    Wedding day celebrations. Beautiful views.

Congratulations -- Joel and Kelsey What a beautiful chic outdoor wedding weekend. As soon as we drove onto this beautiful property we were overwhelmed with the amount of greenery, flowers, sweeping magical vines, and mountain views. Walking up to the entrance we were greeted with a lovely refreshment station that was beautifully set on the back of a vintage truck. The ceremony was set against a country atmosphere with spaced seating and natural shade under trees. Afterwords - we were guided into a lovely seating area. Umbrellas were set around the cocktail hour area to create a relaxed, lived-in summer atmosphere and, more practically, shield guests from the sun. The entire night was perfectly set against the beautiful views surrounded by a welcoming ranch vibe. This location is certainly a perfect wedding location and history of this ranch makes for a beautiful story. The charming home at the heart of Beltane Ranch dates back to 1892 that has been owned and operated by the same family for six generations is absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded with vineyard views, and vibrant gardens. The landmark victorian home is this stunning and provides a still historic feel to the Sonoma historical ranch. Note: I think this location has everything a Bride and Groom would want in a venue.

If you're looking to stay in a beautiful quiet historic winery vineyard farm and resort Inn in Sonoma Valley with delicious wines, come to Beltane Ranch. Beltane Ranch is 6 generation family owned Ranch. Zinfandel, Sauvignon blanc, Carignan is grown and vinified on the property. The resort rooms are beautiful and exquisite. With out door view of the gardens and vineyards. I met the owner Laurine who gave me and a group a tour of the property while sharing family history and history of the original founder of Beltane Ranch. The Ranch was founded in 1892 by Black millionaire entrepreneur and Civil Rights advocate Mary Ellen Pleasant. This is a story of Sonoma County that very few locals know about. (Look up Drunk History Story of Mary Ellen Pleasant for a quick tutorial and a good laugh https://youtu.be/FoF3417mQtI ). I visited here with my wife and friends who are connected to rotary and the Sonoma County Library board. We all meet to celebrate black History month by recognizing Local figures of our past and people of our present. Mary Ellen Pleasant was the focus and we all wanted to figure out the best way to celebrate her memory and contributions. Our discussion was held in the Beltane Ranch banquet room Catered with a charcuterie board and estate wines. We had a great discussion but also a great experience thanks Laurine and her staff. If your in Sonoma County make an effort to visit Beltane Ranch Check it out!

Cannot say enough positive things about this place. We stayed one night (early December), and everything about the property is just such a nice change for once. It's a small bed & breakfast (I think five rooms total). We did a farm tour on their ATV which was great- our guide was so informative and took time at each stop to a answer questions. Loved being close to the animals- especially the sheep! We also did a wine tasting that was delightful. Barbara was fantastic. If you're looking for a quiet night away to disconnect, Beltane is a must.

We visited for the day and enjoyed a cheese board, tasting, and tour of the beautiful ranch! Lauren and Alexis were amazing hosts. We loved speaking with them and learning all about the ranch. We were able to hold the new baby chicks and they gave us carrots to fed the sheep and horses...so much fun! This visit was the highlight of our trip to Sonoma. We can't wait to come back and stay at Beltane Ranch!

We loved this place! Relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The staff was amazing a d so friendly.

*My review is about Beltane Ranch as a wedding venue* I had the pleasure of photographing this venue during my couple's recent wedding and the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. The venue itself is naturally beautiful, spacious, and the perfect backdrop for a dreamy wedding day. My favorite spot on the property is the ceremony oak- which gets the most perfect evening light for photos. Just breathtaking! The reception lawn is equally wonderful- a large space that's very easy to transform for your event. I also loved how there is space for the couple to get ready. I hope to photograph many more weddings at this beautiful property.

