But I'll say this... the rough is no joke. The front desk lady warned us, "if you're not on the fairway, good luck," and she meant it. If your ball goes off, be prepared to really search for it. Aside from that, we had a great time and played pretty well. The overall vibe was relaxed, and it still felt like a fun experience rather than overly stressful. We also ordered food and drinks -- got the club sandwich with fries, and for golf course food it was actually really good and filling. Drinks were solid too. Overall, I'd recommend it if you want a course with great views and don't mind a bit of a challenge.

The booking feature, however, is not managed by HKGC, and is operated by an outside vendor so any and all cancelation fees or issues must be addressed directly with them. I didn't use this service but my friend did, and I spoke with the proshop and learned more about it after he had an issue and I had to rebook for us. The proshop folks are very nice, both over the phone and in person. The clubhouse has quite a bit of clothing, hats, golf balls, and accessories to buy if you need anything. Only one visor option if you like visors, which I do so I was glad I had mine for the day! The restaurant was open and serving food early, which was nice. Some courses don't. The full bar was also pouring drinks to go for your carts! It was nice to take a Bloody Mary to kick off our tee time. They typically have cart beverage and snack service available too. We played a full 18 holes and it was not crowded. The greens played well. The fairways were a little dry in some areas but Hawaii Kai can get pretty dry so that is expected. It is a beautiful area and course.

The smoke was going right into the flow rider with children. Please make you cigarette smoking guests go into the parking lot! I live in Sonoma County and recovering from cancer. We have smoking bans in ALL public places. It is ultimately disrespectful to your other paying guests. PARKING LOT!!!! Wet and Wild was definitely the highlight of my son's vacation to the island, besides shark diving in the Northshore. There are so many attractions. Huge slides, wave pools. Areas for tots. Flow riders and more. There is a cute gift shop and cabanas to rent. You do have to pay to park, unless you get a season pass. I highly recommend just buying a season pass. Pays for itself. Safe locker area for your valuables. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I would have easily given this place a 5 star rating but having my child and I inhale someone else's 2nd hand smoke against our will was an automatic 2 star deduction. Move it to the parking lot! Otherwise, 5 star from me. We loved everything else here.

Well the fact that they still have this place on the program is a real let down. We looked online and with the information from City Pass we made our way to the Park. When we arrived there was a sign in the gate CLOSED Really??? We looked online again and it's clearly shows that they are open. So we call and get a rude person just telling us the park is closed. No apologies no regrets or regard for a customer or potential customer. Just The Park is Closed. Oh well we will make the most of our day finding something else So now the business gets back and is blaming the City App for the issue. When we called the facility all they said was they were closed no explanation was given. Don't blame a third party for your mistake. As well as I stated the website stated open nothing more was used beyond that. If there was a sign. Out front stating closed for special event we would better understand things but all we got was a closed gate and words on the said closed that's it. Not my idea of a of a professional company. To me this is a group of big time losers.

However, on my most recent trip, I decided to try the Hyatt Regency, thinking the lounge access and more resort-style atmosphere might be a better fit for my elderly parents. We booked three rooms for our family, and I can confidently say that this stay completely changed my perspective and that is largely thanks to Grace at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. What truly stood out was her ability to make us feel valued not just as guests, but as people. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and it was clear she takes great pride in creating a positive experience for those she helps. She anticipated needs we hadn't even expressed and handled every detail with ease and grace. Because of her exceptional service, what was meant to be a one time stay at the Hyatt Regency has completely changed my preference moving forward. Grace's hospitality exceeded all expectations and made our trip that much more memorable. It's rare to encounter someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but Grace absolutely did. She is a true asset to the Hyatt Regency, and I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves. I will definitely be returning and recommending this property to others because of her.

Unfortunately, the first…read moretwo days of our trip were heavily impacted by severe weather--it was raining cats and dogs and apparently the worst storm in decades. During that time, the property experienced a loss of power and water, and the elevators were not working, which made things quite challenging. That said, once the weather cleared, we were able to appreciate what the hotel had to offer. We had booked two adjoining oceanfront rooms, and the view was beautiful when the skies opened up. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window made it all worthwhile. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the front desk, maintenance team, and all the staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and really helpful despite the difficult circumstances. Their positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. The location is def a huge plus, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. The pool is a bit small and tends to get crowded, but it was heated, which was nice, and we really enjoyed the SWIM bar and restaurant. The food and drinks there were surprisingly good but they have a new menu so I was disappointed I didn't get to try some of the items I saw on the Yelp reviews . Overall, the service, location, and beautiful oceanfront views made our stay very enjoyable.
