I came here based on a recommendation by a friend! The street is extremely busy especially if you come during the weekend so parking will be a bit difficult to find. I booked an appointment with Stephanie since my friend recommended her, but after I arrived, I saw Stephanie was still working with another client. The receptionist didn't give me an ETA on how long the wait will be - just told me to sit down and wait. I waited for about 30 minutes and saw that Stephanie was still working on her client and not close to being finished. I think this is quite disappointing especially since I booked an appointment previously and arrived on time. I get the push back if previous clients arrive later than their scheduled appointment, but it causes a domino effect for the later clients. Some people just don't have an extra hour floating around to wait for their haircut- that's why we book our haircuts in advance. As this was my first time coming here, it was quite a bad first impression in terms of timing. I eventually got my haircut done by Natalia who was amazing and super attentive. She was very detail oriented and made sure that my cut was even on both sides. I also showed her pictures for reference and she met every bit of expectations I had. I trusted her on the length of my hair and bangs based on what she thinks would look best on me, and she didn't let me down. I loved my haircut - I was going for a completely different style than I was used to so I was nervous, but Natalia did such a great job with the cut. Overall, my experience with Natalia was lovely, I was genuinely happy with her attentiveness and professionalism. I understand that weekends are busy for them, but there really is no point of an appointment if I'm not going to get my haircut on time or even within 30 minutes of waiting. The stylist did a great job with the hair coloring however the haircut wasn't what i wanted. I tried to explain to Mike what I wanted and he walked away and said "i wont be the one cutting your hair". He could've listened to what i wanted and translated with the older lady hair stylist but chose not to. After reading the great reviews on yelp I decided to give this place a try. I called and requested some information on price, availability etc. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and answered all my questions. When I walked in a nice lady (Stephanie) greeted me and immediately took my daughter to wash her hair. My 7 year old loved how gentle she was. After the hair wash, I showed her a few pictures of how I wanted her hair to be (a long bob) wow! I was super impressed by the amazing cut she gave my daughter. She was meticulous and gave aher a great blow out. She also worked on my 3 year old's first haircut. My daughter has been adamant about NOT cutting her long locks. Stephanie was patient and gentle with her the entire time. She recommended giving her some layers and keeping her hair long. My 3 year old loved the outcome! It's the NYC top salon experience without having to pay a NYC rent. Mike is AMAZING! He brought my dreams to reality today. At my consultation, he listened carefully to what I wanted and made recommendations based on my hair. Asian hair is not easy to work with, let alone Asian hair that's undergone bleaching twice already. The day of, Mike accommodated everything I was requesting. I got the worst haircut ever at this salon. I came in with long hair but wanted to get shoulder length hair and asked for some layers. The Hispanic woman in this salon cut my hair and left it looking like a disaster. I had to come back to get it "fixed" by someone else but it still looks terrible. It was very obvious to them that the cut was horrible since they saw it but didn't even offer giving a refund for such a terrible cut. Im waiting for my hair to grow long enough to get a PROPER cut elsewhere. Save your money and go to someone who you TRUST with your hair. I'm never coming back here again. Michael took time to understand what I like and what will suit my face - cut. He did the cut in steps while evaluating the outcome after every major move on my hair. I was able to get a saw day appt for base color, toner refresh on the bottoms of my hair and a couple of foils for face framing highlights. I was there for about 3 hours or so on a Saturday which I have to say is not bad. The place is busy! Full service - men's and women's hair salon with threading available. I mean... I'll be here for a long while ladies! I fully recommend it. The two stylists, Michael and Stefany speak hair. They can offer valuable suggestions about your requested look. They are honest about what will work or not... they will cut only what you ask! 1/2 inch means 1/2 inch trim. I have long hair and even though cutting more than the inch I asked for wouldn't have looked terrible... they still did what I requested. They clearly know what they're doing when it comes to hair. Found this salon on yelp. Mike is the best! She did my mom's hair color, and it was amazing! Going back there next Saturday for a balayage. Will post pic of that once done :) Shekieta did my nails, and she's amazing as well! Looks like i have a new place to go for my nails and hair. So updated review: Had my balayage hair finally done. Took about 4 hours supposed to be 3 but i asked him to darken it some more, so took another hour to do that. Service is great, I'm satisfied with my hair. Added pics of the result. This is a great place to have hair and nails done definitely without breaking the bank. Take note tho if you have your hair blow out after coloring, it'll be an extra $25. read more

I live around the area and I usually pay no attention to the places around me. Buy I walked in at this salon to make an appointment. I wanted to to light for summer but I had pitch black hair. See, I know hair myself and just having a convo with Mike, I knew I'll be in good hands. On the day of the appointment, it was busy so Ana ended up doing my hair. She was really careful not to damage my healthy hair so I went light in 2 sessions. I love my new hair! Mike and Ana are skilled hair stylists! Whether it haircut or hair color you're going in for, they got you covered. I also got a full body each from there. Uhm, my skin is extra sensitive that my back and arm broke out. Also, the Brazilian is a pain because they do not use dry wax. They use sticky wax and cloth to pull, which isn't advised for any areas with thin skin. By far one of the best decisions I made was to walk into this hair salon. The other was to chop off all my damaged hair from years of extreme dyeing from blonde to red to brown to black and even green. My hair was literally hay texture at the ends and the damage kept creeping up no matter how many treatments or frequent trims. Michael. Michael with the magic hands. Second time going here for a women's haircut. I usually just do a simple trim so I can't speak on anything more complicated than that like layers etc. I'm always in and out within 30-40 minutes and happy with the trim as well as the price. I have had about 4 haircuts here and had a previous review up which gave 5 stars so why the change? Well I do have to say that my last haircut did leave me a little concerned about the cleanliness of the equipment used. I do notice that the electric razor does not appear to be cleaned between cuts. My last haircut I think I received a small cut on the back of my neck which became very red and irritated. Now I do like the haircuts I receive here and the stylist is very personable so I will give them another chance. However I do advise them to pay more attention to the sterility of the equipment as this seems to also have been a problem for another reviewer on here so I can't see it as an isolated incident. This could lead to serious issues down the road. I do have pics of the back of my scalp which I will share if requested. read more

It seems like this place gets rave reviews for their hair styling. I didn't get my hair done but I got to witness a few clients walk in and leave with absolutely fabulous hair. I went in for a mani/pedi and decided to add on a facial! I didn't need an appointment. The facial was Everything!! She took her time and made sure she got every possible extraction. I may or may not have cried a few times but hey, Beauty is Pain. It had been quite a while since my last facial so my skin was in desperate need of attention. My face felt so clean and smooth afterwards. The mani/pedi however was disappointing. She was extremely rough around my cuticles and clipped the skin so deep that it burned. Also when polishing she didn't cover the entire nail. After she finished, it literally looked like my nails had already grown out for a week and the polish started chipping within a few hours. Went to this salon since it was near me and they accepted walk ins. The salon is clean and everyone is very nice. I wasn't too happy with my haircut. I had asked to get 8 inches cut off and layers. The lady who cut my hair was sweet but it was so uneven. The left side was two inches longer than the right side. And the layers were choppy and not blended in. read more
