Just because the urge for more Bella Vista took over, we called in another take out order this week. The entree's that we ordered this trip was the Spicy Pork Burrito (al Pastor) for me and my wife had the Grilled Shrimp (Camarones a la Plancha) plate. The shrimp are just as they were with the shrimp quesadillas....huge, grilled perfectly and spiced jussssst right! My trial with the BV2 spicy port burrito is that the wrapped burrito had some serious weight to it...and not unlike a 1 pound bag of flour in dimensions. The sides on the shrimp plate were sufficient enough to share that evening as well as BV2 leftovers the next day!! There are two sauces that come in small containers...the verde' sauce and some tomato based napalm that will LIGHT YOU UP.....so use caution and taste FIRST before splashing it on any food. Authentic and unique. I enjoy wandering past the glass enclosed butchery to the pick up station as well while waiting for my order, shopping the Mexican products on all of the grocery shelving can help you break the habit of buying ethnic foods on the aisle in a big box grocery. The restaurant portion looked bigger with more tables than my first visit, but definitely a good place to try out the foods as well as watch the scenery. I believe our next trip will be a table so the lady of the house can experience what I've found in my efforts as her delivery service. I had the opportunities to spend time in Zitacuaro (Michoacan) Mexico that involved being invited to spend the afternoon watching the scenery of the little city and the foot traffic as well as the very nice, earnestly polite and all business members of the community. I felt right back in that semi-rural area some 2.5 hours due west of Mexico City....it was just authentic and friendly. I look forward to Bella Vista II growing....but for the time being, I'm happy with the food and authentic café in a minor traffic route. My sister had told me about this place and I said "I must try it". It's located in an area that looks kind of dingy but honestly I think that's where the best places are. First off, this is a grocery store with cafe in the back of the store. It's located in a semi-deserted and run down plaza. Bella Vista is located near the flooring stores which has a large sign. When you walk in you'll enter into the market. Walk to the back to order food. It's larger than I expected. There are about 10 four-seater tables. I placed my order at the counter and had a seat but if you're dining in you can just have a seat and someone will come take your order. I ordered the two taco combo - 1 with steak and 1 with chicken, with chips and guacamole. Let's me say - wow! So much food, fresh, and great taste. I love tacos that come on corn tortillas. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas with your choice of meat, cilantro, and onions. They don't skimp on the meat. I had to eat some off before I could fold up my taco. Taste was great! Not over seasoned. The flavors came from the meat itself plus toppings. They have offer two types of sauce - green chili and spicy. The combo comes with rice an beans. Guacamole was so freshly made. You can tell there wasn't any pre mixes. It was just avocado, tomato, onion and cilantro. My entire meal was big enough for two. I couldn't finish it all. Come with a friend or come with an appetite! There is beverage cooler near one of the tables where you can choose from a variety of drinks. This place is very causal and no frills, just great food. The service was excellent. Server came by a few times to ask if everything was good. Server speaks English and Spanish. The market seems to have a big selection of fresh cut meats. I checked out the ice cream box on the way out and got myself a mango popsicle. Yum! It reminded me of the Korean Melona bars. Creamy sweet goodness. Perfect way to end a delicious meal. The tacos were very flavorful and the portion of meat was very generous. The pork was a bit fatty but the others were very good. Also had a "sope" and that too was good. The only thing that could Improve is the check out process. It gets crowded and the line gets long otherwise the food certainly left us feeling really satisfied.
