OMG! This place was my breakfast dreams! So many fun options for breakfast dishes! There were six of us in our party and everyones food looked SO good, even the kids meals were amazing! I had a very hard time choosing what to get because everything sounded so good. I ended up with the amaretto french toast and I think it might've been the best french toast i've ever had! We ate there a few weeks ago and I still think about that french toast! One of the kids got pancakes with sprinkles on them which was adorable! The salmon Benedict looked fantastic too! I really wish I lived in NJ so I could go back to this place, it was amazing! If you live near this place you are missing out if you don't go check it out!!

A really nice entry into the ever competitive jersey shore brunch scene. The creative egg, pancake and French toast offerings are as attractive as they are tasty. They even offer delicious sausage patties. My only complaint is that most of the pancake and French toast creations are far too sweet. A nutty, grainy entry would be welcome. The prices are also a bit high - especially considering egg tariffs. The staff, however, is terrific.

Great experience. The food was delicious service was attentive. Beverage service was prompt and ready to refill. The decor is ok. A lodge style with a little country kitchen vibe. A fake fireplace would really add to the inn like feel. Back to the food... everything was raved about and the portions were great. The coffee was like that bitter yucky diner coffee, so you can pass on that. The new orleans egg Benedict was fantastic!! I hope when I return with friends they don't disappoint. Whoever is in the kitchen on a Tuesday afternoon made me a fan. Crab and shrimp with peppers awesome. The pancakes were huge! They were pleasing to the eaters. The choice of potatoes Cajun or with onions were a compliment to each dish. Love the place and definitely a revisit. The pancake prices were a bit high for 2 pancakes, and the awful coffee, are the other reasons I didn't give it a five..if I could give a 4.5.. that is my vote. I'm going back, but not for pancakes.

This place is a local treasure. If you are looking for speciality pancakes and French toast this is your place. I ordered the stuffed almond French toast which was more like a five star dessert. The French toast was stuffed with sweet cream cheese and almond paste with a crunchy coating and topped with homemade whipped cream. The portion was huge and could easily feed two people. My husband. Got the pumpkin pancakes topped with their homemade whipped maple cream which were light and fluffy and delicious. We had a side of bacon which was perfectly cooked. Our food came out in a timely manner and the service was excellent. This restaurant is almost 40 minutes from our house but is definitely worth the trip. If you are looking for speciality pancakes snd French toast this is your place.

Pancakes with cream cheese drizzle and homemade whipped cream

The food was amazingly decadent! I usually go for healthy breakfast options but with stuffed French toast, cream cheese drizzle and homemade whipped cream, I had to go big! No regrets! What a treat! Service was impeccable too. Nice homey atmosphere.

What's the scoop?!? For those that are locals, you'll know that Sha Swirl was previously named Sheas. This spot is a local favorite and notorious for its specialty breakfast dishes; ESPECIALLY their pancakes and French toast. Get to it!: I tried their apple stuff french toast and it was a dream. Think apple pie filling married a cinnamon bun cream cheese frosting...delish! A sweet dish, filling, and fireworks for your tastebuds. For my sweet and savory friends, get a side of bacon. You're welcome . Parking: parking fills up fast. Carpool if you can because there is no neighboring street parking. If you're not there early, you'll wait! As you know, all good things are worth the wait though! If you're hangry like me, don't go starving (if you do have to wait-bring an emotional support snack). As always, I'm excited for you! -A

Visited Sha Swirl with a friend and let me just say I'm SO happy Sheas recipes are back. Got the cinnamon swirl pancakes which are to die for. Also got a side of home fries which also are to die for. We did have a bit of a wait, but that was to be expected. Definitely will be back very soon!

I NEVER post my food. This is our first time here and we will be back! The food was incredible. I had the Swirl's Seafood Omelet. Portions were big. Wendy and Frank, the owners already feel like family. Service was terrific. They brought us their warm Signature Cinnamon Swirl Pancake. I had the Swirl's seafood omelette. Fresh lump crab, shrimp, scallions, tomato's and hollandaise sauce. 18.99, which was was terrific. HIGHLY recommend.

