In my opinion this dealership is practicing price gouging. In my search for a new Maverick truck, they were trying to "offer" a used (2022) model with "only" 8,000 miles on it. The original MSRP was about $25,000. They were now trying to sell it for $36,000. I won't be buying from this dealership in the future. It should be noted that Ford (Corporate) out of Detroit has publicly warned dealerships of price gouging. read more

I've had some stressful, high-pressure experiences at car dealerships, but this was definitely not one of them! Working with Marcy was a pleasure. She was responsive to my communication online as well as personable and helpful when we met in person. I did not feel pressured at all. Mike in the finance department was also pleasant to work with. I'd had great service in the past with this store. But, yesterday they soaked me for the labor on a radiator flush and bottom radiator hose replacement. Last time I checked, their shop rate was $120/hr. A $455 labor charge means it took the tech 3.79 hours for this job. Should have taken 2 hours for the flush and 15-20 minutes to change the hose. It seems that they don't value return customers...or maybe they change their view to them being a cash cow? I don't know. Blatant price gouging for no good reason. I had planned on being their customer long term. I guess I gotta' believe that saying "Never take your car to the dealer unless money is no object", now. Sad. read more

I recently purchased a 1996 Ford Explorer and didn't realize at the time that you needed a special tool to release the spare tire from under the car. Unable to find the tool in the vehicle I drove to Bellingham Ford assuming that they would have what I was looking for. This unfortunately was not the case. The gentleman working at the Parts Desk seemed a bit dumbfounded by my story and immediately got on his computer and googled ther part, just like I had done before coming in. He told me that no one had ever asked him for this particular part before and the best he could offer me was a tool that was used for Ford pickups. He advised me to go and speak to the people in service to see if any of them could help me so I walked over to the service counter. There I waited for at least 10 minutes being completely ignored by every single person working there (six of them!) before finally heading back to my vehicle and taking off. I eventually went to Discount Tire on Lakeway to get my tire pressure checked and they had the exact tool I was looking for. read more

Last year I relocated to the Bellingham area from Vancouver, WA. Vancouver Ford was amazing in all aspects of taking care of my F-150. I expected the same great service at Bellingham Ford. Wow, I could not have been more mistaken. I experienced the worst customer service and rude employees when I was finally able to get an appointment last year. I thought I'd give them another chance this year but now they don't even return phone calls. Scheduling an appointment seems like a major undertaking for them. read more

Bellingham ford Lincoln is a absolute joke. Was told by 2 employees my truck had a recall for pcm. I take it in and they say there is no recall and it will be $1500 to fix. So I regretfully agreed to proceed. Parts were one week out. They call me the next Monday to tell me that on Saturday an employee hit my truck! This causing them to keep my truck for another month for repairs which costed me hours from work, having to buy another car to finally get to work. And to top it all off after I called 5 times to figure out if my truck is done or not and nobody knew I finally got a text from Sabrina saying my truck was ready and it needs a new battery and said it was going to be an additional $200. My battery was completely fine when I took it there but they let my truck sit so long it killed my battery. So after $2100, a month and a half and the diminished value from my trucking being hit and no compensation. I finally got my truck out of that dump. read more

My F150 spent 3 months here...and I ended up having to source the parts and install them myself and got charged over $1000 for 'diagnosis'. Very poorly organized business and less technical skill than an average mechanic shop. Here's the details of the 3 month saga: F150 would not start in Nov 2021 and was flashing an anti-theft light, not accepting any of my keys. Had it towed to this dealership assuming they would have the appropriate programming equipment to fix this issue. I received a call later that day and was told that the techs on-site couldn't figure it out so they needed to wait for a more experienced tech. Two days later they called and said that the experienced tech couldn't figure it out, but guessed that it might needed a new computer. I was told a new computer had no ETA and would take months to arrive so I opted to find one myself, they gave me a part number and I started searching for one. A week later, I still couldn't locate a new computer by the part # I was given so went and asked if they would place the order for one, figured I was stuck because of the chip shortage. 2 weeks later, I called to see if there was any update on the order. The staff member I spoke with said there was no order. I was surprised and disappointed, but asked him to place to order...again. Now having my doubts about the dealership's competency and sorely missing my 4x4 truck during some extreme winter weather, I decided to go and check the part number on the truck myself...and found out they had given me the wrong part number after all. I went online and quickly found a replacement computer and ordered it. It arrived in less than a week. I installed the new computer and asked the dealership to finish programming it. They called me two days later and said it started right up with the programming done. (2 months elapsed at this point). Went to pick it up and after waiting awhile, was walked to wrong vehicle and even given keys to it...I told them that's not my truck and walked them over to the correct one. Hopped in, turned the key, no start, same issue. Another staff member, David, said they would look at my truck again and promised I wouldn't be charged for the time. I walked back to my car (with waiting wife and now crying baby) feeling defeated. I called back that evening and spoke with David and he literally said they couldn't figure it out and he 'didn't know what to do'. I had overheard someone suggest the transceiver earlier and asked if they could try to put a good one in (it's an easily changeable $30 part held to the ignition by one small screw). He said they didn't have one to try and again no ETA on getting one. Now realizing that I would never get my truck back I didn't just do it myself, I went online that evening and ordered one. The new transceiver arrived 2 days later and I went and installed it, took me 5 minutes. I got the keys and the truck fired up, problem solved! I went to square up any paperwork expecting to pay maybe $100 for the programming they did, but was given a $1300 invoice - for what!? I was the one who bought the parts and fixed the truck! I complained and they dropped the charge to $1000 and said it was for 5.5 hours of diagnosis at $175/hr. Given the lack of technical ability on the tech's part telling me it might be this or that, their time was hardly worth $40/hr... and with all of the inconvenience this should've been free. I was even verbally told by David I wouldn't be charged, but never heard back from him. I'm still upset about this whole experience and feel very wronged on multiple levels...I was given wrong part numbers, multiple false promises, horrible communication and no concrete work done on the truck but still had to pay significantly. To top it all off, my truck was trashed after this. Someone left one of the doors cracked open during a heavy snow and water seeped in allowing mold to grow all over everything (I put desiccant in the truck and sprayed the mold halfway through all of this when I found it that way) and they left access panels they removed scattered all over the inside of the truck and greasy fingerprints all over my interior and exterior. So shocked at just how bad this service was. I rarely ever write reviews and am generally a positive, optimistic person, but feel obligated to share this experience so others don't go through what I went through. Please save yourself many headaches and do not go to Bellingham Ford Lincoln, there are many other shops in town that do much better work, efficiently at honest prices. read more

