Who do I call when my heat goes off? Beluga air. They built the system five years ago and when we woke up yesterday morning it was cold. Called them at 7 am and a tech Dalvin Jimenez came right out. Found the problem right away (took vids and pics). Ordered the part and at 2pm two techs: Jonathan Osorio and Adriana Rodriguez, arrived with the required parts and replaced the blower. All was covered under their great warranty. We were warm and comfortable last night thanks to their hard work. I can't say enough good things about this companies professionalism and skills. According to mfg this all should have been done at installation not in intervals. Have asked Joe to call me directly and to date has not. I am reporting this to the better business bureau as well. Update: they found it easier to cancel my contract with 4 yrs warranty and paid maintenance contract rather than fix the unit. No wonder they have a huge turnaround in employees. Shady company!!! WARNING: Do not trust this company - they trap customers to manipulate and overcharge. I was a loyal customer since 2021 until they pressured me into paying my annual membership upfront this fall (previously paid monthly). When I discovered their deceptive practices and tried to cancel, they refused any refund. This is how they operate: lock you in financially so you can't leave while they control pricing and force continued, unnecessary spending. The pattern I experienced: paid for repairs with verbal promise of credit toward full system replacement, they refused to honor it. Tech declared my system "dead" while I was traveling internationally, pressured a sale, then suddenly "fixed" it by resetting a breaker when I refused. Two weeks later their project manager texted admitting "we never did anything to get your [system] running" - written proof they didn't complete the work. Another tech came for a heater tune-up a month later, asked if my AC still worked and seemed disappointed it did. Tried to upsell me on a membership upgrade for a "free capacitor" while claiming I needed a full system replacement. My AC died the very next day. They quoted 25-70% higher than other licensed contractors for inferior equipment. When another company came to evaluate my system, they found parts had been disconnected and documented it with photos. If you're already a customer, document everything in writing and get out before you're trapped deeper. If you're considering them, choose any other San Antonio HVAC company. I filed chargeback with my credit card company, TDLR and BBB complaints, and am replacing my system elsewhere - saving thousands for better equipment and honest service. read more