Oh my goodness! The staff and family are incredible! My elopement turned micro wedding ceremony and dinner were amazing! Our guests were simply enchanted by the Ranch and every detail! Those oysters and crab cakes are absolutely delicious! When the weather took a cold turn everything was quickly moved to the bridal cottage for coffee and cake. I didn't have to think or worry about a thing...my champagne/wine glass was always full and everything was simply outstanding! Thank you Paula for coordinating every last detail, managing to finesse date changes because of covid and for providing exceptional service and professionalism! I couldn't have asked for anything more than this absolute dream come true! We will be back for more events at the Ranch in the future...thank you doesn't even come close.

Absolutely stunning location for a wedding. This place is a secret of Sonoma County. We spent months searching for a wine country wedding with good wine, good food, and the most spectacular backdrop. We attended a wine club dinner and stayed at the inn. Homemade tortillas were being grilled up on the fire, the chickens were out in the yard with us as the owner told us about the wine, they specialized in Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc (our too favorites), the ambiance and feeling at a table of people we had just met was incredible. We looked across the table at each other that night and knew this was our place. We didn't get to our dream wedding easily, this amazing dinner was in 2019. Beltane was the one part of our wedding we were willing to compromise on. We are so thankful to have been on this journey with Paula and the Beltane family. We understand that Beltane is a small family business and we were all scared during the pandemic. They were transparent with us and we figured out a way to make it work. Paula provided the most detailed and timely communication during our almost two year planning. I cannot say enough amazing things about Paula. She is open, honest, and empathetic; if there is anything good through the hell of pandemic planning it was Paula. Our wedding turned out perfect in every way. Let's talk about food! We wanted the in house catering because Beltane is farm to table and locally sourced ingredients. We had the best California Halibut and steak smoked with an oak tree from the property. We also has a special Chilaquiles for our brunch the next morning. We are happy to be a part of the Beltane family and look forward to enjoying time at here for years to come.

We eloped at Beltane last Sept and it was absolutely amazing. We worked with Joy and she let us be as involved or not with the details, which I loved! She made sure everything was taken care of and even arranged for me to have a gluten free wedding cake! We stayed in the corner room upstairs and having the living room for hair and makeup was great! The elopement package comes with a lot for the price. We actually hadn't seen Beltane before arriving for our wedding. I had planned on getting married at Kunde but that didn't fit in the budget. Like most things in life, it all worked out for the best! Our family did a tour and picnic at Kunde to celebrate with us but Beltane is our own special place. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Don't hesitate to consider having your wedding here. I say this as we are sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden celebrating 6 months of being married. It's a special place.

What drew us to Beltane Ranch was the fairytale quality of the venue. What made us fall in love with it was the staff. Everyone at the Ranch is so welcoming, professional, and hospitable. Our wedding day truly felt like a retreat--all our guests are still swooning! We couldn't be more grateful, and we'll definitely be back to stay at the BnB, eat lunch on the lawn, and relive the magic as often as we can!

First time coming to the ranch. The best way to spend the quietest time. So relax and joyful.

I went to visit family in Sonoma the weekend of 4/9/21 and visiting Beltane ranch was definitely one of the main highlights of my trip. We went to Beltane on a Saturday for a 2:30 tour and tasting. Lauren was our guide and we enjoyed our conversations with her, hearing about the ranch's history and how they keep their operations both local and sustainable. We got to meet Wally and all the other animals. Afterwards we had our food and wine pairing with a personally addressed menu and enjoyed a selection of foods and excellently paired wines. I would recommend Beltane for anyone visiting or local to enjoy an afternoon on the ranch.

Breakfast. Fresh, homemade and always amazing. Many of the ingredients come straight from the Ranch.

We had our wedding and reception at Beltane Ranch in May 2017 and could not be happier! The weather was perfect, the setting gorgeous and the food was amazing. We booked Beltane for Friday and Saturday nights and it was a great decision. Staying at Beltane with close family gave us the chance to spend quality time with them. Catching up over breakfast together and taking a walk to see the horses was the perfect opportunity for us to reconnect. Chef Lauren prepared the food for our cocktail hour and reception - she was the perfect choice. The menu she helped us to put together was excellent. Everything was local (many ingredients from fresh from Beltane) and beautifully prepared - our guests are still raving about the food! Joy was my contact at Beltane, she was a breeze to work with and did her best to answer all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. All of our guests had a wonderful time, the most common adjective we heard used to describe our wedding and the setting was "magical." A huge thank you to everyone at Beltane for making our Wedding weekend a joy for ourselves and for our guests!