I have a VPN and the Yelp locator moves me all over the place. Moved here from Seattle five years ago. This dealership is dangerous and sloppy since it changed hands. We had been taking our Ford Windstar there for service for a couple years. My partner got a small inheritance, and he wanted a Lexus RX350 like mine. They had a real cream-puff, 47K miles, mint. Paid cash. Friday (two weeks ago) he took it to Lexus of Seattle to get an important service advisory done that hadn't been done to the car. They told him it was the nicest Lexus of that year they had ever seen. They had serviced only the engine, so he was surprised when he got home and found a 2" new stainless steel bolt on the floor. He sent a picture to the Lexus dealer and asked them if they knew anything about it. No, the service manager said, but he would talk to the mechanic. Monday, the dealer called and said they had notice the car has a new power steering rack, all shiny. Ford never told him. They said the bolt connected the steering column to the rack, and the car was too dangerous to drive to them. He carefully took it back to Bellingham Ford, and as soon as he showed it to them they took it immediately into the shop and said they 'torqued it to specs'. He could have been killed on the drive home. Later, I suggested he be sure he had the wheel locking nut key, and no, it wasn't there. He went back to Ford and asked him where it was. They had taken the wheels off to replace the brake pads, and not told him, and never put the key back. He asked them to print out a full listing of everything they had done to the car. They gave the listing and key to him, and he picked up the plates and went and bought new license plate brackets. I smiled when I saw their brackets in the garbage. Postscript: Since I read down and saw the response and denial about what seem some serious COVID issues (didn't we have someone in the White House like that?), I decided to add why I soured on this dealership over a year ago. I had sold the Windstar to my nephew, who didn't pay me and neglected the car horribly, so I took it back so my partner could drive it. About 3-4 years ago. He took it Bellingham Ford, just loved the former service manager, and we spent about $1500 or so correcting the deferred maintenance. He had taken the car in for some reason, said his friend had left and the new service manager told him the car needed almost $6000 in work and wasn't worth fixing. He didn't want to drive it anymore and showed me the list they gave him. I was livid. I had driven that car for 5 years, and there were things on the list I know Bill Pierre Ford corrected while I was in Seattle. I calmed him down, and told him not to take it there anymore. Seems he had expressed interest in a different used Lexus RX they had on their lot. Oldest trick in the book. All this is well-documented. read more

I called to book an oil change on my newer ford car. They told me to just come in and they would take care of it . two hours later they stuck me with a 74 dollar charge for an oil change . I wasted 2 hours of my life and had to listen to the service department arguing and fighting. It seems they are not aware the whole lobby can hear them . When I asked why the oil change fee was so much higher the cashier made snarky comments , not sure what is going on here but not anxious for a repeat . read more

So, I am sorry to say I've had another crappy experience. This time, my car was in for recall services. I was told 2.5 hours or so. They did give me a ride home, which was nice. But, here I am, sitting at home having been told different times for completion several times; as each time came and went I had to call and got another story. Excuses excuses. I wouldn't be so pissed if they had said "hey, we don't control this process because we have to deal with Ford, so expect to have your car here all day". Because that's what's happened. But overall I feel like they don't value MY time and I don't like being lied to. I will go out of county for service in future. read more

Went to order new F150. They said they found the exact truck. Got the truck missing required options. Supposed to pick up truck next day. They said would be ready. Sales person took day off and nothing done to truck. Found out by text. Still no contact from anyone at the dealership to rectify my order. I call to find out when I can pick up truck. No one knows anything about it. Come on doesn't anybody know how to do anything at this place except take my money. Fired the salesman and waiting to see if they will let me out of the deal.
