I got my first brows about a year and a half ago and was happy with them the entire time. Today I went in for an annual touch up and love the refreshed color, fullness and shape of my brows all over again. Don't go to just anyone for these brows. Yes, you can find cheaper prices but you get what you pay for and I trust Ashley implicitly with my brows. Anyone can get certified after a few days of classes but you want someone who knows what they are doing with the arguably most (second most?) important feature of your face. Ashley was absolutely amazing! I originally looked up Bellametrics on yelp back in 2014 when Ashley lived out of Seattle. I wanted to get permanent eyeliner done way back then, but didn't have the money. And by the time I did, Ashley moved to Sedona. But I was so impressed by all the yelp reviews and pictures of Ashley's work that I was willing to go out of my way to make sure my eyeliner was done right. Ashley did not disappoint! I was driving across country and arrived to Arizona sooner than expected and Ashley was very accommodating when I asked her one day prior that I wished to bump up my appointment time. Her business studio was very clean and had a nice atmosphere to it. I had to use the restroom multiple times during the appointment- I felt bad about interrupting Ashley's work, but she was understanding about it. Ashley applied numbing agent throughout the appointment. My eyelids felt pretty tender towards the end of the appointment, but overall, the tattooing felt more like a tickle than painful. I definitely have no qualms about getting touch-ups done in the future. I asked for a medium-line smokey upper and lower liner and got exactly what I asked for. I'm ecstatic with the outcome and it still looks great after healing. I won't be able to get a touch-up for another 9 months, but it certainly doesn't look like I'll NEED a touch-up. I don't know where I'm going to end up living after next year, but I would go out of my way to see Ashley again. I would rather see Ashley and make sure my eyeliner is done right than to settle for a cosmetic tattoo artist that's close and convenient with sketchy results. read more

In April, I was referred to a permanent makeup artist by a family member while i was on vacation. The results were pretty awful. Not only did the artist ignore my requests that she thicken my brows, but she managed to give my left eyebrow two "tails"! When I went to see Ashley, she explained to me that she would need to so some removal work before tattooing on my new brows. She said she would rather lose me as a client than do a "quick fix" that didn't look good. --this told me that she takes pride in the work she does. It ALSO solidified my faith that she would do a great job. I went to see Ashley twice to get pigment removed prior to getting my new, improved brows. THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! I've spent over 10 years completely drawing in my brows everyday because my hair never darkened. So I wasn't sure if the hair stroke tattooing was a good choice for me, since I had a normal amount of hair. She explained the process to me and even took a look at a picture I sent her. I am an RN in surgery - Sterile technique is important to me and Ashley is above and beyond what I would expect. In surgery all my face is covered by a mask except my eyes and eyebrows. If my permanent makeup was anything but perfect - my personal judgement would be in question. Ashley's fees are definitely appropriate, well within standard fees for this service. **ONE YEAR FOLLOW-UP REVIEW** I just went back for my one-year eyebrow touchup with Ashley and I wanted to provide a more long-term review for people who are looking to get permanent cosmetics done. I had my brows done because my natural hair was both blonde and very sparse, and I didn't want to fill in my eyebrows every day. I had them microbladed by Ashley last year, and though there was a little ink loss I still had no problem going to work every morning without applying any makeup. If anything, they just looked like natural brows! For days when I really wanted to emphasize them, I found that a little powder filled them out nicely. Yesterday I had my touchup, and once again Ashley knocked it out of the park - not only did she carefully fill out those spaces that ink had gone missing, but she made sure that my brows were picture-perfect before letting me leave my appointment. Basically, Ashley is a professional with a number of years experience who cares not only about the shape of your brows but also about the process (my mother is a nurse and she would have been happy with the level of cleanliness in Ashley's studio!). 8/19/19 Update to my original post. Since I posted my original feedback Ashley has changed her response to my post 8 times, I have documented every one of these. She has gone from apologizing to my dissatisfaction, but not taking responsibility for any of my original complaints, to now accusing me of doing something that made my eyebrows fall out. Stating it was because I didn't follow her care plan and took matters into my own hands. Of which I did not and followed her care plan to the letter. However, my lack of eyebrows was NEVER my complaint. In fact, lack of eyebrows is the reason I thought I would try Microblading. My complaints were as follows: 1) Dissatisfaction of color 2) One eyebrow is darker than the other 3) My two eyebrows DO NOT match in shape 4) Ashley's lack of professionalism in handling my complaints and not acknowledging my complaints. Her statement that I had eyebrows as seen in her pics is a bit misleading. What you see is the very fine eyebrow hair that is tinted from rubbing ink onto my eyebrow as part of my service. My posted pictures show what my eyebrows look like after that tint faded. I'm appalled at Ashley's harassment and lies in her comments along with the inability to let this go. If this continues, I will post her progression of replies, as I have documented these. As I stated in my first post "she is defensive and has to be right" and she has only repetitively proved this to me over the last 5 months. Stop accusing me of something I didn't do and let this go. 3/25/2019 Long story short. I will never go to Ashley again. I am very dissatisfied with my eyebrows. They are too dark and grey, one is lighter than the other and each eyebrow has a different shape. I tried to work with Ashley to fix them. However, based on her lack of professionalism and insistence that they were "perfect in her opinion." So, I do not trust her to fix them. How can I trust her to fix what she won't admit is a problem? I have paid for 2 other professional consultations and both people confirmed my findings. When I told her I had gone for these consultations her response was, "there are alot of people in this industry that will tell you want you to hear." Wow... She continued to tell me "in her opinion they are perfect," which I do not feel they are. This insistence did not validate what was true to me. She then finally admitted to a small fix and I told her I had to think about it. When I called her to tell her I would not be working with her to fix them and why, she turned this around on me. Telling me my face was "asymmetrical", as if I didn't know this? I would have thought someone with such experience would see this and tell me if this was going to be a problem. She also told me I should have, "put my foot down" to get what I wanted. How absurd! Besides what I feel is a lack of skill, it was her attitude and ethics that have completely blown me away. She is defensive and has to be right. So, if you ignore this review and decide to try her anyway, you better know exactly what you want and be ready to put your foot down to get it. read more

