I had a groupon for an anti-aging facial. The groupon stated that there would be an arm and shoulder massage and a 50 minute facial. The facial was close to 40 minutes, and 20 of those were spent with a face mask on and with the technician out of the room. There was no massage, the woman just rubbed lotion on my arms. The woman tried to sell a 50$ facial peel, which I probably needed, but obviously would not buy because I had purchased the Groupon in the first place for the discount. It was a little awkward to offer the facial peel while she was putting the mask on my face, and I felt odd after that. My son bought me a Groupon for this Spa; DONNA was very responsive on calling me back, after leaving a message. I had an anti-aging facial with a Vitamin-C mask. Pretty good results. This Spa is just as good as some of the " Larger Spas" in the area, but on a more personable level. The facial itself was suppose to be 50 minutes, it went quicker than that even with the mask. As a first time client at Belle Image, I was initially pleased with the facial experience. I also agreed to have my eyebrows waxed as I was overdo and would not be seeing my regular person for at least a week. I felt obliged to buy the products the owner offered. I purchased a cleanser and mask. Once arriving home and looking in the mirror I was aghast as my eyebrows were NOT even in the slightest. One was in a perpetual arch and the other a straight line with 1/4 of the end totally missing. I know - great! Then the next day my right cheek broke out in a horrible rash, which was small the day before, but was now a little worrisome. I have never had an issue like this before. So I emailed the following to the salon: "I left a message shortly after I returned home. I have to be honest - I am quite upset. My eyebrows - both of them - are a mess and I am embarrassed to leave the house. I am also having a reaction on my cheek, from what i am not sure. With that said, I would like to return the products as I am no longer comfortable with the thought of using them. They are unopened/unused and still in their bag. Please let me know when would be a good time to bring them over." Three days later I received this scathing response via email: "I am sorry you were disappointed with your brows. Compared to their prior bushy/unibrow appearance, I thought they looked excellent. They certainly are not a "mess". They were a mess when you came in. I have been doing brows for 22 years and have a Strong repeat following. You would only be able to get a store credit for the products. I cannot resell them once they leave. The bottom of the receipt states this policy. Store credit would be good for skin services or any products I carry. Teas, bath & body, jewelry, hand cremes." I was APPALLED and responded: "Honestly I am shocked and appalled by your response. Disappointed, is an understatement. While I acknowledge that I was overdue for a wax, I am far from pleased with the result. One brow is arched and the other is straight with a huge piece on the right just missing the brow completely due to your ineptness with waxing, regardless of your 22 years of experience. Your scathing comment about the bushy unibrow appearance is a total exaggeration and highly unprofessional. People make mistakes and admitting to this one would have gone a long way. As you do not have the courtesy to part professionally, I will be throwing out the products as they have caused me to break out in a full rash on my cheek 3 days later. With your unprofessional response, I would certainly not be returning to your salon for any product or treatment and let others know how I feel." Immediately she told me how dry my skin was and how I needed a 50 dollar peel to get the dead skin off. Then she asked if I ever did my eyebrows because they were bad. The facial was not relaxing. No massage and the lady is very forward. She presented me with 3 products saying I should use these or basically my face would go back to being unbalanced in 2 days. It would reverse everything she did. Then she tried to offer me her 3 facial prepay deal. I said no to that. 177.00 later I feel completely scammed. Thinking of calling the better business bureau. I could just copy & paste the previous reviews; how funny. I, too, had a Groupon for an anti aging facial. I purchased it in December because going on Tuesday would work perfectly for me. When I called to make an appt. I was told as of Jan. 1st she no longer works Tuesdays. Fast forward to February when I was able to make an appt. I was on the table for 3 minutes and was told I have severe sun damage and would really benefit from a $50 facial peel and I was so caught off guard that against my better judgement I said yes. That turned out to be a creme she sloughed on and off in 3 seconds. Waste of $50. Then she put on the 20 minute mask and left the room. No massage either, and I was given the heavy sales pitch for the three items she used on me which I refused. My skin looked no different except for a film that lasted through a washing into day two. Complete waste of time and money and I should have read reviews before purchasing my Groupon. read more

I went to see Donna twice with a Groupon. I was not very pleased the first time and only went back because of the price with the Groupon and one product that I love. The first time she also told me how extremely dry my skin was and told me that I needed better products--which she tried to sell me. I have NEVER been told that I have dry skin! She also "waxed" my upper lip. With what, I don't know, because when I got home, the hair was still there. And, when I had a reaction to a moisturizer that I did buy, she gave me a hard time, but finally agreed to take it back. Of all the facials I have ever had, this was the worst. The massage was not a massage and, as others have written, you spend a lot of time alone in that room. And, if you don't buy her products or disagree with her opinion of your skin, her personality quickly changes. I too don't know how she has stayed in business so long. Maybe that's why she has to continually offer Groupons. Stay away! read more

