I went to get a Spa Pedicure Deluxe for $44 plus $15 for gel polish and I felt like the woman who did my pedicure was very rushed. I felt like she hardly even did my cuticles. I sat getting y nails done today as the only African American in the building they played a song that used the "N-WORD" at least 30 times I looked around and every face met my eyes and lowered their heads... the song played in its entirety as I asked for the manager she took her sweet time coming to speak with my!! Well my well spoken educated black self read beer every which way from Sunday!!! Today she got a full black history education... all she could say was I'm sorry... went in 20 minutes after they opened got a basic pedicure and gel manicure. well. the pedicure took over an hour. I think she was newish i was lenient but pressed for time. she didnt soak the gel from fingertips til she was putting the topcoat on my toes . I was pissed. that means they basically use that tool to remove gel polish. Then. when I finally got to the manicure im 1/2 behind schedule and the nail tech wants to start talking sh*t about me literally so obvious she turned spoke loudly in her native tongue and then every tech laughed. It is amazing that the Health Department has not shut this place down. VERY unsanitary, no surfaces are wiped down, and watching the nail techs go to the limited number of "sanitizing" ovens is crazy. I watched one tech rinse the manicure tools with water then put them in the oven. Within 5 minutes, another tech took the tools out to use on another client. When I got a yellow spot on a toe nail - the tech told me it was from regular nail polish and that I should switch to gel polish on my toes. An obvious upsell that only made things worse. I have never had a fungal infection from any other spa, but this place is so dirty. Be forewarned - this place is very unsanitary. read more

As I was getting my nails done, the worker cut me twice with her hand file. I pulled my hand away and showed her the cuts, only getting "awe" for a response. I had to ask her to clean the cuts and she replied with "but it'll burn". I told her the cuts were already hurting and that they needed to be cleaned. This isn't the first time I've been cut here. A couple weeks ago a worker was putting so much pressure on my nail with his drill that it put a hole into the middle of my nail. I couldn't get my nails done again until the hole grew out. The tech talked me out of it as well as talking me out of getting a certain kind of Polish. Also my one fingernail was really crooked but tried to tell me "that's how it do". Which was b*******. I visited during a lunch break as I searched yelp and this business had great reviews and was in close proximity to my job. I called ahead and inquired about an appointment I was told if I planned on coming in soon an appointment was not needed. I arrived signed in picked my gel color (hot pink) and was told to sit at 15. John (I believe) filed my nails to perfection and did an equally fantastic job at applying my hot pink gel polish. The pedicure chairs are tucked away yet still in view. A great modern looking salon. Services: Tropical Paradise & Relaxation Manicure & Pedicure. ($110+ $50 tip) Overview: appointment for 10am on a Saturday. Pedicure was great--was taken into a secluded room with 8 chairs & provided with a side table for my purse. Some women did not have tables & had to hold their purses. They use all safety precautions: plastic lined tub, freshly wrapped tools & individually wrapped lotions. The pedicure included being massaged with limes, cucumbers & orange slices, which is weird, but fun & surprising. I got regular white polish & I was happy with the results. Manicure was ok. The manicurist insisted I remove my bracelet & I told him, I can't get it back on, so he will need to remember to help me. I was taken into a large room with 40+ manicure tables & the techs all talking over each other. It was very very busy. Unattended children running around. Not as relaxing, as I felt on display. Manicurist cut my nails down a little too short & a little too square for my taste, but what was done was done. I got a nude gel manicure. The polish seemed thick & old & came out bumpy with sloppy bottoms. After the manicure was over, I washed my hands & settled the bill & left to go shopping. At 4pm, I realized that the manicurist did not put my bracelet back on & I called in a panic. The manager answering the phone said they have it & to come back in. That is not an option for me, so I asked him to mail it. The man dismissed me rudely, didn't take my name/info & said it would be in the safe for me to pick up. I was going out of town the next day, but returned the following Thursday & got my bracelet back. I was on the fence on if I would return for services after the initial phone, because I had just spent $150 & thought they can afford a stamp instead of inconveniencing me further, but the official reason I will not be returning is the work performed. Durability: Immediately after, I went on a week long retreat (limited activity, no pools, no dishes). Big toe chipped after 3 days. Manicure chipped after 6 days. I have never seen gel chip before, but here we are. Also, my cuticles are in terrible shape after the manicure--cut all up & bleeding easily. I have been treating them with Neosporin & they are healing slowly. Bottom Line: this place is great if you have a large party. They are more than capable of handling everyone simultaneously because of the size of the place. With the sheer amount of technicians available, you will probably find a good one & you should stick with them. Bring your own polish to avoid the cheap stuff they use & don't bother tipping well--it will get you nowhere. Set expectations accordingly. read more