Brussels sprout with bacon is sooo good, crispy yet not at all oily. One of the best made dish in all of tri state region. Very impressed. We also got the prosciutto pizza and it was thin, yet packed with cheese arugula and sauce; so flavorful! Wow Definite will return again!

We had no wait for a table around noon, although they were briskly busy on this holiday. Our server was relaxed and not bothered by the commotion, took his time and helped us through our choices. No brunch cocktails for us, we dug right in to meals. I chose the peach burrata caprese salad plate with a side of blackened chicken breast. Although the menu said the peaches would be grilled, they were cold. Perfectly ripe and firm, a great sweet contrast to the balsamic vinegar drizzle. Creamy burrata, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes rounded out the plate. This was a superb salad. The grilled chicken was a $6 add and came on a separate plate. Generous sized, the breast was well seasoned and tender. We took some home with spouse's plentiful potatoes from the skillet. Spouse went with the meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The skillet had ham bacon sausage and cheddar cheese with a huge pile of potatoes and two scrambled eggs. It also included wheat toast. This was a lot of food! This is a bright, well lit, smartly decorated restaurant, where I would love to have spent time at happy hour. Good service, good food, not overpriced at all. Maybe another visit next time we're in New Jersey!

And I have to say, my review remains the same at 5 stars...JJ's Diner does not disappoint! Our awesome server was Mary Ann with an M ....she gave us friendly and warm service and she was very attentive. Our food came out hot and was delicious - - i had another waffle, but this time with just bananas - -and hubby had scrambled eggs and hash browns covered in cheese - - and he LOVED every bite as did I. And the coffee is just perfect! JJ's is a bright light and such a heavenly oasis. Everyone should be as happy and positive as the people that work at JJ's. They have worked hard to provide this consistently good food and service over the years. We will make it a point to be back again next time we are in town.

That's creamed chipped beef over toast with two eyes any style but I get mine poached or over easy accompanied by grits. Yes. Grits. Which explains my finally trying their sausage and gravy. Quite traditional dish I'm told by a Floridian friend who I had join me this past week while she visited. We agreed that the server was allowing us the time we needed to catch up with the right amount of follow up. I'd have liked to have my water refilled one more time. But that was on me for not stopping to ask as she poured another cup of coffee for my friend. I've had their coffee and it's delicious. My friend enjoyed the international omelette. She enjoyed it. The diner has its own parking lot with plenty of parking. The inside is eclectic but with definite typical Jersey diner vibes and the counter and stools to go with it. I've sat at the counter and the service is cordial and inviting. Quick too when necessary. Enjoy if you are coming to or from ACY as it's close and you'll feel satisfied either arriving into the area before heading to AC or returning home. Enjoy!

I've always known the Place as Joe Joe's; a little out of the way for locals only. New owners as of July of this year and I've seen a lot of cars outside so when my Uncle wanted to go out for lunch I thought why not. The new owners have done a remarkable cleanup so the place is bright and airy. Kind of throwback booths that are really narrow if you have a waist bigger than 40 inches, however there are tables available and counter seating. This is a laid back place so don't be in a real hurry. Menu is really basic breakfast stuff and primarily sandwiches for lunch. Check menu since it may change. Several specials on the board Kind of in between lunch and breakfast so I got a ham and cheese omelet with some onions with grits. Omlet and grits were good. More than enough for me. Uncle got a daily special of cup of crab soup and half of corned beef sandwich. He really liked the sandwich and amount of corned beef. Said soup was good and spicy. He likes spice so perfect for him. My wife got bowl of lima bean soup and she said it was very good. My Aunt got a tuna sandwich. She must have liked it because there was nothing left. Two coffees and two sodas. Bill came to $31 so no objection there. This is a basic coffee shop/restaurant that draws primarily on locals and passing motorist. Probably a lot of duck hunters and fishermen in the area too. Like I said; laid back so don't be in a rush.

So glad that we did because it was excellent with great staff. We all really enjoyed the food. I loved my crab cake sandwich. It was so moist and flavorful. My husband loved his turkey platter. Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout. We won't be back, and do not recommend.
