If you're in the area, O'Kafe is a must have! The staff is extremely friendly I frequently stop by for their Lavender Latte and a Classic Egg sandwich (bacon, cheese, egg, harissa sauce). The harissa sauce gives it a nice kick that you don't typically get on a bacon egg and cheese! Their drinks are great and unique, definitely recommend stopping by and exploring the menu. There is ample seating - A table for 2, Bar style seating for about 4/5, low table seating for 3, and a large shared table for 6. When the weather is nice, there are usually ~3 tables for 2 outside! Walked in and there was silence, no music. Not sure if that's the norm haha since it was my first time being there but it felt a little awkward. Other than that, the atmosphere is really cozy and pretty. Ample seating and space. No bathrooms, I feel like that's important to point out if you're thinking about going to sit there for a while and do work lol. Got the iced chai, half oat/half whole. It's usually my go-to order when I visit new cafe places, sort of a safe option for me lol. Gonna have to give it a 6/10. As strange as this is gonna sound, the taste resembles a dunkin glazed donut? Not something I wanna taste when I drink a chai. Maybe it was the oat milk? Spice level a 3/10 too. Paid $7.95 for my concoction. Don't get me wrong I'm finishing the drink as I speak but I will not be going back for the chai. Instead, their strawberry cream latte caught my eye. Will come back to try that. Maybe arnold palmer too. Hopefully those will be more enjoyable. Service wasn't bad. There were only 2 employees working on a Sunday afternoon, but they were both kind and I could tell the one on bar was working hard lol. The size was also good - they don't skimp you on the coffee here. The chipotle black bean was delicious! The chipotle flavor was definitely there. my only gripe with this place is the absolute mess that is their menu and website - everything else is lovely, but it is such a pain to figure out what's on the menu, how to order online, etc. why is it all random pictures under google reviews? I love this place! Usually heading here on my way to the turnpike. Their lavender latte with almond milk is my fav. The baristas are very kind. They even gave me a complementary drink when I disliked my order. I'm a personal fan of the avocado toast and the beet salad. Decided to stop by and visit this place and I'm SO happy I did. I think it's a new favorite! The location is really nice & the interior of the store is beautiful & open. I ordered an iced matcha & a chicken banh mi sandwich. They have pictures of the food & drinks available for you to look at as well. The staff member was super kind also! The drink itself was really good, the matcha tasted nice. Not too bitter and not sweet at all (but you can add syrup/sugar from their side table if you'd like) and the Chicken Banh Mi sandwich tasted SOOO GOOD. Every single element was spot on and delicious; the bread, pickled veggies, the chicken, and the spicy mayo complimented everything so well. I love the large windows, allowing ample of natural light to flood into the room. My small cappuccino was strong and pretty good, though the latte art left something to be desired (see picture... it's just frothy milk). The chocolate doughnut was dry and crumbly - not really to my taste as far as doughnut textures go. I had to throw it out. Overall, it's an okay coffee shop. As I was venturing on a Saturday morning, desperately looking for a coffee shop, I saw a parent with a cup of coffee coming from directional, and I walk towards that way and lo and behold. Stopped in for a quick caffeine fix after we finished viewing apartments in the area. I had a delightful iced tea while other members of my party had coffee. Those who ordered coffee had good things to say. My cousin ordered a matcha latte was pretty disappointed - you can still see matcha chunks floating in the drink. I double parked outside of the café as a lot was apparently going on that day but can imagine parking would normally be difficult. I also ended up trying their hotdogs in a bun. They were also very tasty and had cheese in them which was a pleasant surprise. My boyfriend also ate it up! It is a bit expensive but typical for the area. Love the flavored lattes here--thin mint is delicious! Looking forward to trying the lavender next. The hot breakfast sandwiches are also pretty good (love that they use Balthazar croissants), and the service is friendly and fast. Great neighborhood spot! My only gripe is with the price: over $6 for a large iced latte is more than a little insane. If the prices were reasonable, I would stop by more often. I enjoyed my green tea lemonade and chocolate croissant. The cafe is located in a quaint area in JC and totally goes with the vibe in this neighborhood. I've come here several times (back when this spot was known as Smith & Chang). I've had a couple things from their menu that have either been a hit or miss (mostly misses). Hit: the aaron burr, iced hazelnut latte Miss: o kafe sampler, açaí bowl, mango dragon fruit bowl, avocado egg toast The consistency of the bowls were *always* off the mark as they would come out soupy for some reason...definitely was not expecting to drink my açaí bowls. Portion size, especially for the sampler, was abysmal. They advertise it for 2 people but really, it's suitable for 1. Also pretty pricey for the amount of food you get. I've given this cafe several second chances but I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon. read more

Coffee is delicious and this is a great place to sit and enjoy with friends. They have giant long tables so you can bring a bigger group to sit with. Drinks were made quickly and the barista quickly corrected a drink that was made incorrectly.. and was very polite about it. They serve gluten free muffins and pastries which I hope to try next time. I have been frequenting this cafe for over a year (it went through a name change and is now under new management) one of the male baristas there was so rude to me today that I was finally compelled to write this review. I had ordered an oat milk latte. After waiting 15 minutes and seeing that there was an almond milk latte on the counter I asked him if that could be mine. He said no. I asked him to check with the cashier, (btw the rest of the staff there is very nice). he refused to check with her, it would have taken literally one second to ask her if perhaps the order had been wrong. he then continued to be extremely rude to me refusing to even let me know when my order might be ready. long story short, the cashier then came over and said that she had misheard me and actually that almond milk latte was supposed to be my oat milk latte, again something that could have been prevented by him just simply asking her, she was an arm's length away. Here's the kicker, it was a terrible latte. Maybe he should stop being a barista? Will not be returning here. read more

This place is a staple to come to for me and my husband. We love a great coffee spot locally and this place hit it home for us. We visit them multiple times a week and always grab their avocado toast or vegan veggie delight sandwich. If your a mushroom fan then their mushroom toast is also a winner!! I love their menu with their coffee selections. Their pastries are phenomenal Too many to choose from you wanna try them all. I come here semi-regularly and really enjoy their coffee. I'm not a sandwich, acai, or salad girl but my boyfriend swears by their bacon egg & cheese. The 3yr old I nanny absolutely loves their cakes. I'll switch my standard large black iced coffee for an espresso or cappuccino here and there and am always pleased with the taste. The baristas are great, friendly & very helpful if you need anything more than standard service. I was in a bit of a hurry, but they seemed to be taking their time, both in taking orders and actually making the coffee. Call it a pet peeve of mine, but when a customer comes up to the counter and the barista just stares at you, says nothing, and waits for you to speak first with your order...it leaves a bad impression with me, almost outright rude.
