He confirmed that it indeed was! We enjoy coming here. Good size portions & good service. Place is almost always very busy. We start with queso every time; the regular size is much larger than other Mexican restaurants. I always get a combination meal. Those are currently $10.95. All other dishes that I saw are more expensive. I'm not sure if they have a lunch menu or not. We'll return for sure. This is Tex Mex at best but the answer the phone in Spanish to make you think it's authentic. They use yellow shredded cheese for the tacos. They also charge you $2 for the green and red sauce that comes with tacos at every other authentic Mexican restaurant. The rice is so salty and so is the ground beef. The inside is traditional but I was doing a carry out order so I can't really say what the restrooms or dining area truly looked like. My chimichangas were okay but the faux was turning brown and they put lettuce on top of the hot cheese which made it wilt. Overall they are getting over on the people of Snellville that have never been to Mexico or lived on the west coast like myself. This is Texas raised 3rd generation Mexican food at best. There is no Abuela that passed these recipes down from Mexico. I won't be back. read more
