It was a last minute decision to grab a sub. We bought the full size house special and it was more than my wife and I could eat. Two of us almost had two meals each for $17.00. That's a deal! One of the first things you look for when you move to a new city is a decent place to get a slice of pie. My family does not prefer large chain pizza and is not fooled by the cheap pizza movement these chains seem to promote. We prefer smaller places and shop at the Publix next door to this place so of course we had to stop in and check them out. What we mainly look for in a pizza is fresh made dough, decent sauce, melty cheese with a decent cheese pull and fresh toppings. The first time we try a place we will usually order a pizza and either a calzone or baked sub to see the quality of a couple menu items. On this stop we ordered a 16" Super , a Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich and a personal pepperoni (for my youngest). Honestly the pizza itself would be deserving of a three star rating and maybe a bit more for the rest food overall. Not bad, average (perhaps a little above average) but nothing to write home about. They almost got a two star due to the fact that I reserve a true hatred for round pizza that is cut into squares. Certain slices have no crust , the center slices get soggy and near inedible. This pizza was no exception. Don't get me wrong, the overall flavor of the pizza I would say is slightly above average, good even.... but soggy slices that are almost impossible to pick up was a detriment to the overall experience. Where they earned their third star was the service. The restaurant was clean as were the tables. The counter workers were helpful and readily offered suggestions on what to try for our first visit. One redeeming quality in particular was the service provided by a young man, I believe they called him Ryan. The 14 year old was friendly, prompt and seemed to take his job very seriously. To see a kid that age working hard for his money while carrying himself in a polite and friendly manner, especially in this day and age stood out to not only my wife and I, but to our two teenage daughters. To summarize, the place is certainly worth another try, so we will stopping back soon. I will request the pizza be cut into triangles and see what they say. The place is clean, the staff is on point and the overall experience was so close, that I would love to give them four stars. We will see if my next visit makes that a possibility. Normally is very good but tonight it seems as though they gave me a pepperoni pizza that had been sitting around for a while instead of a fresh one. Also the garlic cheese bread was different and made from a sub sandwich bun instead of pizza dough like it normally is. Who ever is making your food tonight should be fired. The person doing it two weeks ago was way better. You should really take this seriously right now. You can't afford to be lazy and half hearted with your offerings right now. Serving stale old reheated pizza is probably a terrible way to get anyone to come back. The sad part is I know your usual quality and it's usually 5 star. Fire who ever is working tonight they are going to ruin your business! I ordered to go May 1st so you know the date. read more

There was 1 person in line in front of us. His order of 1 pizza & 1 sandwich required 9 minutes to complete. We could not figure out what was happening until it was our turn to order. Our order of 1 pizza & 1 sandwich also required about the same amount of time and all we asked for was no mushrooms on our pizza. Then she gave us the total and it was clearly wrong. When we asked, the entire order was entered again with a new total that was still too much but we could not take the heat of the kitchen any longer so we agreed, paid and went to sit down. If you have never dined on one of Bellacino's "grinders" (a fancy name for their submarine sandwiches), you are in for a yummy surprise. I was expecting something akin to an experience I'd have at Subway or Quizno's. Wow - my expectations were exceeded in a taste bud tantalizing way! As a part of a large party of twelve at lunch time, we ordered all sorts of different grinders, some lasagna and a pizza for the kids at the counter. About 10 minutes later the bounty started descending upon our table. As a member of the male gender, I'm aware that we have nearly a universal tendency to exaggerate dimensions associated with length. Accustomed as I am to the 6" fare provided by most sub shops, I was dumbfounded when a half grinder was placed in front of me. My immediate response was, "That's the biggest 6" sub I've ever seen!" I only learned later that they advertise their half length sandwiches as "approx. 9 in" but at at a similar price as Subway or Quizno's! My oven baked Chicago steak grinder was slavered with mushrooms, onions, cheese and a tasty garlic spread. It was the best sub I've had in a very long time. I also sampled one of their crab and seafood grinders and was equally impressed. This place is the real deal both in terms of quality and quantity and, at less than $6 for a half grinder, your wallet will love you too. Bellacino's is a chain that started in Michigan and now also has franchises in over a dozen other states. I sure wish they'd set up shop down in Houston where I live. If you visit this Bellacino's be aware that they do NOT accept cash. This is because of the tragic shooting deaths of two employees at another Nashville area location during a robbery in October of 2007. They are making the work environment safer for their employees by having no cash on the premises. read more

It is very hard to find decent pizza in Nashville metro. I am a fan of this pizza because its thing like NY style and cut in squares like Chicago. Eh. Rule #1 - Do not claim to have "Chicago Style" items on the menu if you are a chain in Nashville serving American fast-food Italian. I changed my order from a beef sandwich to a meatball sandwich. However, I ended up getting the beef sandwich (the cashier's mistake). There was lettuce and tomato on the sandwich w/ about two pieces of roast beef. It was a far cry from a real Italian beef. Lastly, the slice of pickle on the side was disgusting. Bellacino's is... interesting? I mean, it's not gross. It's got a decent flavor and it's relatively inexpensive, but it's odd. The sauce is oddly sweet, as is the crust. It's generally subtle, but every now and then, you get that sense of sweetness. I got it delivered, and it was kind of slow. I don't like getting delivery because I can usually order pizza, drive to the restaurant, pick it up, and be home with the pizza faster than it can be delivered. This is no different. I only did because my wife has the car for the night. Like I said, it's all right. But for the quality, I'll probably go back to Little Caesars. read more

Bellacinos was a great choice for a Friday night. We ordered two pizzas that were phenomenal. If you like square cut pizza, you'll love this place! The most memorable were the cinnamon sticks, I would recommend them to anyone who visits. We tried the baked fries--I would advise asking for them well done, they were tasty but thick cut which made them soft. Ordered pizza, drinks and several other items online be delivered. Told it would be 40 minutes to an hour. Fair enough. After an hour and a half still hadn't received food. Made attempt to call restaurant several times but no one answered. Texted to see if they were lost. No reply. I got on lie to chat with a rep who told me the order had been delivered 1/2 hour before. I said I would like to know who paid $40 cash for items they never ordered. After arguing with him for 15 minutes he called the store. (Obviously a magic number since he was able to get through) He said their system mistakenly showed the order had been delivered when in fact it hadn't. He said someone would be out within 10 minutes. So all of a sudden they can deliver an order that had already been delivered within 10 minutes. An hour past when it should have been delivered. We live in a cul de sac with two other houses and I see a car going round and round and he obviously doesn't know where he is going even though the address was on the mailbox. I come out and the guy figures out he needs to come down the driveway to the house. I asked why no one answers the phone at the restaurant and in a surly voice he says "They are really busy". Great customer service. On top of that the pizza was mediocre. Cold with about five pieces of pepperoni on it. Overall absolutely horrible experience. read more

Huge disappointment. It took 10 minutes to place a relatively simple order (a medium pizza and a club sandwich) and then we waited another 20 minutes for our food. I've tried the thin crust and thick crust pizza or I guess it's called the regular Crust Pizza... It's just not good... I'm never able to eat more than a couple of slices and they slap on so much sauce it's unbelievable. I've even ask them to go light on the sauce and it came with the same amount of sauce. I'm done trying and will not be back but it's not the worst Pizza I've ever had, hence they get 2 Stars instead of one. read more
