This has honestly been the worst salon experience i've had in a long time, I found this salon through Groupon and saw they offered a Single Process Color With Haircut & Style which should have costed me 107$ after taxes. I was very excited and called and made my appointment, i didn't buy the groupon before calling but was told they'd honor it and we made a date for me to come in. It's my 21st birthday so i made the appointment for the day before so i was ecstatic that everything was going to work out. Until i got there, when i came in it was a pleasant environment, i got seated quickly and pulled out my hair out of the bun, I'm not exactly sure who my stylist was but when she began brushing my hair i could tell she isn't used to a curly 3C afro and was brushing/ blow drying it in kind of a rough manor where i was kind of cringing from the pain but i sat through it, she did the outside layer of my hair before telling me she'd be right back. 5 minutes later she tells me that she can't exactly honor the Groupon because it only technically covered ONE bowl of product. I was shocked! I questioned how much she thought it would be and she comes up with 270$ plus!!! Telling me it may vary based on how much product she uses. I was heartbroken, i went through a different salon before on groupon and they mentioned in their description that it MAY be a 30$ additional charge if you have hair past your shoulders. THIS SALON had nothing of that sort listed in their description and their reviews were only confirming how they only had to pay the base price , so i was blindsided the day before my big day. I had to sadly leave with my hair half brushed and in tears because i could never imagine spending nearly 300$ on ONE color. I definitely learned my lesson trusting a random Groupon promotion for a salon, sadly this was my worst hair experience. read more

I went here for the 1st time. I just moved back to this state, and area recently. I'm a 57 yo male, that has long hair and had not had a haircut in almost 2 years. I found this place on the web, and it looked nice, and was close to my new home. The place was spotless, and very inviting. I had a hair stylist named Taylor, and she couldn't have been more helpful, and gave good advice about how much to take off based on the information I gave her. She was both friendly, and knowledgeable. I will definitely not only be going back but asking for Taylor in the future. Pricing seemed to be right in line with all the other places I reviewed, so I had zero issues with the cost. Plus, Taylor was very upfront about once I got home, and styled my hair the next day, if I wanted a bit more taken off, I could just contact her, and she would tweek the length without a problem. TLDR: My stylist was really nice, but didn't give me the haircut i asked for and tried to hide my natural curl pattern because it looked wonky with the cut. I'm not one to write reviews, but the experience I had at this place was off-putting to say the least. I went in for a hair cut a while back with a few pictures to give a good idea of what I wanted done. My stylist was super nice and friendly, and I had a good time talking with her throughout my appointment, but it just didn't seem like she wanted to cut my hair to the length that I asked. I ended up telling her three separate times that I wanted it shorter, and it just didn't seem like she was gonna go shorter at all. At most, she would thin out the ends a little. After the cut was over, she proceeded to start styling it. She turned the chair so I couldn't see what she was doing, and literally told me not to look until she was done. From what i could tell, she had used straightening balm on my curly hair, and when she went to use the diffuser, she held it against my head on the hottest setting for 10 seconds before giving up and telling me that she just couldnt get it to dry my hair. She ended up just blow drying normally and heat curling the top layer to hide how my curl pattern made the cut look bad. I ended up going home and immediately washing out all of the product and cutting my hair myself. While i would love to give this place a good review, I was very disappointed in the overall atmosphere, as well as not getting the cut that i had asked for at all. It by no means was a bad cut, it just unfortunately was not what i asked for, and i probably wouldnt recommend this place if youre looking to get a curly haircut. read more

This salon is a high-end place with reasonable prices. I saw Taylor R. and she did a great job on my hair. Taylor made sure she understood exactly what I wanted before she started and she asked questions all along the way to clarify I was getting the look I was going for. The salon was clean and well decorated. The chairs were comfortable and the wash bowl chairs were electric, so I could adjust it until I felt it was at the perfect height. I even got a hot towel behind my neck during the scalp massage. Overall a great value for such a high-end salon. I will most definitely be coming back. I met the owner of Belli and his wife one night years ago when I was their waitress. We hit it off and laughed all night. I could tell we had the same taste. I unwillingly drove all the way to Andover from my place in Robbinsdale to get a hair cut cause I figured I had to see these two again sometime. Well I'm glad I did. I got the best cut ever from Damon. I always get compliments when I get my hair done there. Which is not as frequently as I should for I'm lazy and cheap. I sometimes go cheap and go to salon schools or to a place close and a bit cheaper but that is a crap shoot. Sometimes it's fine yet often I get a cut I can't stand. Yet with Damon the cut is good from day one til 4 to 5 months later. Last time I was there he told me I had not been in for 3 months yet my hair still looked cute. He really understands how to cut to fit your head and personality. Lately, even with the bad economy I have sucked it up and seen him each time I get a cut. It's worth it. Plus he's so fun to chat with. His wife is sweet too and is often found working the front desk. He runs about 45 bucks but if you get referrals- which I often do cause honestly- strangers compliment my hair- then you get a referral discount. So if you go say Liz sent ya ;-) I love Damon! He cuts the best hair. It's easy, no fuss and looks great. I am a big fan. read more

