Egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms and bell peppers with a salad

This is such a cute little place. Often top of the list for brunch choice, be it with family or friends. The location is central and convenient from any neighbourhood downtown. The staff is friendly. The food is very good (I only ever come here for brunch, so I've not experienced their dinner menu.) And they have a very cute patio for Summer days. They can sometimes be a bit slow, but it's not a problem for a leisurely enjoyable brunch in a cute location. I wouldn't plan to come here if I was in a rush, but that's easily avoidable and a non-issue for me, personally.

The food has been consistently delicious each time I have been. This time, I had the Salmon Croissant, which was freshly baked, and the tops were tasty. The ambiance was relaxing, with good ambiance music playing, and the service was good, friendly, and quick. Bellagio Cafe is an excellent choice if you want a relaxing start to your day.

My team planned a breakfast meeting and our co-op selected Bellagio Cafe based on his past experiences here. We went on a Friday around 9am and it wasn't too busy and we were sat right away. It is set up like a casual cafe and the service was prompt. We ordered a round of coffees that arrived fast. Coffee wasn't anything special, had a Folgers flavor to it but it was hot. I ordered the scramble that had lots of fresh veggies and topped with hollandaise. Could have used a bit more salt to bring out the flavors. All and all, it was a good place, would go back again for a quick breakfast.

This was my first time in Bellagio Cafe and the main reason I went was to try out their hot chocolate because a friend of mine had recommended it to me. The cafe itself is pretty spacious and sit a large group size! They had brunch, dinner, and happy hour menu which looked pretty extensive! I will definitely be going back to check it out. The cafe is also very centrally located in downtown Vancouver and is open later than most cafes in Vancouver. Now lets talk about the hot chocolate, I WAS IN LOVE!! I went with a friend of mine who isn't the biggest fan of hot chocolate but he also was very impressed by their hot chocolate because it did not taste like chocolate in milk but was more decadent than that. They had 3 options to choose from but we tried 2 of them - 1. Snow in Mountain: It had a roasted macadamia nuts flavour with subtle hint of coconuts. It is garnished with a coconut whipped cream (YUMM), and sprinkle of shaved coconut and toasted macadamia nuts. 2. Peter Rabbit's Wonderland: Made with cacao, brown sugar and chestnut. It is served with a caramel infused whipped cream and caramelized carrot ribbons on the top. Both hot chocolates were served with mini beignets. 5/5 would recommend their hot chocolate during the fest!

We had a thoroughly delightful and delicious late morning weekday breakfast here. The menu has many interesting selections, and it was not easy to make a decision. The restaurant itself is open, airy, and beautifully designed. It is eclectic with a variety of seating, both indoors and out. Service is very friendly, and not only were we seated right away, but coffee arrived shortly thereafter. I ordered the hash, and it was absolutely delicious. It had very tasty zucchini and lots of flavor, plus the poached eggs were perfectly made, better than I have seen in quite some time. I highly recommend this dish. The other dish ordered was the Liege waffles. I tried some of the berries, and they were very fresh and sweet. It's a casual setting, and I highly recommend it for a great breakfast experience.

It's a lovely French bistro with great food and nice service. It's right at the corner of our Fairmont downtown hotel. Our server Leisa made all efforts to make us feel comfortable. We sat outside along the street enjoying the sunshine with our dog. The hash potato is my favorite!

Great food. Very very full of flavor! Prawn linguine, lasagna, truffle mushroom pizza, and house wine! Great service. Attentive serve. Look the feel of this restaurant. Great atmosphere love the lighting and blue walls.

I was intrigued by the menu and finally found time to dine here, not during happy hour like I thought but a late morning. I came here for the hot chocolate festival drink. I had "Like a Warm Hug" which was only for dine in as it contained alcohol. It was so delicious! Could be the alcohol talking. The hot chocolate was infused with whiskey condensed milk and whipped cream. The whiskey was easy to drink and warmed up the belly. Perfect during winter. The cookie which came with it was average. I decided to try the chicken and waffle. That was quite disappointing. The chicken was more like chicken tender or chicken strips, not fried chicken with nice crispy skin. It was Belgian waffle and was already quite sweet on its own, so the little container of maple syrup was quite unnecessary unless you really love sweet stuff. The only thing I liked was the salad as the tangy dressing and bitterness of the arugula cut through the sweetness of the dish. I recommend to skip this. I just wish the whiskey hot chocolate is on the menu permanently. I'll come here just for that.