I came to Belle Nails recently with a bridal party to receive mani/pedis before the wedding day and the salon took such great care of us! The bridesmaids brought champagne, fruit juice, cookies, fruit, plates, etc. to munch on while we received our mani/pedis and the staff was so accommodating. They rearranged some of their plants/decorations for to make space for our food and drinks. Even while we sat and received our pedicures extra nail technicians were serving us fruit and refilling our mimosas. They really helped make the experience extra special for the bride. A few girls in the bridal party regularly come to get their nails done here. They have an extensive selection of gel colors in comparison with other salons in the area. There are a few of nail technicians that they really like and the rest are okay. A gel mani is $23 which is right in line with other salons. The salon itself is pretty big. There are about 15 pedicure chairs lined up on the side of the salon and about 20 nail stations. The salon is clean but I did notice that the trash cans were 1/2 full with the trash from the day before. Not a big deal but since I arrived at 10am (when they open) I expected empty trash bins. I do not live in this area anymore but if I was in South Jersey and wanted a gel mani, this would be my salon. read more

I got the sports pedicure for the extra massage. It was ok not really worth $50 as I got very little extra in my opinion. It pretty much feels like a normal $35ish pedicure. Also I don't think her technique was great as it was a little painful at times. Also PAY with CASH. This is not posted but they charged me ab extra $1.50 for using my card. There should be a sign on the door. It was my first time here, how would I know? I only planned to tip in cash. One thing I did like was the people I encountered spoke excellent English. I didn't have trouble understanding. At some places it can be a challenge due to language barrier. Also of note, I like looking T bottles of polish. I don't get gel. So I'd rather pick a bottle from a shelf than looking at plastic nails and then they pick a similar shade. When I arrived there was no wait and I had looked at one board of colors so when I went back I didn't know what I wanted. She brought me back 1 board while I was soaking, so I had very limited choices and didn't get the color I had in mind. So overall it's a nice place. It seems clean. And it's spacious....you can't see everyone there because there's different sections offering privacy and more relaxation. However I think the pedicure was just average feeling but a little above average pricing. Bring cash!! And pick your color before you go back even if they have to wait a minute. read more

I had an acrylic set put on about a month ago, and by my next refill appointment, there was discoloration due to poor application. Belle Nails has been my go-to nail salon for almost three years now. Their prices are pretty much the same as I've seen at any other nail place. Everyone who has ever serviced me has been great, so I've never bothered to pick a favorite and make appointments. Even without appointments, I've rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes. Things have always seemed pretty sanitary, and though maybe not perfect, I've always let any possible indiscretions slide because Belle Nails is convenient and I've seen worse elsewhere. Before today, I probably would have given them 3 stars. A-OK enough for me to keep going back, but definitely not as good as it gets. And then today, after my pedi, my nail tech walked me over to the dryers, pulled out my chair, and I saw a cockroach scurry across the floor. This was the second time I've seen such a nasty critter while trying to get pampered. The first time, another customer pointed it out to her nail tech, and he apologized (rather apathetically) and killed it. The first time I decided to overlook it because, hey, any business that exists in a strip mall can potentially get bugs. But now I'm too skeeved out to go there anymore. Third time's a charm? Eek!
