We've been loving this place! I got my industrial and helix pierced by Adam, and today I did a jewelry change with Dan. We were intending to do a tongue piercing since I wanted to have it again after removing it more than 2 years ago. Dan thoroughly checked my tongue and the hole was surprisingly still there! They appropriately adjusted the charge to jewelry change instead of charging me for the piercing :) I felt like everything was explained very well and that even though I've had my tongue pierced before I shouldn't feel awkward asking any questions I had more piercings planned, but they have a limit for safety reasons. I've gone here twice, once in 2018 to have the stretch my nose piercing open again when it closed after losing my jewelry. The second time was this week to get a second nose piercing. Making an appointment online was easy, they do ask you to prepay for the service which I was fine with. They are super clean, describe the whole process and take their time making you comfortable and picking out your jewelry. They didn't have any Diamond settings this time so I opted for a rose gold cubic zirconia stud , but you can order custom jewelry through their vendors at good prices so I am looking forward to that! Dan was patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable- making sure I was happy with placement and comfortable. I went there a few months ago to get a second hole on my earlobes and the guy who pierced my ears pierced the second hole parallel to the first one and crooked. It now looks so stupid when I wear earrings in my second hole and I'll have to let them heal up and get them repierced which means paying for another service plus jewelry. I just had my piercings done at Amory Body Arts and I LOVE THIS PLACE. I had a wonderful experience! The piercings went so so smoothly, almost no pain at all. I got my cartilage, and two earlobes pierced (see pic). Both Adam and Dan were helpful from the very start of my appointment to the very end! The jewelry was beautiful, lots and lots of amazing options to fit your aesthetic - I went with a more minimal look. They are very understanding and accommodating about the selection process based on your ideal price range and aesthetic. I normally sweat this part the most, since I get nervous about inconveniencing the business for time and also not being able to afford the highest priced stuff, but here, it's no issue at all. Dan was my piercer and he was very knowledgeable. He made sure all the equipment was sanitized properly, which made me feel safe. He also gave me detailed aftercare instructions and answered all my questions. They both actually told me numerous times so reach out for any questions as they are always available for any further questions or concerns. I have recently moved to the area and lost my nose stud. The Armory was recommended and it was amazing. Upon arrival they were super busy and more people kept coming in. I did my research regarding best places in Santa Cruz County to take my 80 year old mother to get her ears pierced after her original piercings closed up. Amory Body Arts came up on top of the list so we booked an appointment, earliest was about a week and a half out and I thought maybe just a fluke that they're so busy being so close to Christmas and all. When we arrived for our appointment the place was hopping with folks. I was impressed with how friendly and welcoming the staff was. We were immediately greeted, and walked through the process with some paperwork and jewelry selection to be made before the actual piercing appointment. The salon is decorated very nice, with lots of natural lighting and plants and nice jewelry displays. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable about materials used in the jewelry while engaging my mom in witty and fun conversation. She definitely enjoyed the vibe. Dan was her piercing professional who explained every step in the process and made sure to explain the sterilization methods, piercing technique, and aftercare like a master. We went away fully educated and ready to handle her newly re-pierced ears like Champs! I went in to purchase a simple single 14 kt. Gold ring. I was unsure of the measurement from the piercing, to the edge of my nose. He encouraged me *(for an extra fee) to have one of their staff put it in. I wanted to hold up the tiny ziplock bag to my nose to see which one would be the correct size. He would not help me figure out which size by giving a quick glance as I quickly pulled my mask down. Also, he was holding the bags so far away I couldn't make a good estimate. I bought one that I guessed at. $79.- I went to the car with the tiny ziploc bag and nose ring in isopropyl, and held the bag up to my nose. It appeared to be a tiny bit too small. I went back in to exchange the **unopened bag. He started to ring me up for the next size up , and I asked about the return?. He said they don't do returns. I explained the obvious, that I hadn't even opened the ziploc, or left the parking lot. Now I'm left with a nose ring I can't use and with tax, I'm out $84.00. No excuse good enough for this.
