However, I've been to the office 3x and the last time I was over it. I made sure to arrive early and each time i had to wait 20-30mins to be seen. The last time (final time) i waited 50mins; at that moment i left. It started last week when i called to get a follow up appt after i had an extraction from a referral from Dr Edmondson. I called and the front office put me on hold for about 5-6mins. I was then told that they would call me back. 4 days later, i still had not received a return call so I called to follow up. I called and finally made an appt. I asked how long the service would take because i would have to get my daughter from school. She informed me that i would have ample time. When i arrived i also asked the tech and she informed me the same thing. After waiting for 50mins i left because i felt that my time had wasted. I informed the tech that i was leaving and walked out of the establishment never to return. I REALLY wanted to call that dental office my home but it seems the respect of time is not important there. I really hate that it came to this because i wanted Dr Edmondson to be my dentist.

My dental insurance has been the same for the last 15+ years, why is there an issue now? I went to get a fill in, called ahead to ask for an estimate of what my copay would be ahead of time. I was told approx. $54. Of course that's what I was then prepared to pay. My call was placed about two weeks prior and was told I had a "missed appt" charge and a balance. The office policy told to me by front desk was that I shouldn't have been charged the fee because you only get charged if you miss 3 appts within a year. I've never missed any appts in 15 plus years but one. That appt was only missed because I didn't receive the call originally asked for in regards to that appt's copay. I was even given the "I will contact you about the copay" from the back office staff. Ok still waiting for that CALL..... Now I have been to this office several times and haven't been told I had a balance. Fast back forward to front desk and I'm told by Ms Deborah I owe today $108...wait what?? I explained the above and told her the lady I spoke with prior said she would be taking the missed appt fee off and $54 is what is owed today. She then printed off my bills dating all the way back to 2016. I was flabbergasted because how can billing have me come since 2016 and I have a bill balance of $21 and never let me know? Ms Deborah was understanding and took my info for Sylvia her supervisor to contact me. I really hope billing taps into customer service skills. Long time customers should be valued and appreciated. Hopefully a resolution is in the near future.

I have since left this practice and here is why…read more I had a procedure that the dental office reported was a necessity, my dental insurance declined to cover said procedure (they disagreed with the dentist) and I was in turn required to pay. Okay, I get that. I paid, and all is to be right within the world, right, right? Well here in lies the gotcha, my dental insurance told me that I should not have paid anything to the provider at all and I was due a refund. My issue is that it took several phone calls, conversations, basically months to receive my funds. I fully believe that had I not advocated for a return of funds that I would have never received it. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never return.

I saw Dr. Reed and was very happy with the care I received. He and his staff were pleasant, professional, and took great care of me. In fact, when Dr. Reed filled the cavity in my upper molar, I barely felt it! The office isn't fancy, but it's clean and pleasant. I highly recommend Smile Street Dental!

I initially really liked Dr. Deroo during my orthodontist treatment. However, towards the end of my…read moreservice and due to terrible communication by his dental assistance, his service and decorum declined drastically. Dr. Deroo became short in his dealing with me and lacked the same compassion and understanding that he delivered during the former part of my treatment. Because of this inconsistent disposition and poor communication skills, I would not recommend anyone (as I had done previously) to this doctor. FYI: I saw the aforementioned Affinity Dentist at another office.

Trust is the foundation of any relationship…read more.. And I trust my lifelong dentist, Dr. Egert, with not only my teeth but my life! Even if he came to me and said all of your teeth need to be pulled, I would oblige - instantly. He is incredibly gentle, calm and kind even with the more uneasy and squirmy patients like me. And, most important, he is insanely talented. He knows the exact amount of novocaine to use so I won't flinch - even once. He is also super discreet with the needle too. He has done the gamut of dental work on this 30-year-old mouth and you would never be able to tell. He recently fixed a tooth I chipped and made it look even better than before. He is a miracle worker! Side - but very important - note: He also has the best and most contagious laugh you will ever hear. I also have to give a shout out to a few of my favorite Affinity associates who always make me feel at ease and at home in the "chair." Wanda, Emily and Sharon - I heart you all long time! I have an "affinity" for Affinity that will never die...