We'd gotten several quotes {we're a military family from Boston MA and knew nobody in town we could ask for a recommendation}. It seemed like all the other companies tried to dazzle us with bull****. Had a full HVAC replacement with Beluga recently. They worked with me on an extremely fair price on a very reliable unit. There was never any pressure to buy on the spot and they only recommended what made sense for me. After the install I had a few issues that had nothing to do with how they installed the HVAC, but just unlucky bad wiring from previous contractors. Beluga handled it with grace and made sure everything was right. It took several trips back, but they never complained and always sent the most friendly techs to handle the issue. Everything is resolved now and all I can say is they did a fantastic job. This business is no joke. They actually know how to take care of their customers. I will be a Beluga customer for life. After talking with several air conditioning companies we decided on a Carrier Infinity system from Beluga Air. It was a difficult decision because every company seemed professional and they all had quality products comparable to Carrier. But in the end we chose Beluga Air because they seemed to understand our existing system best and offered what was to us a better solution going forward. The installers, Guillermo and Joe, worked 13.5 hours with only a lunch break to get our new system up and running in a day. Our house has only a tiny attic space which meant they had to work from the A/C closet itself and replace the air box above their heads and reattach the air ducts. Not fun I'm sure! The installation itself is neat and professional, they didn't cut corners even as they wrapped up at 11:00 pm. We couldn't be happier with how quiet and efficient the new system is working! Once again, Beluga Air did an excellent job. My blower fan motor on compressor had stopped working and as a consequence the compressor was not functioning due to over pressure. My place of residence of over 18 years went from a house to a home in an amazing 2 days. When I went into this house I had my daughter, her four children, my son, my wonderful wife, and myself. The house was from 1959 as I could not afford much more but I managed to paid it off. We lived with one bathroom and four bedrooms, I loved the house but as time went by, we had our share of problems with it. As the house got older more problems arose, but the one that was always worse has been the air conditioner putting out less cool air, summer prices going up way over many months of $500 electric bills. Then repairs every year when it got cold and we used the oven many times to keep warm. Part prices rose, then fewer parts, and when we found them it has been weeks. We even wore out a stove. This year was no different. The A/C unit had flooded the heater and water had been standing in the electrical. After research of reading 100s of reviews, my choice Beluga Air. I called Beluga Air, when their technician came by he looked at everything and told me this unit is pretty much dead, it is 38 years old, and showed me so many things wrong, we agreed. I am a retired automotive technician and do know when there is no more life in mechanical devices, or otherwise was going to costs me dearly. So sat down and he showed me some options. None were cheap, but I knew that what he showed me made sense, and I decided on a unit that would save me money in the long run, but was out of my affordably and thought I may have to buy electric heaters to keep the house warm. But I really didn't want that and he told me that they have ways to help with financing my new central unit. So I decided on one way to try and get my financing. I do have good credit and so I got enough credit to pay for the unit. He told me they would be out the next morning. I told him OK but when I figured it in my head the terms were too long and the pay back on the interest was too much. So I could not sleep as I didn't know what I was going to do, but I couldn't do this, so when the service truck showed up I told them I just couldn't do it. I did feel so bad too as I didn't know what too do. I also told the dispatcher that I could not do this, I could not afford it. Was not to long and the owner of Beluga called me. He was so nice and told me there were some other ways I could get financing and he shared them with me. They were better deals and I applied for one and got it. The terms were so good I told them to come back when they could. Two days later this crew drove up to my house and started unloading stuff. This was the same crew from before and they were so polite, nice, and began working right off. It was amazing they worked hard and when the unloaded, everything was better than I could have thought possible. They brought the outside A/C unit and it was the right size for my house, instead of what was in my house when I bought it. They even moved it to a place I asked for and set it up. As time went on they ripped out everything in my tiny attic and it was all disgusting to see what I had up there. They took out my inside central air and heater units and even coordinated a plumber to fix a leak that always flooded my house when we would take a shower. I had not had a shower in way over a year and jonesing for a shower for so long I cried when I got one. After the plumbers left this crew went into overdrive and I felt for the first time I had done the right thing. They worked late into the evening and this sweet small young lady and her counterpart a skinny young man worked so hard to remove and replace all of my ducting. The closer it got done the more excited I was to see a twenty first central unit. They even felt like close family was working for me. What I can say is what they did was so very hard, I can't believe how nice everything is now. I am sitting here in my living room, with tears running down my face as I write this as it is the first time I really felt like this was my home and not just a place to live. They offered to set me up in a motel at their expense, but I am a hard headed and told them no and just because I didn't want for them to spend the money on me. They deserved to make every dollar they earned it. Every one I talked to, even if I didn't meet them, felt like close family as they were there for me, for the quality work they did for me. They made the rest of my life better. It was expensive, but you get what you pay for and I felt like I even cheated them as what they priced me was better than I could have every dreamed of. They charge what they said and it was not cheap at all, it was what I had hoped for, that I would get quality. If you are looking for trustworthy, hard working, quality everything then these are the people for you. A great clean up before they Left. Mark and Javier installed a new HVAC system for me recently. My house presents some complications for install, but Mark and Javier did a great job. They took their time in both removing my old coil and furnace from my upstairs loft and loading the new equipment upstairs. The owner and supervisor even came out to help. I've been a happy customer of Beluga Air for 3 years now. On December 1, 2025 I realized colder temperatures had arrived and I needed to have my HVAC system checked out before using the heat. If you value honesty, competence, and accountability, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Beluga Air. Beluga replaced our AC evaporator just 13 months ago -- a major and expensive job. What they failed to mention at the time (and later admitted) was that they never replaced the catch/drip pan during the installation, a basic and critical component of the system. Fast forward barely a year, and we began seeing excessive condensate in the overflow pan. When we called Beluga for help, the first technician immediately tried to upsell us on an outrageously priced condensate pump -- conveniently ignoring the actual issue. He even showed us a photo claiming our condensate line was plugged. The problem? That photo wasn't even of our unit. The next day, another Beluga representative arrived and declared that our evaporator coil was leaking and might have damaged the compressor. Their "solution"? Push us toward buying an entirely new system. Sensing something was off, we brought in two other HVAC companies for independent opinions. Both confirmed that the evaporator was fine -- the real culprit was a cracked condensate pan (the very one Beluga never replaced). The resulting leak had saturated insulation and corroded the housing. We ultimately had to replace the blower/evaporator unit ourselves, at significant cost. Beluga initially promised to "make it right," but predictably, that promise went nowhere. Between the upselling, the misinformation, and the refusal to take responsibility for their own mistake, Beluga Air has proven themselves untrustworthy, unprofessional, and uninterested in standing behind their work. Bottom line: If you want an HVAC company that values integrity and craftsmanship, look elsewhere. Beluga Air will waste your time, your money, and your patience. read more