Preaches QAnon Conspiracies I got my eyeliner done about a month ago and was surprised at how easy the process was. But when I went back to get my touch up before she moved to Arizona, I was bombarded by her political beliefs and outlandish conspiracy theories. When I greeted her and asked how her move was going, she started making claims about the human rights group, BLM. She went as far as to call them terrorists and started discussing "walk out groups" and how last week was just the beginning. She expressed how she didn't believe that Trump had been impeached before and definitely would not be a second time. It was a hoax from the mass media. I told her many times that what she was saying was making me extremely uncomfortable. She then started talking about censorship. She explained she had been banned on Twitter with 7 different accounts. That ANTIFA was really the cause of any damage done on the capital. She even denied the charges being brought against people involved in the riots and damage. I tried to explain to her that I didn't agree with anything she said and that I didn't feel safe having her tattoo my eyelids but knew she had a $150 cancelation fee. She laughed at me and said, I'm not going to poke you in the eye! I couldn't do anything but stare at her. I felt so unsafe. Her flippant and condescending demeanor was rank with arrogance. She sat down and started to try and convince me that QAnon was a reliable source for information. I kept reminding her that I was uncomfortable because this was supposed to be a professional setting and that I was going to pay her for a service but I really didn't feel safe. She then said that we could still do the service and just not talk politics. We could "agree to disagree" but she made sure to add a comment about "and whoever ends up right or wrong about trump will know one day". I told her I was leaving and said it was because she was wrong about everything. 100%. That she sounded unstable. I wasn't sure what to do. Her display was so disrespectful to the people who have lost their lives recently and in the past from injustices never brought to light. It also, frankly was scary. I asked her to stop talking about it because it made me uncomfortable and she couldn't. She made me defend my stance and tried to goad me into a political debate so loony toons that I didn't even know where to start. Her work was decent, but it is expensive. Sadly, she's really just an awful person. Do what you will, but I couldn't stomach giving her another cent of my money. read more

Getting permanent makeup is comparable to wearing expensive, high heeled shoes. You'll endure the cost and discomfort once you find how great you look and feel wearing them. :) I opted to have a lash enhancement procedure ('tightlining') with Ashley. And the results were so immediate, so precise, so eye opening - I find myself looking in the mirror many times a day to admire the work. Because it's that damn good. Know exactly what you want visually before you arrive. Bring pics, examples. Read ALL the specifics on her website. She's honest about her abilities, philosophy about this artistry, keen on safety and pain tolerance and very, very careful about sterilization processes. Don't be timid about vocalizing your interests or dissatisfaction. In my experience, what Ashley didn't quite accomplish in the first session (time constraints) was easily handled in the follow up. Almost better that way - as you have time to see full results post-healing and then make necessary adjustments. I'd never want someone to rush through a tattoo! Ashley's service - a life changer! I've always felt much more "myself" with a little bit of shape and color added to my eyebrows. It's a small thing that makes a big difference on my face. WARNING: SHE DOES NOT GUARANTEE HER WORK! I am 55 years old and I have never written a review in my life! I was treated so horribly by this practitioner that I felt it important that anyone thinking about using her for micro blading or any other procedure be warned that she will not guarantee her work. Those were her exact words to me. She did a beautiful job three years ago right after I lost quite a few of my eyebrows through chemotherapy, so I was excited to go back and have them touched up. When I arrived for the touch up she told me my eyebrows looked extremely good still as I had missed my one year follow up. Since I knew I was way overdue, I asked her through email how much it cost for my follow and she quoted $150 to $250. She charged me $325. I thought that was completely fair since I had not made it in to see her after a year (but a couple years). I was a bit disturbed; however, by the difference in the price quote. I believe the first time I went in I paid close to $750. I am mentioning this, because she does charge top dollar for herb artistry. This is the fourth time I've had my eyebrows tattooed and/or micro-bladed and the first three times the pain was excruciating and they look overdone: ridiculously dark and exaggerated for the first couple of days after. A month later they peel and turn into this gorgeous very pretty color, striking yet natural. This time she mentioned she was using a new product. I hardly had any bleeding, it was painless and they looked good the first day which I thought was interesting. I even mentioned that to her in my appointment. It is now a month later and they have faded tremendously and turned grayish and are not very prominent. They look a bit uneven as well. Most frustrating though is I still need to use eyebrow liner which defeats the purpose. She had mentioned to me in my latest appointment I may have to come back in for a redo. When I emailed her and asked her about coming back In and verifying I wouldn't get another charge she said there would be another $150 charge. When I called to explain the situation, she was extremely arrogant and defensive and said I did't respect her policy and I was trying to get something for free. She made a ton of excuses and told me It was probably my skin or some medication I was taking. She told me people get afraid all the time and wipe off their ink and do not follow protocol , but this isn't my first rodeo. I sent her pictures, but she said she couldn't tell in the pictures. She did not even ask me to come in to see what they look like in person. She just kept on telling me she doesn't guarantee her work and that I don't respect her policy. She was extremely rude, overemotional and unprofessional. After a 20 minute conversation that was filled with defensiveness, blame and projection I realized I don't need the emotional drain and to be dealing with someone with such hostility. I'm better off paying full price again and going to someone a bit less self-centered. read more
