This Inn is walking distance to downtown which is what drew us to this location. Ve was our host and she was very nice and gave us a short tour around the place. I was confused because we were told we could use the heated pool and then, when we went to go use it, there were multiple signs saying it's closed. The walls are thin, you can hear everything occurring in the hallway. Our room needed love. There was lots of dust build up, the television was extremely small, and the bed frame was very flimsy. The mattress was also quite hard and it was difficult to sleep throughout the night. I was looking forward to the speakeasy but it was closed throughout our stay. I'm not sure if it's closed for good or just wasn't open when I was there. There was no information given about it. We went out and came back to the Inn around 8 pm, there was an empty bottle of wine and dirty glasses sitting around the entrance area. I'm not sure if that was due to available tastings at the Inn or if someone just left it out because we were not informed of tasting offerings at the Inn. Breakfast was served between 8-10 and it was soggy French toast, warm yogurt and room temperature orange juice. All in all, I would not stay here again and I would choose to stay farther away at a nicer place.

It also has a comfortable king sized bed. Definitely a perfect room for a special occasion. A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. While we aren't traditional "B&B" types with flowerly and overly feminine designs, we opened our minds up after reading all about the amazing experiences people have had at the Honor Mansion. Upon arrival at the Mansion we were greeted by Lupita, who is the manager of the property. She was extremely professional, extremely welcoming, and made our experience so special. The main Mansion is really lovely and had touches of traditional B&Bs (a parlor, a breakfast room, DVDs to borrow and a fireplace for chatting, rooms upstairs) with a modern, contemporary Victorian style. We stayed in Vineyard Suite #1, which is located in an annex near the main Mansion. The suite was exceptional. From the bedding (I think it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in and I travel for a living) to the bath tubs (TWO, count them TWO tubs - one a soaking tub inside and the other outside is a jacuzzi). A fireplace, big TV (we didn't even use!), wet bar (brandy anyone?), a beautiful huge shower that is big enough for a small family to live in, and a lovely, private back patio (again, jacuzzi tub). They anticipate every amenity and need you may have - and they do a great job at it. Wine was waiting for us in our room, but we instead enjoyed a glass of Dutcher Crossing offered at our welcome with Lupita. They also have appetizers in the evening in the Mansion. We walked downtown to Healdsburg for dinner at Valette, and took a cab back. Tea was delivered to our door in the morning with delicious homemade biscotti. After a relaxing wake up, we wandered to the Mansion for an exceptional breakfast. They have different specials each day - this day it was a Southwestern style omelette with cheddar biscuits (with a hint of jalapeno!). We also nibbled on fresh fruit and pastries. They can bring breakfast to your suite, but we loved the cozy breakfast nook and chatting with the friendly staff. Oh, and I forgot - MIMOSAS! They have the longest list I have ever seen of mimosas! We tried the mimosa of the month - pomegranate. It was high quality sparkling and the flavor was so great. You get two complimentary per guest, so enjoy. We walked the grounds and wished we had more time for bocce and warmer weather for the pool - pool side massage? Yes, please! We loved it so much we bought a gift certificate for my parents. Let's just say - if they don't use it, we will! An exceptional, romantic experience for fans of tradition and fans of the modern.

