Driven past here several times and had the opportunity to try it today. Upon entering the restaurant we were warmly greeted & pleasantly surprised by how large the dining area was. The atmosphere is fresh & clean. The hostess told us they also have a complete lower level. When seated were offered coffee immediately & water & additional beverages. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. We ordered 2 meals to split from the extensive menu. It offered some fun combinations and plenty of classics. Food arrived hot and very flavorful. Food was good. My friend won the day with the stuffed amaretto French toast. Italian Benedict was good. Other friend was happy with her Italian omelette. Server was very good. Food took longer than a normal breakfast... And we definitely got a "they ain't from around here" vibe when we walked in (and indeed, we are not from around there). But it was bright, clean, and the food was good. 3.5 if I could. Mostly here to post food pics because there are just too many of the menu! Final guidance - ask for separate checks up front. Mediocre at best. The set up was weird inside. The chairs and tables were uncomfortable and it felt like a preschool. The food was decent. Desert centered menu. The food was okay and the customer service was average. The reason they got one star is because they charge you for everything. What is a sharing plate charge? You're going to charge me $3 to share the food I'm paying for. Also gave me horrible iced coffee and when I asked for caramel they charge you a $1 for a small amount in a to-go saucer. OMG! This place was my breakfast dreams! So many fun options for breakfast dishes! There were six of us in our party and everyones food looked SO good, even the kids meals were amazing! I had a very hard time choosing what to get because everything sounded so good. I ended up with the amaretto french toast and I think it might've been the best french toast i've ever had! We ate there a few weeks ago and I still think about that french toast! One of the kids got pancakes with sprinkles on them which was adorable! The salmon Benedict looked fantastic too! A really nice entry into the ever competitive jersey shore brunch scene. The creative egg, pancake and French toast offerings are as attractive as they are tasty. They even offer delicious sausage patties. My only complaint is that most of the pancake and French toast creations are far too sweet. A nutty, grainy entry would be welcome. Great experience. The food was delicious service was attentive. Beverage service was prompt and ready to refill. The decor is ok. A lodge style with a little country kitchen vibe. A fake fireplace would really add to the inn like feel. Back to the food... everything was raved about and the portions were great. The coffee was like that bitter yucky diner coffee, so you can pass on that. The new orleans egg Benedict was fantastic!! I hope when I return with friends they don't disappoint. Whoever is in the kitchen on a Tuesday afternoon made me a fan. Crab and shrimp with peppers awesome. The pancakes were huge! They were pleasing to the eaters. The choice of potatoes Cajun or with onions were a compliment to each dish. Love the place and definitely a revisit. The pancake prices were a bit high for 2 pancakes, and the awful coffee, are the other reasons I didn't give it a five..if I could give a 4.5.. that is my vote. This place is a local treasure. If you are looking for speciality pancakes and French toast this is your place. I ordered the stuffed almond French toast which was more like a five star dessert. The French toast was stuffed with sweet cream cheese and almond paste with a crunchy coating and topped with homemade whipped cream. The portion was huge and could easily feed two people. My husband. Got the pumpkin pancakes topped with their homemade whipped maple cream which were light and fluffy and delicious. We had a side of bacon which was perfectly cooked. Our food came out in a timely manner and the service was excellent. This restaurant is almost 40 minutes from our house but is definitely worth the trip. My daughter-in-law recommended this restaurant and I visited it today. Everyone in my family had something. My daughter in law had the Strawberry shortcake mini stack with scrambled eggs and turkey bacon, her dad got 2 any style eggs over hard, Home fries Turkey bacon, biscuit and buttermilk pancakes short stack. My son got Swirl caramel apple stuffed French toast, my husband got salad with tuna on it. We also got cream chipped beef, Reuben and the Balboa. When I tell Everything was DELICIOUS it was DELICIOUS!!!! The ambiance in the Cafe was absolutely splendid. