Belle's Boot- cocktail
Daniella A.

I visited last night with a few friends around 8:00 PM. It took approximately 25 minutes before anyone approached us to ask if we had been helped or to take our drink order. On a positive note, the "Belle's Boot" cocktail was excellent, as was the three-meat platter we ordered. However, our food arrived around 8:40 PM, and by 8:45 we were informed that the tables would be moved at 9:00 to make space for a dance floor. We asked if we could relocate to an unoccupied booth, which would not interfere with the dance area, but were told those were reserved for bottle service--though we did not observe any bottle service being provided at the time. Overall, we felt rushed while eating and did not feel welcomed during our visit

Bouncer that shoved my girlfriend out of the bar.

Everything inside of the bar is fantastic as far as food, drinks, ambiance, and service, however the bouncers are a MAJOR issue. My girlfriend was physically shoved out of the bar by the bouncers after someone next to her broke a glass. After telling the bouncer to never lay HIS hands on a girl like that, 3 of the bouncers told me to "meet them in the alley after they're off to prove how tough I really am." This is incomprehensibly inappropriate and unprofessional and unsafe for any girl that wants to go. Attached is a photo of only ONE of the bouncers that was one of the main issues. I will attach a photo of ONE of the bouncers that SHOVED my girlfriend out of the bar, told her to "shut the fuck up bitch" and told me "meet me in the alley when I'm off let's see how tough you really are". After willingly leaving the bar the 3 bouncers continued to yell and "press" me for another 45 minutes outside of the bar. I'm at a loss for words as to how an establishment in such a prime location in downtown Denver can allow this to be a problem. I will proceed to let everyone I know my experience as well as advise them not to attend if they care about women's safety.

We stumbled on this gem during their On The Rooftop series. Total happenstance. I couldn't have been more pleased. Live music. No cover. Middle of the day, perfect before hitting the Rockies game. We had some beer, watched some folks dance and loved it. My only regret is not spending more time here. We were rushed out by a group of friends we were meeting up with, but an exceptional spot. Wish I was there right now!

I would leave zero stars if I could. Terrible bouncers and terrible bbq. This place is an actual joke.

I was excited to see Hell or High Water reopen, and after visiting the new location, I'm happy to…read morereport it's still as weird and wonderful as ever. The new space is bigger, which is nice because the old location could get pretty packed. The vibe is still completely over the top in the best possible way. Everywhere you look there's some new detail you didn't notice before. The cocktails were fantastic. Creative, balanced, and fun without sacrificing quality. And yes, some of them are literally on fire, which feels appropriate given the name. Also, I don't know who was in charge of the decor, but they clearly weren't afraid to commit to a theme. I'll just say there are some very noticeable decorative choices throughout the space that gave our table plenty to laugh about. If you're looking for a standard cocktail bar, this isn't it. If you're looking for a memorable night out, this absolutely is.

Small but well utilized space with an eclectic…read morecollection of the most random things, further outdone by Christmas decor and the Grinch inspiring a holiday cocktail menu of its own. Beyond classics (ie: old fashioned) they have put together an incredibly unique blend of ingredients you wouldn't expect to elevate your drink. Definitely enjoyed. Will certainly return!

-All drinks $5 - Cash Only-…read more Fun speakeasy near Union Station. Lincolns absolutely delivers on the speakeasy vibe - from trying to find the door, to figuring out how to actually get inside (LOL), to settling in with drinks once you're finally through. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and memorable. **Tip: it actually isn't too hard to find. I won't completely spoil it for people who want the fun of the hunt, but I'll leave a few hints at the bottom. The drink special that night - their version of an Old Fashioned - was excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The other cocktails are liquor + mixer with the soda or bar gun. We tried a local gin (can't remember the name) & soda and a Four Roses Bourbon & Pepsi. There was a odd flavor that came with that round and tasted watered down. Stick with the special. So good! I'd go back all day for the special alone. The staff was a little bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the experience. Everyone was nice, but they didn't seem especially engaged, and the attire didn't really match the speakeasy atmosphere. That said, the space itself is large and immersive enough that once we had our drinks, we just leaned into the whole experience and had a great time. HINTS: 1. Go to the address listed... duh. 2. Something is COOKING through the glass. 3. Find the stairs down. 4. If you hear music and see some impressive doors, figure out how to LIFT the handle to get inside.

I've been here twice now, and it's officially one of my favorite spots near Union Station. If…read moreyou're looking for a lively, affordable night out, this is it. Atmosphere: The theme here is so cool! It's all about Abraham Lincoln but with a modern, artistic twist. There's really neat artwork everywhere showing different looks of Lincoln. It feels like a true old timey speakeasy. It gets very busy after 8 PM, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but the energy inside is awesome. Price: This is the most budget-friendly spot I've found in the area. Almost everything is $5! It is CASH ONLY, but don't worry if you forget. They have an ATM inside for you to use. Drink: I ordered the Continental, which is their take on an Old Fashioned with a black cherry. It was delicious and definitely didn't taste like a cheap drink despite the price point. Service: Despite how packed it was, the service was incredibly fast. We got our drinks in maybe 2-3 minutes tops. The staff is efficient and friendly. Overall Experience: Whether you're visiting and staying near Union Station or just looking for a fun local getaway, I highly recommend this place. We walked from our hotel, but if you drive, be prepared to look for street parking or a garage. It's fun, cheap, and has great theme nights. I'll definitely be back!
