I stopped into Bella's on the way home from a job site for a filling meal and that's exactly what I got. The three slices I ordered were the plain, penne vodka, and tortellini. The penne vodka slice was great. The vodka sauce was flavorful and creamy and the slice was cheesy and delicious overall. The plain was alright. The cheese was good, but the slice could have benefitted from more sauce. The crust was pleasantly fluffy and the base was crispy with good structure. The tortellini slice was the best of the bunch. The only way to get decent pizza out of this place is to order it fresh by the pie, if you get it by the slice or over the counter, it's never good, could have been sitting there for days or overnight, I'm not saying bad pizza I'm just saying it's not the same quality as fresh pizza or fresh mussels or fresh garlic knots for example, lotta lunch crowd, typically hard-working construction types, nice people, though and the owners and workers at Bellis are very nice and do try hard to please. We've been ordering from this place for over two years now. The last 6 times they have just completely failed on our order. This particular order is supposed to be an extra cheese, half pepperoni. Received pizza is full pepperoni, clearly not extra cheese, and quite honestly looks like it was sitting out in one of their windows all day and heated up, instead of making it fresh like you should when someone orders. We've asked them every time to bake it light because they always over cook or burn it. I've never complained until now. This is absolutely ridiculous. I won't be ordering from here again. The pizzeria is under newer ownership - so some of the older reviews aren't accurate. We have some friends that live very close to this pizzeria, and we have ordered pizza, salad, and mozzarella sticks from here on numerous occasions. The pizza is really good - I'm not sure what they do with the plain cheese pizza, but the seasonings they use and the quality of the cheese make it flavorful and fantastic. Firstly, their food is great, and the staff on site is great! My only negative experience is based on delivery service. Myself and coworkers go here all the time and the food is so great, and the service is excellent. So I decided to order delivery. The first thing the guy says is, "just so you know, we'll never deliver here again. Your house is outside of our delivery area, it takes 10min to get here so that makes me late to other deliveries". I apologized profusely, said I had no idea, confirmed they were in the Lebanon Plaza (I live next to North), and he continued that it was a pain. I said I would have picked it up if I knew, was apologetic (and had already tipped generously on my online order). Maybe I caught him on a bad day, because I love supporting local businesses, but I'm 4 miles from them and I find it hard to believe I was 'out of the way'... Delivery requesters beware.. read more

Bambino's Pizzeria has decent pizzas by the slices. I will agree with the other Yelpers, this place is filthy and old. It feels as though I just walked into an 80's era pizzeria. I must have been really lucky to get the "nice brother" when I went here since the guy greeted me with a smile and brought my pizza to my table. As far as the pizzas go, it's alright. I will never get my pizza from Bellas again and I stopped in regularly. During COVID I went in for a few slices. No one is wearing gloves handling the food!! After watching them touch surfaces, credit cards, and other items behind the counter, three employees touched the plain pie to see if it cooled down without first washing their hands. I watched the young guy who agreed to prepare my slices run his hands under the sink, just water, NO SOAP, for 3 seconds, no exaggeration. I told the cashier, who asked him if he washed his hands and he replied "I always do." He kept rushing along to make new pies. She whispered something to another employee but nothing was done and they still put the same pizza slices in the oven to serve to me. I waited a few minutes to see if there would be any efforts to prepare me different slices. There was none. First time I have ever walked out of a pizza place with no pizza and I had already paid. I've worked in pizza parlors so I know it gets busy but I was only one of three people there. Customer service aside, during COVID the health and safety of customers should always come first. It was a mistake that lost them a regular and my credit card should really be refunded. read more

I just worked 8 hours today and wanted pizza. I have been going to Bella's pizza since it took over from Bambino's. (Years) I usually go about every 2 weeks for pizza or Panini's. Today they had the white broccoli pizza and I told the owner I only wanted it if the dough was cooked because the last time it was raw. His first excuse was that they don't cook what they put out all the way because they heat it up in the oven to finish (BS). I got the 2 slices of the white broccoli and a plain slice. I got in the car and decided to check the pizza to make sure the dough was cooked and it was not. I'm not spending $7.00 for 2 raw slices of pizza to just throw it out. I went inside to show him it was raw, second excuse was that it was the cheese. He became irate and said here is your money back I'm not going to waste pizza. I said I wanted the plain slice he said not to order anything else because they could all be raw. I looked at him and said I have been coming to you for many years (like why are you talking to me like this) Then he yells there is a pizza place in whitehouse I should go there. Really?? A person tells you nicely about an experience in their place of business and basically they tell you I'm not going to serve you and go somewhere else, this is the thanks of many years of patronizing their business. FYI I am Italian and was brought up on homemade pizza I also make pizza so I know when dough is raw. read more

Based on food, I would say five stars. The place is owned by two brothers. One is very nice, the other not so much. I took my two sons (10 mo./3yrs) for lunch. My older son loves garlic knots so I ordered them, the nasty brother said"what!? we don' t have them." I asked got bread sticks again no luck. He said I had two choices peperoni or sausagr. We settled on peperoni pizza and took a seat while it was warming in the oven. The guy took the pizza out of the oven from warming it up, and just stood at the register. We were the only ones in the place. I wasn't happy that he wouldn't make any other item other than two choices of pizza already made. I have just never heard of that. Its a pizza place where food is made to order. There definitely loosing business that way. Also another downfall is that they only take cash. I just discovered my new favorite local pizza joint in Jersey. My coworker took me here, and he said a lot of people from our office building come here even though there are other pizza places closer to our office. What really sets this place apart from the rest is the different specialty pizzas that are full of flavor, and the crust with a balance of being crispy on the outside and just the right amount of softness in the inside. For the specialty pizzas, they are excellent. I recommend the chipotle chicken, the chicken quesadilla, and the stuffed meat. There are others I've not had yet, so I'm looking forward trying those. For the purists, the plain cheese, the pepperoni, and the sausage are also delicious with the crust really completing that full pizza flavor. But why be so standard when there's quite a bit of variety of yummy specialty pizzas. The people who work there are super nice, and the price is right. So it's now my favorite pizza joint in Jersey, and I highly recommend it! read more

Hate to even give this dump 1 star. Ordered a large extra cheese pie, had to go to an ATM, they only take cash. Took about 5 minutes. I was surprised when the pie was ready when I got back. Turns out they had an old pie someone didn't pick up. They threw some extra cheese on it and gave me the stale pie. When I complained they were nasty as could be. That was 5 years ago and never went back. For a great pie in the area try Dominics on old Rt. 22 in Clinton. Nice people as well. Update- my wife and 7 year old went to Bambinios today. She didn't know what a shit place it is. She didn't see the cash only notice. She ordered a couple of slices. My 7 year old opened a bottle of water. The guy cursed at my wife in front of my daughter when she handed him a credit card and then threatened my wife if she didn't have the $1.50.
