I tried to get a piercing twice and couldn't. I went on a Sunday first and was told they don't do piercings on Sundays (information you can't even find here on Yelp), but that I could come in any other day or time (except Saturdays) and get it done without an appointment. I went back on a Saturday afternoon and still couldn't get it done; this time, I was told the person experienced with piercings would only be in the shop on Monday. It's a lack of information, but it really gives the impression that they don't want to serve customers--they open on weekends, but not to actually work. read more

I came here about two weeks ago to swap my nose ring and nose stud piercing. All I had done was get them swapped on the sides of my nose. I had jewelry of my own already in, I let the female piercer know that my jewelry needed to be TWISTED in opposite directions for the nose ring to unclip, instead she just pull the two sides apart. She scratched the hell out of my nose ring trying to pull it apart, she then put it in on the other side and did not even clamp my nose ring closed all the way. She did it uneven and the two ends didn't line up, instead when the open clasp would get caught inside my nose it would get stuck since it was not a perfectly closed loop anymore. She also tried closing it and made it lopsided, it is no longer a circle but an uneven oval! I DO NOT RECOMMEND coming here. I had never been here before and this was a terrible experience. This left me with having a messed up piercing since my healed 5 year old nose piercing was irritated due to this mistake she made. Go to a real professional please, instead of here. read more

I had been wanting to get my ears for some time. So I reached out to a woman named "Gloria" and asked her about my options. I chosen to get my ear lobes pierced with black studs she had available. First, the shop was very cleaned, organized, and straight forward. The art I saw staged on the walls gave the shop life. The team there were very respectful. Im not even going to lie, Jesus Christ himself would get a tattoo, and a new piercing on the same day going to this shop. That sounds like im joking, but im not. Second, I went in looking ugly; I was straight Domo looking, and the new piercings that Gloria gave me left me looking fabulous. Pretty weird experience here My best friend and I came here to get some fun spontaneous piercings. I got two ear piercings and she got a nose piercing. I went in the room first and the girl who pierced me kept complaining about how tired she was and how she couldn't wait to go home. Instead of clarifying what I wanted or asking me any questions, she just complained about how over it she was. I literally made a joke like "Ummm should you be piercing me right now?" I had specifically asked the receptionist for a certain type of earring because my ears are sensitive. So anyways I get pierced me and go tell my friend they're ready for her. As I'm about to sit back down the lady who pierced me runs out to get me because she put the wrong earrings on me I go back in the room and she says "wow your ear is already so swollen". She puts the new piercings which hurt so bad and I go back to the waiting room. My best friend gets her nose pierced and she comes out the room and tells me "Am I trippin or is this nose ring not the one I picked?" . They put the wrong nose ring on her too! Love this place! Super cute and clean with a good vibe and varied artists. I have two tattoos from Paul that I adore, and he always is a good time to hang out with while getting tattooed, and I just got pierced today by Gloria for the first time. She helped me realize one of my piercings I wanted her to repierce was actually open and she helped me fit a piece of jewelry in it at no extra cost, and then she pierced my other nostril and took her time to make sure it was symmetrical. I got my septum pierced here about a year and a half ago, and it was possibly the smoothest, easiest, and friendliest piercing experience i've ever had (i've had a lot of them.) Unfortunately I have to write this negative review, which is disappointing as I had a great experience here. Two weeks ago I came in to get my conch pierced. I loved the entire process, the piercer was gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Picking out the jewelry was easy and the whole piercing process went smoothly. I was very pleased with the whole experience. When discussing aftercare and such I was looking at my piercing and I noticed that the earring itself was rather short. The piercer told me its shorter because with this placement my hair would get caught in it more easily and they did not want me to risk yanking it out. At the time that sounded like a pretty decent argument so I let my initial thought slide. But I wish I didn't. I have many other piercings, and from my other piercing experiences, I had always gotten pierced with super long earrings to make room for swelling. In this case because the earring I was pierced with was too short, there was absolutely no room for swelling. It was about the size of a standard earring that you would use daily. At this time I have had the piercing for two weeks now, I did all the proper aftercare for the piercing, but of course that won't prevent my ear from getting swollen. It swelled so much to the point that my earring became embedded. I revisited this location in hopes to get the original piercer to look at it, but unfortunately they were out of town. Luckily there was another local piercing shop that took a look at my ear in hopes that they could help me. Upon arrival they checked and informed me that earring was completely sealed off. The back of my earring was definitely embedded under my skin. So they suggested I go to the ER as soon as possible because of the risk of infection. So two days ago, I went to the ER to get it removed. Thankfully it is out now, but it was a painful and unpleasant experience. I'm extremely disappointed because reading through the rest of these reviews, this shop seems loved by many. And unfortunately I did not get to share the same experience. I don't know why the piercer would choose that size earring as it seems they are a professional who knows that wouldn't be the best or safest decision. I don't know if they lacked the right size jewelry or they just wanted to make more money that day. Whatever the case I just hope they don't make the same mistake again as I would not want anyone else to experience what I did. read more