Pearlessence Bed & Breakfast is more than anything you'd expect from your regular run of the mill inns. It is absolutely divine...the perfect place to experience wine country and relaxation.... Finding the place after the sun had set proved to be a bit tricky..it is out there people..way out there...where streetlights don't go. We were a little nervous about being so far out in the country at first...but as soon as we pulled up the long drive to the wide open space in back, we were instantly relieved by the beauty and the peacefulness of it all. We parked...right next to a vineyard. The air was crisp and clean and fresh, and I could not take my eyes off of the blanket of stars above. It had been too long since I had seen a sky like that... Linda and Greg met us outside with big, warm, welcoming smiles. They showed us around the room...all of the hidden treasures. OK...let me tell you about the room. It's pretty brand new. There is only one room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa. The bed is heated. That's right. It has a little dial on both sides to heat the bed. The beautiful slate floors...are heated. Not a typo. They are heated!! There is a beautiful gas fireplace controlled by a remote...a rainfall shower for two...I mean. I could go on and on. This place is where it's at you guys. seriously. Really romantic. Out the window...you can view a Field of grapevines in the morning while you pick up a basket filled with local apple juice, pastries, salmon, french press coffee..you name it...it's in there. Lagunitas, Russian River and Bear Republic were all the must hit breweries on our trip. I called Linda a few weeks in advance and got us a two nighter. I mapped everything out in advance and Sebastopol was a great location in between the breweries. Linda was professional and very accommodating as she suggested other local microbreweries that we can try. When we drove through Sebastopol, we noticed tons of vintage shops. My wife was in heaven! I'm there for the booze and apparently she's there for the old knick knacks! Whatever makes her happy right? Anyhoo, we arrived at Pearlessance around 6:00 p.m. and was immediately captivated by the colors of the leaves from the vines. Who knew that a B&B was tucked in the middle of an actual vineyard right? Greg greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. Before he left us alone, he asked what time we would like breakfast. We told him around 10 the next morning. At exactly 10 the next morning, we woke up to a light knock on our door with breakfast piping hot on our porch. We had a blast touring all of the breweries and buying vintage crap! We bought so much that we couldn't fit all of it in our lil Prius on our way home. Growlers of craft beer is definitely a priority to bring back to the Bay Area. We asked Greg if could leave this big wooden mirror that we bought until a later weekend and he was so gracious enough to keep it there for us. We came back as promised and Greg even helped us strapped the big wooden mirror onto the roof of our SUV. We had a wonderful experience at Pearlessance River Inn from the beginning to the end! We've stayed at a lot of B&Bs in the past and this is our favorite by a long mile. The single room makes it so intimate. I don't necessary enjoy waking up and eating breakfast with 10 other couples like it's a dining hall. Breakfast is brought to your room and hell, you could even eat breakfast naked if you wanted too! Don't hesitate! If you're reading this, don't waste your time looking at other places.

Just paid another visit to the Olea Hotel for my husband's birthday. Still love this place but it's…read morestarting to lose some of the charm it once had. But first, the good: their accommodations remain fabulous. We stayed in the Upper Poolside Cottage (Room 10) and it's just wonderful. The Comphy sheets are just heaven. Their bath towels are also plush and luxurious. Two thumbs up for in-room linens! Heated floors in the bathroom and 2-sided fireplace provide nice warmth and comfort. Complimentary snacks and fizzy water in the mini fridge are a nice bonus, too. The poolside cottages are the cat's meow, and just a short hop to the pool and hot tub. But there are several things that I noted during our last visit that made me feel like maybe this may have been our last visit to the Olea. First, there was a goodly amount of trash strewn about the property. At the hot tub, there was a wine bottle cap on the bench (I know, wine country, to be expected, right?), but what truly grossed me out was the wad of used athletic wrap right next to the hot tub. Blech! As I grabbed both of these items and took them to the trash (all of five or six steps from where they had been scattered), I noticed even more bits of trash in the corner area near the planters. Like more trash than would be expected by just one party being messy. (Also, the planter area was weedy and just seemed neglected.) I dismissed it as just not getting some needed attention, until I returned to our cottage and noticed several more pieces of trash right by our front door that I had missed earlier. And apparently so did housekeeping and management. Plus broken tree limbs atop the roof of the main building. And a huge rip in one of the pool lounge chair pads. And a very large hole (~3") in a pool towel. Just signs of general neglect and subpar for this place, especially at their price point. Second and perhaps even more disappointing is how much the included breakfast service has changed. It's gone from a 2-course, made-in-house gourmet affair to a continental style DYI breakfast, apparently now even on the weekends. The only thing made to order is the avocado toast (for obvious reasons). For those guests who hadn't enjoyed the previous offerings, perhaps it doesn't seem too bad. Nice spread. But I sorely miss the delectable morning meals and the awesome homemade chai along with the service for breakfast. I'd give this an updated 3.5 stars but will round up to 4 because I still really want to love this place. Also, Star provided friendly and welcoming service at the front desk, which was appreciated.

