It didn't taste like anything at all. The butter cookie had a great texture, but again, absolutely zero taste of anything at all. The chocolate chip cookie was also incredibly dry, but had a little bit of flavor from the chocolate chips at least. I did not even try the decorated cookie, the rest were so bad.

I stood at the chocolate case for a while, but the woman at the checkout counter (which was diagonal from the chocolate) barely looked at me, let alone asked if I wanted something. Nothing looked that enticing anyway. There was a paltry selection of sugar free candy/chocolate. No red velvet anything, anywhere. I picked up an Asher's chocolate-coated crisped rice square. I don't even like "crisped rice," but claustrophobia makes me do weird things. Businesses can make decisions anyway they want to. The language we use matters because it implies what our philosophy of life is. The fact that this business has placed a sign on its front door in these times of ever increasing numbers of covid-19 cases that says "NO MASK REQUIRED" reveals their thoughts about their neighbors. They clearly do not care if a potential shopper has someone at home with cancer or an immune disease. They do not care that someone could be entering their business whose asymptomatic with the potential of spreading a deadly disease to elderly customers. If this is their politics and it clearly appears to be so then it is sad because this is a good market. In these times, businesses should have signage that says masks recommended to protect our staff and fellow customers. That still allows for the belligerent under educated anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers to enter without a mask but it shows the business cares. I had been told about this sign but today I saw it in person. They immediately lost me as a customer and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this marketplace until the signage and philosophy has changed. If you believe in protecting your neighbors and caring for them then you like me will avoid this store until their signage changes. They are putting all of us at risk. read more
