    Brooke W.

The Sunday smoked short rib didn't disappoint! This one was 18oz. Enough for two of us. Sides were all legit. Yummy!!

When you walk in, there is a place to order all of your barbecue with a nice big sign with the menu. I love any place that serves fried okra. They also have diet Dr Pepper, which is another gold star in my book. I decided to try something different and got a sloppy Joe. My friend with me got a chop brisket sandwich. I got a basket of onion rings. He got Mac and cheese for a side. We both really enjoyed the brisket. It was nice and tender, but they were both chopped brisket sandwiches the sloppy Joe's. I could've been a little more sloppy for $12 but it was very tasty. The basket of onion rings was an apple amount of onion rings I did like that the onion stayed inside the ring when you bid into it and the batter did not fall apart. They were golden crispy and beautiful. The mac & cheese was just good old-fashioned mac & cheese. We added a little barbecue sauce for a kick in. It made it just a little nicer. There are so many things that I want to try here. I will absolutely return. The decor is delightful. And the people even ask before they take your plate from the table, which is unusual in Denver. I really liked it. It's a good casual spot.

The Smoked Prime Rib open face sandwich.

They say meat cooks a little different at a higher elevation. I'm not sure it's true, but whatever Smokin' Yards is doing they're really good at it. I ordered the Smoked Prime Rib open faced sandwich special because I had to. I mean - I HAD TO. The end cut (order taker's suggestion) made me smile. I tested some of the sauces - not bad - however I liked the horseradish and au jus for dipping. The cream corn side dish was a-ok. A note - the room a decent sized, but made in an old warehouse. It can get loud, especially at peak times.

After coming here for years I'm happy to say the food still tastes amazing and the staff is very friendly! Both of the locations are great but the Denver one is my favorite. With a huge parking lot bring the whole family! (They do have online ordering system and it works pretty well) After trying almost the whole menu I do highly recommend sloppy Joe's and the baby back ribs. The Mac and cheese is pretty solid on flavor and the fries have a bit of Cajun seasoning on them. Pro tip as for the sauce that they have in the back that's not on every table. They got a pretty cute outdoor patio area and plenty of rustic Colorado mountain theme ambiance inside.

I was super surprised in all the best ways with this restaurant. Don't let the parking lot scare you away. It seems almost deserted and in the middle of nowhere. But walking inside the vibe immediately changed. It was lively, good patio, super friendly, and great service! I got the pulled pork and potato salad and it was super filling. The potato salad was flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and the right amount of juiciness. You order at the counter and service is great. A couple different bbq sauces to choose from as well. Will definitely Be back to try more off the menu.

I tried the restarted happy hour items. It's been at least 5 years. Flavor, price and menu all excellent. I will be back to try their Thursday smoked corned beef special. Their smoked wings were perfect.

    4 meats + 3 sides combo

My favorite meat was the pulled pork. It was soft, tender, and so easy to eat. The sides tasted perfect, the Mac and cheese was cheesy and not watered down. The creamed corn was sweet and refreshing. The fried okra was perfect replacement for friend pickles. There was a line out the door when we came around noon on a Wednesday. There's plenty of seats available and they serve alcohol! Plenty of parking in the plaza. It's clean inside and a bit crammed, but it works well with enough space for everyone.

Ambiance: Nice country style BBQ restaurant with a bar inside. Service: ordering desk with friendly service and very fast as well Food: the food was what you expect. The fried okra was delicious with a good batter and perfect fry. Standout was the ribs from the 3 meats (we got baby back ribs). The sauces were tangy and sweet perfectly matching the meats.

Bleh! Terrible I guess this was brisket it was tough over sauced shredded beef on an odd roll. The potato salad was equally unappealing. The sandwich roll was tough the meat just over sauced and nothing great. Definitely will not be back

This BBQ is better than anything in KC. The brisket was superior to KC brisket. You won't miss out here.

Do you have any bbq that is gluten free?

All our meats and sauces are gluten-free.

Do your dry rubs include sugar (honey, maple syrup, etc) of any kind?

Hi Jill! I'm sorry, but I don't the the answer for sure. However, every single rub recipe I've every seen has some sort of sugar in it (for the caramelization). It's usually brown sugar.

    Do you use Creekstone brisket?

    We do not.

    Is your sauce gluten free?

Yes all BBQ sauces are Gluten free including the Carolina mustard sauce not sure about the wing sauce

You order at the counter, grab a number, and then find a table. Seating was filling up quickly, but we managed to snag one. I went with the Focaccia & Mozzarella, and wow. The house-made focaccia might be some of the best I've ever had, soft, fresh, and with that perfect bounce you want from focaccia. It's filled with fresh mozzarella and spinach pesto, and I added chicken for extra protein. The sandwich is huge, easily big enough to split with someone. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side ($17 + $6 for chicken), but the quality is there. You can also add prosciutto for less, which I'd definitely consider next time. The house pickles on the side were gas. We also grabbed a half loaf of sourdough for around $6, which I thought was a great option. My fiancée and I sometimes struggle to finish a full loaf, so being able to buy half was perfect. I had some toasted with breakfast the next morning, and the sourdough was excellent too. They also have a great-looking pastry selection, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to work my way through the other sandwiches, both grilled and cold. If you love sandwiches, Leven Deli is worth the stop.

I ordered a pesto mozzarella focaccia sandwich and added chicken, coconut ube latte and the tahini brownie. Initially I thought it was expensive but then I saw the portions! Lasted me two whole meals and was stuffed both times. Everything was DELISH and so fresh and the bread is made in house!! The coconut latte was also a surprise because usually restaurant coffees are meh, but it was VERY good. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE ONE THING FROM THIS REVIEW LET IT BE THIS: GET THE TAHINI BROWNIE. I've never had anything like it- crunchy, soft, moist, DELICIOUS. And so worth every penny. Will absolutely be back this place is so cute and great for a casual breakfast or lunch

Lou's was a cute & cozy deli that made us the most amazing Italian style sandwiches. They also had home made pastas, speciality grocery items & catering. There was limited indoor seating with one table for six, some counter seating & an outdoor patio. We parked on the street. We ordered the Chicken Parm & the Fried Prosciutto BLT Sandwiches online & ate there. Our order was ready right on time & the staff were friendly & fast. The Chicken Parm was delicious - a nicely seasoned chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella & a very flavorful marinara sauce. My favorite was the Fried Prosciutto BLT, it was fantastic. The prosciutto was crispy & was instead of bacon. In addition, there was shredded lettuce, tomato & a great tasting garlic aioli on a toasted Ciabatta Roll.