I had a similar experience. I bought the groupon facial deal for a 50 minute facial with arm, shoulder and neck massage. I was disappointed by the experience as a whole. This was my first facial and expected it to be an overall relaxing experience. It started with her showing me my sun damage, and her giving me a mild scolding for allowing the sun to touch my skin. Then, as soon as the facial began, she tried to sell an additional $50 peel. I thought nothing of it, figuring she was just trying to make a little extra cash off the groupon deal. But, when I politely refused, she quickly came back with, "Well alllll of my clients do it and I think you have a lot to benefit from it." I felt a bit offended, but shrugged it off. The next thing she was was, "I do waxing as well and I can see that you could use a bit on your eyebrows, any interest?" Again I said no, feeling a bit more confused and slightly more offended. This continued through the rest of the facial, with her not stopping her suggestive selling and telling me about how all the products I currently use are no good. Not the most relaxing experience. I agree with the other review about the lack of "massage" of the arms, shoulders and neck. She did not touch my arms. and quickly graced my neck and shoulders for 1 minute, applying zero pressure. (She also didn't apply any pressure when she was doing the very brief massage of the face.) Finally, she left with with a 20 minute mask on. When I went out to leave, she had all the products she used that day out on the counter. I wasn't surprised she would try to sell them (nor do I blame her, because she is running a business), but when I politely said that I was going to pass on the products, she gave me a dirty look and told me that I "needed to change my routine" because "my skin.... um.... could stand to look better." (I'm in my early 20s, and take good care of my skin for the record). ***Since this was my first facial, I'm not sure if this is normal, but I figured I would point it out. After my massage I had a new, shiny large pimple on my chin and a lot of blackheads in the surrounding area. This could be that "hidden" dirt was just brought to the surface, and it could be very common with facials, but it seemed strange. I would not recommend this location to a friend, even at the discounted groupon price. Overall, I felt a bit "jipped" by the experience and fairly offended. I bought a Groupon for a 50 minute facial. During the facial Donna told me how I have severe sun damage and recommended a special treatment for an additional $45. She had me so scared about my skin, I went for the extra treatment. The entire facial lasted about 45 minutes, including the upgrade. Of that 45 minutes, she was in the room for no more than 15 minutes.; she put the steam on and left. She called applying lotion "a massage", there were no extractions, etc. Then she told me the only way the $45 upgrade would work was if I bought her products! She said otherwise I just threw out the additional $45! But, she didn't tell me this until the end, after I already gotten the treatment. When I questioned her, she said I got "the Groupon" facial and that the additional $45 was for product and time. When I told her I didn't get any additional time and felt I got ripped off, she called me a bitch. No lie. With that, I walked out. She followed me out into the parking lot still yelling at me. I have been going to Belle Images for years and love the service. My skin has a tendency to be dry, but glows after the facials. I am wondering why some people think the technician needs to be in the room when a face mask is on. To chat? I like the quiet enjoyment and relaxation. Donna is an expert on skin care and I believe that she knows what products work best for certain types of skin. I am thankful to have the products there that I need. I read some of the other reviews and cannot believe that they are even speaking about the same person. I have found Donna to be extremely professional and sweet. I went to Belle Images based on a friends referral. Her skin always looks amazing. She told me about a Peel she has done there and she does use the products. I decided to give it a try. My esthetician was very knowlegable and explained all the anti-aging benefits of the peel which I did pay extra for. I was surprised at how much better my skin looked and felt. I also had a groupon for a facial. It took so long to actually speak to someone to make and appointment. When I finally spoke to someone, I found her to be very rude and short on the phone. I made my appointment and went this morning. As another customer had mentioned, the description of this anti aging facial included a massage, relaxation and exfoliating of skin. Within the first two minutes the woman rudely told me how dry my skin was and how she could tell I used cheap cleansers. Then offered an enzyme treatment for fifty dollars. I declined. After that she was even more cold and rude as stated by the other customer..I sat there for twenty minutes with cotton balls on my face while she left the room. I have gotten facials at many other spas...this was a rip off on top of the rudeness of the women. I would never go back. the facial was ok, i was expecting extractions for clogged pores and did not receive it, the massage was about five minutes and mostly the techician promoted her products and left me in the room with a mask on. the 30 dollar brow and lip waxing was awful. there is still hair , and i mean alot of hair on my face. there was no 'expert shaping' and finally. i had to bring my 5 year old daughter in at the last minute. she clearly was not pleased. my daughter sat quiet as amouse for the whole session. at one pt she made a tiny bit of noise when she dropped a plastic water bottle, the woman snapped at her inappropriately, i should have walked out then and not bought her overpriced facial cleanser read more