But first, the good: their accommodations remain fabulous. We stayed in the Upper Poolside Cottage (Room 10) and it's just wonderful. The Comphy sheets are just heaven. Their bath towels are also plush and luxurious. Two thumbs up for in-room linens! Heated floors in the bathroom and 2-sided fireplace provide nice warmth and comfort. Complimentary snacks and fizzy water in the mini fridge are a nice bonus, too. The poolside cottages are the cat's meow, and just a short hop to the pool and hot tub. But there are several things that I noted during our last visit that made me feel like maybe this may have been our last visit to the Olea. First, there was a goodly amount of trash strewn about the property. At the hot tub, there was a wine bottle cap on the bench (I know, wine country, to be expected, right?), but what truly grossed me out was the wad of used athletic wrap right next to the hot tub. Blech! As I grabbed both of these items and took them to the trash (all of five or six steps from where they had been scattered), I noticed even more bits of trash in the corner area near the planters. Like more trash than would be expected by just one party being messy. (Also, the planter area was weedy and just seemed neglected.) I dismissed it as just not getting some needed attention, until I returned to our cottage and noticed several more pieces of trash right by our front door that I had missed earlier. And apparently so did housekeeping and management. Plus broken tree limbs atop the roof of the main building. And a huge rip in one of the pool lounge chair pads. And a very large hole (~3") in a pool towel. Just signs of general neglect and subpar for this place, especially at their price point. Second and perhaps even more disappointing is how much the included breakfast service has changed. It's gone from a 2-course, made-in-house gourmet affair to a continental style DYI breakfast, apparently now even on the weekends. The only thing made to order is the avocado toast (for obvious reasons). For those guests who hadn't enjoyed the previous offerings, perhaps it doesn't seem too bad. Nice spread. But I sorely miss the delectable morning meals and the awesome homemade chai along with the service for breakfast. I'd give this an updated 3.5 stars but will round up to 4 because I still really want to love this place. Also, Star provided friendly and welcoming service at the front desk, which was appreciated.

The location is excellent, with the plaza, downtown restaurants, shopping, and a lovely park all within easy walking distance. Parking was also convenient and free. Throughout our stay, the staff members we encountered were pleasant and welcoming. The inn also offered complimentary wine-and-cheese each afternoon, which was a nice touch. Our first-floor King room (number 7) overlooked the parking lot and was located right off the lobby. The room was dark, dated, and much smaller than expected. It felt sparse and lacked adequate horizontal surfaces. With only one luggage rack and limited space to set luggage, our second suitcase had to sit on a small corner table. We requested an additional rack, but none were available. The décor was underwhelming--blank walls with no artwork, covered hanging light bulbs instead of bedside lamps, and two chairs that looked in need of reupholstering. While there was a fireplace, using it comfortably required moving furniture, which then made circulation around the bed tight. The bathroom also needed updating; it was small with a tub/shower/plastic curtain, poorly lit, and had minimal counter space. A permanent sign instructing guests to run the sink slowly--due to known drainage issues--was an unfortunate detail that stood out. And the downside of a first-floor room with limited sound insulation was significant noise from the room above as well as in the hallway, which was at times disruptive.  Breakfast was included and changed daily. Chef Sal deserves particular praise--his breakfasts, homemade breads, and cookies were excellent and easily a highlight of the stay. The only disappointment at breakfast was the coffee, which was extremely weak and never hot enough. Fortunately, there's a Peet's Coffee directly across the street, and judging by the number of fellow inn guests we saw there each morning, we weren't alone in that assessment. Overall, while the location and breakfasts were strong positives, the room quality made this stay a disappointment given the price point. There are likely better options in the area. On a positive note, we continued on to Milliken Creek Inn in Napa (another Four Sisters property) which we found to be outstanding in every respect-a gorgeous, impeccably managed property.