I needed to get my hair cut and colored on the spur of the moment, and I needed to be done by a certain time, and I called, they were able to get me in in less than a half hour, and I was out before my time I needed to be! I was helped by 2 different ladies, Cindy did my cut and it was absolutely super cute! And then Riley did my hair color, and she was able to get all the banding out of my hair, and I couldn't be happier! I have had every service imaginable done here in the past 17+ years. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. This is a professional salon. This is not a transactional salon. Worst experience ever. I went in to get multiple colors in my hair and within 5 days, there was only 1 color left. After speaking with the manager who said that my "hair must have been altered" because he has "never seen this before and color just doesn't do this", he will not stand behind the work and color that was done. I showed him photos of what color I had even just 5 days after I got the color put in. I spent $250+ on my 4 colors only to end up with purple hair. I am so extremely disappointed in the way my hair turned out and the way the manager handled the situation. I will have to find a new salon as I will NEVER return to this salon. I am a strong believer in word of mouth and will DEFINITELY be spreading the word. Take caution when trusting them with your hair. read more

I have been going to Belli for a couple years now and I drive from Saint Paul to do it. I am a huge fan of Cindi! She takes her time with both my cut and color. I get compliments all the time on my hair and truly I have only Cindi to thank for that! The only downside is that if I must change an appointment, it is very difficult to get a new one unless I call about a month ahead of time. But, I just make sure when I make them to put them in my calendar right away and schedule other things around that. I decided to splurge on a nice cut with a $50 gift card I had. The salon is gorgeous. Everything seemed perfect. The shampoo and massage were to die for. I came home after the cut and a few errands....tilted my head and thought 'This can't be! My haircut is uneven!' One side was definitely shorter than the other. Not to mention that I didn't want a short haircut but that's what I got. And then my daughter looked at the back and gasped. Completely uneven. Like someone used their blunt kindergarten scissors. I called the salon. Talked to the owner who was not interested in anything really but did offer to let me come in and get it fixed. When I asked if the same stylist would be in, B/c I'd feel uncomfortable, she gruffly responded 'Of course she'll be here. She works here.' How unprofessional! Then I called back before I had to waste another hour getting it fixed. I wanted the owner there to see my cut and see before and after pics. She didn't want to but finally relented. Why wouldn't she be interested to see the work of her stylist? When I got there she rudely asked 'You wanted to show me something?' So I showed her. No interest. She didn't address the photos at all. She didn't address my crooked style as I was standing right in front of her. I couldn't believe it. All she said was 'well you're here and we'll take care of your issue with the cut.' It wasn't MY ISSUE. It was a horrible cut and she never once acknowledged it. The only saving grace here is the FABULOUS service and cut I got fromJamie, who fixed the hatchet job. Loved her, loved the cut. I bought product after that fix. The owner stood right there watching me be charged $25 for mousse. Really? And no offer of a discount? Refund? Apology? Nothing. Worst experience I've ever had. She didn't talk to me at all and it was awkward silence the entire two hours. Plus, she didn't listen to me at all when I said specifically what I wanted. The color is terrible and she cut way too much off. Then, before me even saying anything about my hair she says "if you want me to fix it, let me know." I didn't say a word to her and she was already offering to fix it. Absolutely terrible. And then when I was paying, the receptionist asks how it was and I said not great. Bad cut, Terrible Service. My friend got her hair cut (short stacked angled bob) and when she got home she noticed it was uneven, so she went back. The stylist then proceeded to cut it into a choppy boys hair cut without any blending. They did not listen to her at all and completely botched the cut. My friend spoke to the manager and they offered a gift certificate. Why would she go back?! She wrote a review on their website and the manager took it down and sent her a scathing email in response. She took a lot of time with me, taking into consideration my age, career change, and how much work I'm willing to put into styling, (not much). I usually NEVER write reviews, but I felt like I should on this. The first (and only) time I went to Belli Capelli the hairstylist was so rude to me. The things she was pointing out and saying to me made me feel embarrassed, ugly, ashamed, etc. Needless to say, she did do a good job and I would have gone back to her if she would have kept her thoughts to herself. I have to admit, my hair was a mess and she had her work cut out for her, but that's what I'm paying her to do. I'm not paying her to insult me. I just couldn't get over feeling like a piece of **** the whole time I was there. read more
