The ladies here are lovely! I had some caddy experiences at other salons Prices are fair too. My hairdresser is Jessica Grieco, I found her through a friend. She is so kind and personable and always gives the best advice without making you feel bad (hair is just not my thing lol) and she is super talented. I don't like to dye my hair too often and even months later with roots out, my hair can be arranged so easily for a special occasion. I trusted her going from brunette to blonde and I'm glad I did. The salon is very clean, parking is a little tricky but not horrible. They always offer coffee and tea. I love this place! read more

I booked an appointment with Amanda for cut/color. I was looking forward to it all weekend! I took half a day off of work and took an uber from the city in all efforts to make the appointment. But the Uber took a wrong exit and got lost. I called to apologize, and to say that I am running a little late. I was outside the salon exactly 18 minutes after the scheduled appointment time when I received a phone call that Amanda had given instruction for me to not come in. I was already there! I have short hair, it would have been a quick cut/color! At least she could have tried to work with me! After begging for at least just a cut, Amanda agreed but told me it would be at least a one hour wait. In that whole hour could no one do a single-process color for my hair? She said no. She was very cold, not at all understanding. I am a professional, but I walked away feeling like dirt. I am so saddened by this experience at your salon. No one should feel like that, not even when they are 18 minutes late for an appointment! read more

Customer BEWARE. If you have to cancel for any reason last minute (same day)they charge you 50% of what you were scheduled for!!! I had to cancel my appointment same day and they charged me 50 %!! Over $100 was charged to my card for a service that was never received. Understood, that a slot was set aside for my appointment and money was lost BUT $100??!! I find this absolutely ridiculous and have never experienced this at any salon I have been to EVER! read more

I feel bad saying this because the employees are nice, but I went here and they ruined my hair. I asked for a half of an inch trim, but they cut about three or four inches off of my hair and did HORRIBLE layers even shorter. It's going to take months to grow it back and I'm furious. I went into the salon this past Saturday to get a blow out for my baby shower. I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist. I met with Wil who was going to do my blow dry. He sat me down and asked me a few questions on what I wanted. I was then directed to the most AMAZING shampoo I have ever received. Wil dried my hair and then when he was just about finished (looked great)- he stated that they were going to give me some beach waves since I deserved better than every day hair on my baby shower day. I was directed to another stylist's chair to finish my service and she was extremely friendly and did an amazing job on my hair. I can't even say how amazing my experience was here. I will absolutely recommend this salon to anyone. I was so impressed with how sweet and kind everyone was. Also my hair looked amazing all day and I got a ton of compliments. When I moved to NJ from NYC I still traveled into NYC to get my hair done... Thinking that I could find saints in jersey like I could in Manhattan until I found Bellula Salon! And Will Rodriguez! I never went back to NYC salons again. This salon has such great energy! When you walk in, Janet greets you will a smile and tells your stylist that you are there. Then you are offered a coffee and home-made baked goods (baked by Kim, the owner, herself. I have been going to Will at Bellula for about 10 years now. He is nothing short of a HAIR GENIUS. I trust no one else in the world with my color (single process), highlights and cut. I have had so many styles (long, short, curly, straight) over the years, and just about every bob there is. Will is so good at creating the best look for your lifestyle and what is best for your face shape that I aways get so many complements. I giggle when someone says how great my hair looks and I am going the next day to get color and cut. Often, when I leave the salon- I have been stopped by women asking me who does my hair. It was happening so much I said to Will, I need your business card to hand out! Will is so talented that he is also a International guest artist for joico, a great hair product that the salon uses and you can also purchase from the salons product retail section. The salon is full of talent... My friends daughter, who just started college just went to Amanda for a cut... She loved it so much that later that night I saw that she changed her Facebook profile with her new hair. On rare occasion when Will is on vacation I have gone to Cina for my color and cut. Super sweet and of course extremely talented. I am getting married next year and want to do my hair tests with Sam- she is the one you want to do your wedding hair. An updo guru!!! So talented!! And super friendly and sweet... Everyone at the salon is great, very friendly and super talented. You always feel like a long lost friend when you walk in. I have been going to this salon for 6 years. I have really curly, coarse hair. Wil has been coloring and cutting my hair since I began coming to the salon. Wherever I go, people stop me and ask who does my hair. I never loved my hair the way I do since Wil has been my hairdresser!!! Besides that, all of the staff is so friendly and professional. They never pressure you to buy the products and always pay attention to how you want your hair to look with regard to the color and cut. read more

Very friendly and professional but a disastrous new customer experience. After a lengthy phone conversation and booking, I arrived at the salon and they could not find me in the book. I was off from work and my daughter from school to attend appointment. Although several stylists worked to fit us in and make an incorrect booking right, it was very stressful. Not completely pleased with my daughter's corrective color, the stylist told us to return in one week. No charge to reapply color. When I called, they did not have the necessary color and could not accommodate their offer for another week. Disappointing when working moms have such little free time. read more

If you go there in the winter, and it's 43 degrees outside, make sure you wear several sweaters or you'll be placed near a hot hair dryer to stay warm. If they open the door and turn on the overhead fans, and you are sitting with a wet head, just sit there and if you speak to the owner, maybe the next time you go there it will be up to 68 degrees. When you have your hair washed, the basins keep slipping down, so you will end up with your neck stretched out. Jessica recently left the salon, and the hairdresser I had told me she doesn't like to get close or too familiar with her clients. If you like spending time having someone do your hair who acts like she doesn't like you - (or acts bored with you when you are really into having your hair done) even though you tip well and keep your appointments - then this place is for you. A real 'blah' experience - even though my hair would come out nice - I left feeling ignored and hoped to fine another salon, which I did. I should have left sooner, but kept trying to give it "one more try.'. Oh yes - they do offer you coffee and put it on a nice stand and there is a nice cubby for your purse - but Starbucks is across the street and the coffee is hot, that you'll need on those cold, in-door days. Very disappointing experience overall. read more