Came in for an ear piercing walk-in and was met with some of the worst customer service I've ever received. Ear piercings are located downstairs but the entrance was closed off. Upon coming upstairs for help I was told do go back downstairs and wait. Employees were chatting in the room and actively ignoring me. The same employee from upstairs came downstairs and asked me some questions (which I couldn't hear due to loud music/conversations and the fact that I am hard of hearing). I asked her to please repeat and she yelled them at me. I immediately declined their service afterwards. It's a shame that the customer interaction was so poor that no service was even preformed. I came to this shop almost 10 years ago for another piercing and had a much better experience then. I am unsure if the management has changed, but I'm shocked at how I was treated as a returning customer. read more

First, I have researched many places in the peninsula area and I find Belmont Tatoo the most interesting with several talented artists and the sweetest piercer "Jess" . Last year, both my daughters asked to get nose piercings and I contacted Jess, made an appointment and met her on the day. Belmont Tatoo is so conveniently located in the peninsula area of Belmont in El Camino which was so easy to find. They have excellent parking spaces for their customers. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and I thought they were so neat and clean and truly prioritizes everyone's health and safety by wearing masks, having hand sanitizers and making sure of social distancing. They communicate thoroughly not only verbally but also they have everything in writing. The shop is nicely decorated with all of their Tatoo artistry. It was well Organized and clean. They have several jewelries to choose from too. Jess was super sweet to my teenage daughters and made them feel welcome and at ease as they were being a bit nervous and excited. Before Jess started with the piercings she explained how they make sure that every single tool that is being used were brand new and extremely sanitized. Jess was gentle throughout the process and the piercings went extremely well. My daughters looks super cute and they were both very happy with the outcome. Thank you Jess!!! We will return for another piercings in the future I'm sure. Now, my oldest daughter is turning 18, and even-though she is technically an adult, she still gave us the courtesy of asking if she could get her first Tatoo and if we could take her. She already have done her researched and selected her Tatoo artist from Belmont Tatoo and contacted Ann Bloor. She made an appointment and today was that day. We arrived on time and Ann was so ready for us. She is super sweet and welcoming. Answered all of our questions. My daughter felt nervous at first but after speaking with Ann she was so sure about what she wanted and felt relax in Ann's care. I thought we connected with Ann well and we trusted her. Ann wore all the necessary protected equipments and made sure we are aware that her tools were clean and used brand new needles. Throughout the process, my daughter was super brave and Ann's hands were gentle from beginning to end and they finished faster than expected and the outcome were mesmerizing. My daughter was happy and extremely satisfied. Thank you Ann!!! We will definitely return again in the near future. So to sum it all up. Belmont Tatoo is the place to go for tattoos and piercings. Gloria is amazing. My daughter has been going here for over a year and started with her nose piercing that was infected due to a bad job done in Vegas that cost $200. Gloria was able to remove the post, help my daughter heal the infection, and pierce the other side. Since then we have been back for three ear holes for my daughter and my nose ring. Gloria explained the processes throughly and aftercare. The young girl in front also has been extremely helpful and fun to chat with. wait time has been less than one hour each time (weekends and/or weekdays). Not every piercing is suit best for you. They will let you know if something works or something doesn't. They have a range of jewelry provided from some locals. Gotta support that side of business. I've gotten several tattoos and piercings at this shop and have never had a problem. Until last week I went in to get my lip pierced. Right off the bat, the piercer was rude to me and my partner. During the process she said she needed to use the long bar, due to the size of my lip. But she still used a small bar, resulting in the bar growing INTO my lip just days later. She didn't tell me about the after care process or anything. Due to the short bar, the back was growing into my lip and the front was causing an indent on my lip. Unfortunately I had to take it out. I reached out to Belmont Tattoo to tell them about the experience and asked for a refund on the price of the piercing. Not a whole refund but just the price of the piercing... but they responded by blocking me. Never again will I go to or suggest this place.