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I haven't found very much to eat by way food my hotel. When I come back to New Jersey I will definately be back. This is best food I have had thus far. I can't say enough about this cafe. I am so glad this place opened back up because it has been way to long. Sha swirl is a gem in Galloway township. I literally drive from Pennsylvania to go to this place. I'm usually going to a beach or family but this place is on the definitely stopping by list . To start the owner is awesome and very present .she was creating people at the door and making sure people were comfortable the whole time . They are in such a bigger location now so the vibe is nice and dosnt feel like your shoulder to shoulder with people. Ooooo man ,the pancakes were just as good as I remember and boy are they filling. It pains me to do this but I have to let you know . The eggs were horrible. I was with 4 people and I mean we all complained to each other about the eggs. No flavor ,no taste and the scrambled eggs someone got were dry and just looked bad. I used to loooove the omelets and now I actually didn't eat half of it. Hopefully it was just that time but we gotta get the eggs right . Won't stop me from coming back though but I may not order eggs. read more

Good mornin I just came there on Thursday, 02/22/2024. We were seated promptly, and a bus boy took our drink orders We quickly decided on our meals & closed our menus. We then were ignored by every employee in the establishment for about 15 minutes. A gentleman came in was seated, and a server almost immediately came to take his order. Now I don't want to be presumptuous, but on the surface it appeared to be racially based. I can't express my disappointment with what transpired. We have enjoyed their huge tasty omelets ,their great stuffed French toast in the past. Service was pretty slow. We waited a really long time before anyone stopped by to take our order and the food took an even longer time to come out. When it did it was also pretty disappointing. The hollandaise was dry and there wasn't even close to enough sauce. It was dried onto the egg and there was maybe like half a teaspoon of it on each egg. The egg was way overcooked and was not yolky. The entire thing wasn't seasoned enough. The sha cinnamon pancakes were decent. It's really big. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a nice option. My cousin asked for a military discount since he's in the military and originally they told us he had to be in uniform(?????) they took that back after we questioned it. He has military ID. I'd come back for the pancakes but was pretty disappointed with the slow service and less than average food. read more

I have been coming here since it was Shea's before. Since day one, I have always gotten the seashore omelette. I have always enjoyed the food and had an amazing experience. This is the first time I did not. My wife ordered the stuffed cinnamon French toast. Hers came out perfectly. She ate and enjoyed it. I orders the seashore omelette. I specifically asked for no scallions. I got seasoned home fries and toast with it. My omelette had scallions on top. I was willing to push past them and enjoy it regardless even though I'm not a big fan of them. I took a bite of my home fries. They were burnt to me. I had my wife try one and she even said they were burnt. Our waitress was very apologetic. I know mistakes happen and am very understanding to that. What upsets me the most is the owner just stood behind the counter drinking her water and never came over. When we went to pay, her boyfriend/husband asked how our meal was. My wife responded "mine was great hers was not" he completely disregarded that by not acknowledging it no sorry not a word and went right into payment. Don't believe the hype. Overpriced, Unimpressed. Gourmet prices for OKAY food. The owner Wendy seems very nice but that's where it ends. They have no idea how to manage a waitlist. I mean, take a cel number for goodness sakes!. Don't wander around on the sidewalk looking into the parking lot for them for 5 minutes when you have 10 other parties on the list waiting where they should be. (And then seat them when they show up 30 minutes later?) I am in the music industry. Music was so loud I was waiting for the opening act to come out. I had to yell to order and finally had to ask for the music to be turned down, which they did so with no problems, and was promptly thanked by the tables around me (Speak up people!). Staff was pleasant but service was ridiculously slow. Super creative menu but what's the point if every time I made a menu selection, I was apologetically told we're out of that or we can make it but were out of this part of the item. Offering to make one of the hard roll menu items on white bread is completely unacceptable. Saying you can make a menu item featuring nuts but your out of the nuts? That's just, well, NUTS. Came for breakfast but wound up with a rueben with sour kraut so wet the entire sandwich was soggy and practically floating on the plate. Will I return? HARD PASS. read more