Their breakfast potatoes are immaculate. Service was friendly and attentive, and the chairs were comfortable. The overall vibe was warm and welcoming, and the food was pretty good. I preferred the Benedict over the frittata - the poached eggs were perfect and the sauce was buttery and creamy. Frittata was slightly overdone, but otherwise as expected. Good breakfast in DT Vancouver!

    Bruschetta

We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon as a party of 4 and were promptly seated. I had ordered the bruschetta, which arrived warm. For a bruschetta, I found the dish to be on the oily side. I personally prefer a crispy baguette instead of the flat bread. I think diced tomatoes would have been better.

We made reservations for Saturday brunch/lunch as I read reviews the food here is delicious. It was but I taking 3 stars off due to be seated so close beside another. There were no partitions at all throughout the restaurant. Though we were the only 2 tables seated side by side, you can see other guests were seated with empty tables in between. I did find it odd when we arrived the hostess told us first before I was able to tell them we had reservations, that they were really busy. When I told them I had reservations she said oh and looked at a book and brought us to the table which I was hesitant to say something. The table next us on my right I can tell the were a bit uncomfortable as they shifted in their seat away from us. How close I was sitting next to my neighbour? We were sitting on a long bench. Between the 2 of us, my purse and her purse. We ordered: - margherita pizza - this pizza is a good size and was super delicious. - funghi e pancetta with soup of the day - my hubby really enjoyed the pizza. The soup came late after we had to remind the waiter after he finished the pizza. Even after he reminded the waiter it took some more time. The soup was very salty and only had half. - fettuccini Alfredo - really enjoyable pasta with a good portion of chicken. - Bellagio breakfast - scrambled eggs with bacon and salad. This was a really good and enjoyed every bit of it. The strawberry salad dressing was tasty but a bit heavy at the bottom on the salad. I won't be coming back during COVID. I know I should have said something that we shouldn't be seated so close to another table due to the COVID protocol , but I didn't... None of us from either tables did.

    Grande breakfast.

The service was also great, with multiple people checking in on us. The corkage, at $20, is very reasonable and the restaurant even comp'ed our tiramisu! We will miss it once it is gone. The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. That said, the toppings were generous, especially for the linguine crab that I ordered (would highly recommend!). Come by before they close permanently!

The first sign that THIS Italian Kitchen is not your great-grandnonna's kitchen was the sweet hostess's inquiry about our reservations. Though I would strongly recommend making one in the future, we appreciate the staff for squeezing our family in for 1.5 hour. The chef must have known our window of time was limited because our three plates came out swiftly after we placed our order, with no shortage of quality. The girls enjoyed the truffle spaghetti and meatballs so finely minced that they crumbled between the prongs of their forks. They even tried the Grilled Spring Salmon (which my husband and I were a little loathe to share-- would it be worse if they disliked it or loved it too much?) and the crunchy bits of the antipasto platter. Our waiter, Mike, was attentive in all the right ways. But of course, among all the richness and flavors, our 5yo's favorite item was the slice of bread at the beginning. (Cross-posted on Google)

My friends and I recently shared a few dishes here, and while the flavors were truly impressive,…read morethe portion sizes left us wanting more. We started with the complimentary bread, which was a total highlight. Each person gets a fresh slice that has an incredible crust and a soft, pillowy center--dipping it into the oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, the Gnocchi Asparagi e Funghi was my favorite - the gnocchi themselves were clearly handmade and had a great texture that didn't feel heavy. The earthy mushrooms and asparagus worked really well with the parmesan cream, which was rich but didn't overpower the other flavors. The Squid Ink Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was also solid; the lobster bisque base gave it a deep, savory saltiness that coated the clams, prawns, and scallops perfectly without making the dish feel too "fishy." We also tried the Candele Al Ragù D'Anatra. The duck ragu was tender and savory, and the combination of the parmesan fondue and aged asiago added a nice, sharp saltiness that made every bite really satisfying. Everything we ate was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so small because the flavors were definitely there. The service was excellent and very attentive; I especially appreciated that they were constantly on top of refilling my water throughout the night. The ambience also hit the right note, making it a great spot for a night out. However, the portions are definitely on the smaller side and aren't super filling. Even though every dish tasted amazing, we weren't full by the end of the meal, so it's something to keep in mind if you're arriving with a big appetite.

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.
