Pot Roast, scrambled eggs, Hash browns with Pancakes!
    Paul H.

Arrived in a Saturday Morning at 8:55am. Got seated (come early, they fill up fast). Nikki our server was very cordial and attentive. (She deserves a raise folks!) Order the hash browns crispy, the pot roast was most excellent and pancakes nice, fluffy and large. One does NOT go hungry after coming here. A must stop for breakfast or brunch in Algonquin!

2.5 stars food is really good service was not good and they weren't busy waited on drinks found a piece of paper in my country fried steak was told ohh I'll let the cooks know and got a check half way into my meal

Amazing Service! Great Food! Eggs Benedict, breakfast sandwich, Belt Buster Skillet will all not disappoint! Very busy before 8 a.m. says a lot!

Stopped for breakfast before Doctor appointment. Don't live near here but high rank on Yelp. Did not disappoint. French toast was perfect. Coffee very good. Cool vibe. Sat at counter. Big menu.

Short stacks, a side and part of the Famous Belt Buster

A great bang for your buck kind of place with good old American brunch options. It's a cute little dinner decorated with eclectic Knick knacks. The service is fast and good. I ordered the Famous Belt Buster with Avocado, which was $7.50! It came with two over easy eggs, crispy hash browns, 2 slices of thick cut firm bacon, avocado and 2 decently sized pancakes. It was absolutely delicious and very filling! I over stuffed myself, because I couldn't stop eating; under normal conditions usually I'd take left overs home, but I really enjoyed it so much I kept eating! My date had the southwestern skilled which contained 2 over easy eggs on top of chorizo, green peppers, onion, breakfast potatoes and cheese. A side of short stacks was also included with no extra charge. The flavors of the skillet dish were nice except our only complaint would be the green pepper and onion were a little too undercooked for our preference. All in all, I'd recommend this place for breakfast and brunch! It's a cute little cheap spot with good food!

I'm not sure where you're going for breakfast but turn around and head here!! I promise you will not regret it. From the cute interior, the very polite and friendly staff, and the unbelievable fresh and homemade food, this place is my new breakfast spot! Pictured is the homemade steak chilaquiles (homemade chips and verde sauce) and pumpkin pancakes (yes, pumpkin, year round).

Small and tight and just right. Worth the wait! Most excellent breakfast. Rhonda our waitress very pleasant and attentive. (Give her a raise!) sat at the counter which had a good spacing. Country steak nice and crisp, eggs great, huge pancakes that I could not finish. When in Algonquin for breakfast or lunch, make the stop!

I was there on Easter Sunday with my family enjoying my (delicious) meal when we heard some commotion at a nearby table. The commotion was coming from a server who seemed to be having some sort of informal meeting with upper management. The server was basically yelling at upper management and being very rude. I don't even think upper management was able to get a word in. Since I'm always here with family, I know one of the managers on a first name basis (Eric). Eric is such a kind and helpful employee. He was one of the individuals being yelled at by this server. I'm not sure the other managers name but she had dark hair. They did a great job handling the very uncomfortable situation. I felt so bad for both of them having to deal with this situation on top of a holiday weekend. Besides the managers handling this situation with such grace, everything else was awesome! I ordered the veggie skillet and iced latte. Both were delicious as always! I will continue to support this restaurant as they truly are kind individuals with amazing food!

It was a nice night, so we sat outside. Their outside has some beach chairs in one area and some covered seating in another. We sat kinda in between off to the side and it was nice. My fiend ordered the fennel and sausage wood fired pizza and thought it was good but didn't rave about it (see photo). He did like the flavor of the crust, which from past experiences I remember, If you like mushrooms, definitely try their wild mushroom pizza. They are made for one person, unless you want to share for something lighter. I had the Wood-fired Hanger Steak (see photo). Looking at it, it looked sad. The steak was flavorful but a little tough in parts. But if you compare my photo to what's on their website, you will see a noticeable difference. The description matches what I received, but come on people. Throw some ]thing colorful on the plate - would have preferred the website food, though I think it's the wrong photo based on description. LOL Our server was kind, friendly and attentive. Another gentleman popped in once and awhile to ensure everything was going well. Very friendly. We will be back, but not sure I'll order the steak again.

The server, I believe her name was April, was very sweet and attentive. She surprised us with a dessert that had a sparkling candle , resembling a sparkler firework. Our faces lit up with excitement as the server happily took pictures for us. It was definitely the perfect final touch to our dining experience. With curiosity of wanting to know more about this restaurant, we asked questions about the history and back story. The lady that helped us, gave us the opportunity to take a quick tour, with information that allowed us to feel more connected to and appreciative of this business. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance with dim, intimate lighting and a clean, modern presentation. It feels polished without being stiff, refined but still welcoming. Most importantly, it delivers where it counts, on the plate. We started with the lamb lollipops, cooked precisely to temperature and finished with crushed pistachios, pomegranate, and a rich demi-glace. Each bite delivered depth, brightness, and texture. The Dungeness crab croquettes were equally impressive, crispy on the outside with a delicate, herbaceous interior. Rich, but never heavy. The French onion soup is an experience in itself, served in a hollowed onion. Bold, deeply savory, and incredibly comforting. Service elevated the night even further. Our server, Karra, asked if we'd sharing and had the kitchen split our entrées into individual portions, a thoughtful touch. The steak arrived perfectly cooked, and exactly as ordered. We finished with the English sticky toffee pudding, warm, gooey, and unapologetically decadent. Montarra doesn't chase trends. It executes upscale dining with precision, care, and genuine hospitality. That is exactly why it stands out, and why I'll keep coming back. Go experience it for yourself.