Last time I called these guys, it was too late. AC was already out and we were happy to see them arrive and fix it. I already left that review and it was good. THIS time they were the ONLY people I called when my AC started acting up. Got the schedule set and Michael R. arrived a little early and was done with the full inspection and repair quickly. Nothing major wrong, but it was only running at about 70% so I had the recommended (and soon to be necessary) capacitor repair made now. Recently had a new whole unit installed with this company as they were the most reasonably priced for what I needed. After install I identified a few issues with cooling quickly in Texas , however, the owner Joel came out with his installer to assess the issue and made repairs with in a couple of days and retrained his crew on why the issues occurred. I believe that ratings for companies should be accurate and fair. I use ratings such as this, to decide to use or not use a company. So for me, this is a rather unusual review. I normally would not leave 5 stars for some of the issues I encountered with the installation of my mini-split system. I'm not going to cover all of the issues I encountered for a few reasons: First of all, all companies at one time or another suffer because of the employees failing to live up to the expectations their company sets for them. Unfortunately, I was the recipient of this "falling short." Now, this is what matters the most to me - how the company responds when they have failed to provide the level of service that meets expectations. This is where the 5-star rating comes in. Once the owner of the company was made aware of the situation, he came personally to my home. He IMMEDIATELY took ownership of their failures, profusely apologized and assured me that he would make it right. This entire process took 3 trips by their company to get the job done correctly. During this process, the owner was contacting me personally to keep me updated on the process of the correction. Even in the most difficult time of the installation, the technicians remained polite and professional. I was never presented with any type of unprofessional behavior or attitude. The owner expressed to me that he had a meeting with his employees and let them know that this level of service was unacceptable. There are many companies out there that will try to blame other things or even blame their customers for their failures. There are many companies out there that you will be exhausted trying to get them make it right. So, I'm convinced that the service I initially experienced on this installation was out of character. Unfortunately, I was the one to experience it. But here's the thing....when there is an issue and the company steps up and takes ownership for it and corrects the situation.....that is so refreshing in this day and age. So yes, I was initially displeased with my service. But how it was handled is worthy of the 5-star review. Beluga Air installed my AC and heating units about 3 years ago and added attic insulation and now I have my mini-split system for my garage. Every employee from the phone staff to the technicians to the owner were professional and I really felt that they were on my side to make it right. It is because of the way they handled this, I will continue to recommend Beluga Air, because of their SUPERIOR service. read more

Beluga was helpful offering me steps to trouble shoot my 6 yo Trane. I tested the capacitor and it was weak and I replaced it. The system continued to cycle on/off and would not cool. Poked around on line and the symptoms seemed to indicate a bad blower motor. Called Beluga back and after inspecting the unit the tech said the coils and compressor were bad and quoted $5500 to replace both. Also quoted a full new unit at just under $8k. I told the tech I need a second estimate. I called another company and they diagnosed a bad blower motor and the total cost to repair was just under $1100 including labor. I did not prompt them nor tell them I had already received a quote from Beluga. I have used Beluga twice at two different properties and both times they have tried to run up the cost. In this case I'm not sure if this was a case of "bid high if you don't want the job" or simply trying to to take advantage of us. In any event we will never use Beluga again. read more

Awful experience. Asked them for a quote to install a pump. They said they needed to diagnose my unit first. I asked if that cost anything and they said it costs $85. I said no thanks. They then called me and texted me saying they would do the diagnosis for free. Went to house,, my handyman was there and he said what he thinks was going on with the unit. They then recommended repairs based on his word, without bothering to check the unit, and then said they would need to charge me to actually look at the unit (exact opposite of what they said earlier). GIANT waste of time. Oh, and the repair they quoted was literally triple every other provider we had spoken to. read more

Beluga Air is a five star business. We used to be customers of John Wayne. *I have never seen such unabashedly shameless up selling and crazy pricing, as I did when we used John Wayne. Our relationship ended when they tried to charge over $600 for the replacement of a thermostat and their client, my aunt, was 89 years old and had signed up for every service plan they offered!! Isn't there a law against that type of scheming? Needless to say, after I found a thermostat on Amazon for $27, the Jon Wayne employee stuttered his way out of the house and I closed down their account with Jon Wayne. Beluga Air responded to my call and replaced the thermostat for 50 bucks. Beluga Air is fast, fair, efficient, responsive, affable, customer service oriented and pleasant to do business with. Well thank you for the replied, especially form the owner. I am very satisfied with my unit. My questioning was not your prices, but the failure to use a scale during the installation of the refrigerant. How will they know how much was installed. I am just making sure consumers aware of the correct way of refrigerant installation. If you hire them and they want to push refrigerant (bread and butter) make sure they weigh the canister before so at the end you will now that the differnce is what they push and not some tech flapping his lips. read more
