She had such a calming presence, explained what she was doing as she went along, took the time to evaluate my skincare needs and even recommended a facial for my next visit. The facial included an arm and hand massage which was an unexpected inclusion and added to the overall experience. The products felt like great quality and my skin was glowing after. Anthony Luling handled my haircut and I really appreciated that he didn't mind that I only wanted a small trim and nothing too exciting. The deep condition left my hair very soft and my hair trim was perfect without any length taken off. I have curly hair and hair stylists usually always push to cut more than I want done or they just go ahead a take several inches off, but Anthony was careful to keep the length. If he was unsure about something, he wasn't afraid to go to his instructor and ask for assistance. This was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to book my next appointment! read more

I really like this place as a customer for their salon services. I've tried hair, nail, and facial services here. There isn't as much supervision as I had expected, but many of the students know their stuff. Appointments take a lot longer, but totally worth it for the attentiveness of students to perform services well. I have been a Client here for over 20+ years, when the school was called "Poway Beauty Academy". I had a standing weekly appt. for a blow-out, and monthly standing full-body waxing;; (Face, Arms, Full-Leg). (The old school used to be very "shabby-looking", and I used to have to get my full-leg wax in a dingy corner with a tiny light and a curtain! But the staff was great, and eventually took my much needed advice to expand the wax area and put in excellent, high-beam lighting which is absolutely needed for waxing!!) Currently it is a "Spa-Like" aesthetic, very clean and comfortable for all services, with decent prices. They have considerably raised prices over the last several years though, so be sure to read the menu prior to going, for those whom go to Schools for the lower cost aspect (Senior Citizens, Students, and myself, now a "Senior"!) I haven't been here since just prior to Covid however, I will be going soon for waxing and a blow-out, for which I do hope the prices will still be affordable, as it should be since it is a "School", and not a "Professional Salon", where prices earn their worth. Imagine telling students that they can reach out to staff and admin about other options when in NEED of HELP but instead they send the same cookie cutter response every time to you when you reach out. Hmmm. I am a PM Esti student who had life hit me like a ton of bricks these past couple of months and now have to makeup hours, which is FINE with me, but the fact that admin has NOT been accommodating is very interesting to say the least. Are you guys doing this on purpose so when I've exceeded my 60 something hours that I'm allowed to miss, that I have to pay the overages??? Seems like it!!! I am a PM student for a REASON. I work 30-40minutes away from home before the crack of dawn with one car to share. I understand that NOW there is Saturday hours again, but what if I can't make it to all those days. Why can't PM students have the "other options" that the admins so call say we can reach out about?? This school is interesting. read more
