We tried this place for the first time in hopes of finding a go-to breakfast joint. While the cool decor and polite staff are a big plus- they ask you a million questions about how you want your food, only to add something you never asked for in the first place My partner had the pressed grilled cheese sandwich - seems simple enough, but there was JELLY on the bread!! Big thumbs down. This is a terrible spread to put on a cheese sandwich without asking if the patron wants it. They shouldn't have spread another cheese on instead. The sweetness really ruined the meal, so make sure you let them know NO JELLY! It's like dipping a sausage in chocolate and saying nothing wrong with that. Yuck!! I had the egg and cheese on croissant and it was nice and fluffy - though I don't think the eggs were made on a griddle from the texture of their consistency. They tasted microwaved possibly. The coffee is ok. I had herbal tea, which you can't go wrong with. Overall a nice experience. Recommend for a quick bite and no big expectations.

I've been here a handful of times, especially since it opened, and I love this place. Cute little cafe vibes and a little hidden from the main streets, but awesome sandwiches and drinks! Service is always nice and considerate -- could be a little slow during rush hours as they only have a few staff and a small kitchen, but it's worth the wait. My favorite lunch sandwich is the Meathead sandwich for sure. Lots of flavor from the mustard sauce, and meaty goodness. I also love their blueberry lemonade, it's super refreshing for summer weather! Great place for a quick coffee or quick bite, and to have a casual date. It's a tad bit expensive, but...Jersey City prices for you. Everything else marks the spot!

Came here with friends for breakfast, we got the iced matcha latte, disco inferno, trippin on shrooms, and iced chai latte. The staff were friendly and the inside was clean. My sandwich wasn't too heavy for a breakfast sandwich and tasted great! It was a little smaller than I expected inside but it wasn't too busy in the morning so there was no problem getting a seat.

Amazing cafe serving it up in the Journal Sq area. All their food is freshly made to order and everything I've tried from here has always been so delicious & high quality. Great cafe to work in as well, as they have free wifi, clean bathroom, many tables/seats, and outlets! I work in the area and frequent this cafe quite a lot.

Don't you just love when a place is so good you want to write a review before you even leave? Well journal squarers, look no further. You've found your new cafe/coffee shop! Ever since Square 1 closed early in the pandemic, this neighborhood has been missing something. I stumbled across this place after seeing a sandwich board on JFK (side note: you guys need to advertise more, I would have come in sooner had I known this hidden gem was tucked in here). Anywho, let's talk food. It's great. Full stop. I spotted at least 6 hot sauces so I knew I was in good hands. Love the music, the decor, the vibes are immaculate. Even the retail wall is cute. I imagine I'll be back before the end of the month.

Came here for lunch on a hot Friday afternoon. Wanted to check them out and support a new local business. Also needed to kill time and get a cold drink. Ordered the loaded avocado toast and unsweetened tea. Avocado toast was well made with fresh ingredients. Tea was also good. Staff was very friendly and professional. Great addition to the neighborhood. Support local business. Belle gets a recommendation.

Absolutely love this new café in the JSQ area already! First off, the location is amazing - it's about 2 blocks away from the JSQ Path station. The inside of the store is beautifully decorated and they've got some seating options. The menu is also pretty awesome! As of right now, they said they'll be getting decaf options within the week, so that's even better. I tried their BEC on a croissant & an iced matcha latte and loved both items. The staff was also so sweet. Again, love this new café in the area and can't wait to visit again.

This cute little location was beside the hotel I was crashing in for the week & the staff was extremely helpful. They even offered some tips for parking in the area. I dropped in for a green tea & was in & out without a hitch.

Fantastic coffee shop/restaurant. Besides such an amazing staff and service, the food and coffee was rocking! Definitely take recommendations, because they know their stuff. You would never know it was here if you didn't know about it. It's a beautiful spot in Journal Square area. Honestly, it knocks the socks off of any downtown Jersey City cafe's. Work counters and tables with outlets to do work with WiFi and friendly vibe. Also, very very clean!

Super yummy drinks. Match was on point and did not need extra sugar or nothing. Drinks are probably the only thing I'll get here though place was packed at lunch hour and the decor are very nice Instagram worthy for sure. Will defenitly revisit

I love Belle Ame! What an amazing new addition to our community! Spotlessly clean, floor-to-ceiling windows, amazing coffee and banana bread... But mostly it's their menu, smiles, kindness, and respect for their customers that make this close-to-the-Path (JFK & Cottage) an oasis of relaxation, comfort, and rejuvenation. See you there!!!

The kids' play area is a fantastic touch for families, and the staff couldn't be more friendly or hospitable. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners during one of our visits, and they were wonderful. Everything we tried was excellent, including the hot chocolate, vanilla protein cold brew, and the cappuccino. I also really enjoyed the croissant, and the rest of the baked goods looked just as tempting. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I ordered the Iced Vanilla Protein Cold Brew, and my mom went with the French Velvet Latte (lavender and vanilla). Both drinks were delicious and well-balanced. The French Velvet in particular had a lovely floral flavor without being overpowering. My only complaint is that it felt a bit small for the price. Our group also picked up a few croissants, and everyone enjoyed them. They leaned more sweet than savory, which isn't usually my preference, but they were still tasty. The drink menu offers plenty of variety, though the pastry selection is fairly limited, and the pastries aren't baked in-house. The real standout here is the vibe. Call Me Mia is quaint but incredibly chic. The decor feels thoughtfully curated, with vintage telephones displayed in elegant frames, antique teapots, moka pots, and other charming touches throughout the space. It feels cozy, stylish, and very Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. As for service, the barista was efficient and knew what he was doing, but he came across as a bit short and matter-of-fact. Not rude, just not particularly warm or welcoming. Still, the drinks were excellent, so he definitely delivered where it mattered most. Overall, I'd happily stop back for another coffee and to soak in the beautiful atmosphere. If you're looking for a stylish coffee shop with creative drinks, Call Me Mia is worth a visit.