I found this cute property in Calistoga online and after reading the positive reviews on several booking sites I decided to book the Oakville room. Right after booking the reservation, I started receiving personalized text messages confirming my registration and providing me detailed information about my stay. They even did their best to accommodate an early check in for us. When we arrived we were able to park right in front of the property. We picked up our personalized envelope with our key to our room on the front porch. The Oakville room is located upstairs and is small but very clean , and decorated nicely. The room opened to a small outdoor patio with a table and two chairs.. Something to note- this particular room does not have a TV in it however other rooms at the Inn do have them. No ceiling fan overhead but a personal heater/air conditioning unit is in the room. A nice comfy bed with a fluffy white duvet made for peaceful sleeping. Now the best part- location! On the corner of Lincoln the main street in Calistoga you can easily walk to botique shops, tasting rooms, restaurants and bars. It is next door to Busters BBQ which has really good casual bbq.. Finally each directly booked stay includes 2 vouchers for Calistoga Roastry. This is a cute coffee shop where we enjoyed an iced latte, smoothie, BLT, and breakfast sandwiche. It is just a 5 minute walk from the Inn. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend if you are visiting Calistoga.

I was at the property for only a couple of hours but that was more than enough. -Photos are a bit deceiving - everything in real life is a lot smaller, especially the pool and bathrooms. I sat down on the toilet and my knees were bumping against the bathroom door. Pool size was not fit for the amount of guests the property can accommodate and looks twice as big in the photos. -No sound isolation whatsoever. You can hear people sneeze/talk/get changed in the rooms next to yours, no sense of privacy whatsoever. To add to this disaster, each room is operated by a PIN code rather than a key. In our case, rather than showing or handing us the PIN, the host just said the PIN out loud for us to try out from the hallway - the implication being that other people probably heard it and our room was essentially unlocked for everybody. I had more privacy when I lived in student halls at uni than at this ''luxury'' chateau. -I had a query about our reservation where we initially wanted to stay an extra night at the property, however, it was near impossible to get hold of the property - 3 contact numbers, 2 email addresses and Booking messaging system later, we finally received a 1-sentence response via Booking messenger with the property completely misunderstanding our request and providing the wrong advice which completely paralysed our options when it came to our time in Napa valley. Their attempt to remedy the situation was a bottle of wine - which we explained we're unlikely to be able to accept as we're due to catch a flight back and our luggage was already full. No other offers or solutions to rectify the poor customer experience. Overall, not worth the money, especially considering the service.

While most B&Bs look (and smell) like it came straight out of Funeral Parlor Digest, featuring all the furniture that your Depression-era Grandma couldn't even offload at the thrift store, Beltane Ranch delivers Vintage Classy perfectly suited for modern sensibilities. Charming, tasteful, and unassumingly elegant, Beltane captures the elusive vibe of Home Nostalgia that sends you back to a cozy time before the internet (but after penicillin). And did I mention the wrap-around porch is the stuff of Louisiana-level Luxury Lazy? We looked at a lot of venues all over California and when we visited Beltane we knew it had to be there. We were looking for a venue that had nearby guest accommodations (200+ person wedding) but would allow for us to stay on site with our families and really slow down and enjoy that time with them. Beltane has a magic about it that can't be quantified and it's from the care that Lauren & the entire team put into every detail. We stayed with both of our families Thursday - Monday and hosted our rehearsal dinner there on Thursday night. The food was incredible thanks to Chef Neil, every detail was so thoughtful, and the whole thing just flowed. Our families felt completely at home. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are stunning, and we couldn't have been more relaxed. Lauren, Alexandria, Elise, Angie, Brian and the entire team are the best at what they do. They were flexible, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our weekend special. In an industry full of venues that feel impersonal and transactional, Beltane is the epitome of warmth and personality. We can't recommend Beltane enough.
