In addition, there is a truly difficult issue that has remained unresolved for many years, and this issue stems from some of the residents living in this building. There is one very unpleasant and unhygienic issue here. Some residents do not clean up after their dogs, especially in the dog park, which is heavily littered with dog waste. Every time we bring our dog here, we have to clean up at least 7-10 piles of feces to prevent our dog from stepping in it and bringing it home, even though I always clean their paws after going outside. This situation has made me no longer want to visit the dog park, as it is dirty and foul-smelling, and most importantly, I constantly have to clean up after others. This dog park is no longer a place for dogs to run and play, but has instead become a dumping ground for dog waste. I hope the building owner can take steps to ensure that residents take responsibility for cleaning up after their dogs, so the dog park can remain clean and enjoyable. This park was an important reason why we decided to move here eight years ago. However, since moving in, I have often found myself cleaning up dog waste left by other people, both on the lawn in front of our home and in the dog park. As most renter's you will experience problems within your dwelling, I can honestly say in my past Rental history workorders can go on deaf ears more times than I care to explain I find myself setting up a 2nd sometimes a 3rd workorder before the problem is addressed. With Elisa you will notice a response almost immediately, if not within hours of presenting for sure the next day. She is the best manager experience I've ever lived under wish I could take her with me if and when I'm ready for relocate. Never have I had a manager take the time to call and give me updates if the schedule she promises doesn't go as planned. I'll start from the beginning! Late December in 2019, my…read moreboyfriend and I were looking for our first apartment together, and we found Creekwood Villas by chance. We decided to drop by and immediately felt safe when we saw another young couple moving in, and a couple of children playing in the lawn areas of the complex. The assistant manager at the time was very friendly and showed us the apartment that was ready to move into, ready as is. New crown moulding, and cleaned carpet. We fell in love and got everything ready with the application and fees the next day. Moving day came in January, and the winter was pretty chilly for me since it was a single-pane window at the time (my boyfriend slept like a baby though. He likes the cold lol). 6 months later, and I'm still in love with this place. It's getting hotter, but shading the patio and managing air flow is helping since summer is coming and we don't have AC. I see other apartment have AC units in the window, so it's definitely an option if someone needs the temperature regulation. Management is always on top of notifying residents on changes via email and sometimes paper notices, in case there's issues that need immediate attention, like the recent double-pane window installations. Laundry room was recently upgraded to industry-power MAYTAG machines, and residents have been fairly good about keeping their distances due to Covid-19. Maintenance teams are always seen, always friendly. There's weekly, if not monthly, landscaping and/or maintenance to the amenities to keep the place looking fresh. Every apartment comes with 2 parking permits to park in the immediate parking area surrounding the apartments (no extra fee for the covered parking first come first serve), and then there's additional visitor parking marked on the east side and on the road. If you're looking for a completely quiet neighborhood, this ain't it. There's families everywhere with children playing every weekend, along with families and people in general holding family/friend gatherings, BBQs, parties, etc. at least once a month. Nothing unreasonable, but definitely not COMPLETE silence if someone is looking for that in a complex. There is loud revving sometimes in the wee hours of the night, most likely from racers on Oceanside Blvd, but doesn't really bother me since I'm usually asleep at that time. Only hear it when I'm up getting water or taking a whizz. Fireworks will also go off sometimes in the complex next door lol! It's pretty lively here, all things considered. A safe, family friendly neighborhood! The ducks and ducklings in the creek, ambient birds in the morning, the bridge strolls to my car, are the absolute sprinkles on top of everything. This place really set a standard for other apartment complexes in the area. Worth every penny for location, management, and ambience. :)

The grounds are well kept, and it could truly be a wonderful living experience. Unfortunately, the management office (Monica) significantly detracts from that experience. Monica present with a significant lack of customer service skills. She is inconsistent with whom she enforces the terms of the leasing contract and she herself does not abide by them. Interactions with office staff have often felt rude, dismissive, petty, and unnecessarily condescending. Rather than feeling supported as a resident, I've frequently felt talked down to and ignored when trying to address concerns professionally. The most frustrating part is the apparent lack of any clear avenue for resolution or accountability beyond the onsite office. Attempts to escalate concerns or request assistance through a higher level of management have not been productive. It's disappointing because the property itself deserves much better management and resident relations than what is currently being provided.

Drag racing all hours but all night long it's the loudest. Apt complex is small but lots of up and down hills, so plan to drive your laundry to the building. Also online says 24-7, that's not true, it's 9-10 or possibly 8-10 only. Most walk ways and roads are sloped and not even so caution if you are walking the complex. Only one tiny park and past age 5 I'm pretty sure kids wouldn't enjoy it. But toddlers might enjoy it. It's super tricky to leave because of traffic and going south you'll need to go north and do a u turn. Getting past these things it seems a decent place to rent. Cesar left us with a good impression, polite, showed us around. I was looking for ground level apt, laundry in apt or near apt, and a pool and this place had one apt like that available. (None have washer dryer hookups but laundry was near this apt that was available). So we applied. $150 to apply. Non refundable. Thankfully we were first in line for this apt. Be prepared for it to take minimum of two weeks to go through the process. We passed all the requirements and he appreciated we have 750+ and 783, etc. You only need a 620 to be approved. We have perfect rental history. Never late on any payments ever. We met the income requirement. We were approved but it must then go through corporate. So we waited longer. Then we are told we weren't approved because corporate doesn't think we are a good match for their community. We've never heard of anything like this. We asked for further clarification and we were told the same statement. We were told to call a number to talk with corporate. We called and it goes straight to a recording and it's an odd echo bathroom sounding recording that did not sound professional at all, but it was corporate. We left our info and no call back. To date no response and no one will answer. It's out of Cesar's hands. He was confident we'd be moving in. We are more than qualified. I've been told places do this to pocket all the applications. We were first in line and met all the criteria. I thought that was a good thing to be first in line. Another family was in line for the apt, so if this is the case that's sadly common in California, then they got to pocket our $150 and move on to them. Some places have 40 applicants and first 30 get denied, they pocket all those fees paid and accept the others. It's sad that this is happening. And reality is, we qualified, was told we qualify and was still rejected and our $150 was pocketed by the apt complex and they moved on to the next family. On the bright side, Now that we've heard stories of the traffic and loud racing every single night there (go at night and witness it. It's so loud and trucks and cars race all night to the early am hours) and not having heat in bathrooms etc. Only having it in bedroom. And the other hiccups, stinks to of lost $150 to corporate greed but glad to have avoided these other things.

They are currently cutting them all down and now we have no shade and the landscape looks boring and drab with only small palm trees and cactuses. The gate doesn't always close often which kind of defeats the purpose and the one other thing we could live without is the yearly walk throughs of the apartments. We just haven't had that anywhere else and like to have our privacy but I guess we get it for fire safety. The apartments are pretty modern, all wood floor, but we kinda wish the bedrooms had carpet for comfort. The water heaters aren't very large and are still gas which makes the SDGE bill larger than other apartments with electric heaters. Animals over 25 lbs aren't allowed even though the apartments are spacious. The laundry room takes a card or phone app which is pretty nice in our opinion and we do like the kitchen amenities in the unit. There is barely any guest parking and it gets taken up often by people who live here already. Rent autos to month to month once you've been here for 6 months. Just some things to note if you are moving in. I guess everywhere has pros and cons.

It should be the other way around, rewarding good tenants that pay on time every month, rather than punishing them with a higher rate for staying. They would rather have an empty unit than keep an existing tenant, though. Also, the neighborhood and pool are full of kids that are incredibly loud. If you live near the pool, it's obnoxiously loud during warmer months when almost every night there is some kind of party or gathering down there with music blaring and loud people drinking. There is little to no privacy, and the units are frankly overpriced. You can find something better elsewhere for the same price or less. The maintenance guys are nice and do a good job, though.

We are under staffed can't help The security company is non-existent so you need to call the police for even noise complaints, and for that they leave you on hold for 45 minutes here. The gates are always jammed open. And my truck was damaged in the parking lot the first day that I got it, I asked if they had any cameras, of course they don't. It looks like a beautiful community, just in a very bad part of town, it's not worth it. I must now seriously consider the fact that to be safe in this community I have to buy my own guns and be ready to use them literally at my front door. This is ridiculous
